So he went back to tell the mother and when she try to give it to him again, he said no... Don't give me again... I want to go and look for it,, so he left home for over a year only to be returned looking so dirty and dry,when the mother saw him she cried,,, and then he took the money to his father,the father was happy and took him to that same spot and when he wanted to throw the money into the fire,the boy dived his father,, in his words do you know how I suffered before i could make that money? Don't do it again dad.
Then the father said now you're ready to inherit my wealth.
When you buy a car for someone he may not know the value and use it anyhow but when they buy themselves through the right means they take good care of it.

So he went to ant and beg him for food, ant told him that he cannot share his food o besides ones the grasshopper will eat,it will take him days to finish it and the food is calculated so he said when i was carrying the crumbs falling from the table of men you were insulting me but you didnt know i was saving for the future,he said time comes when you cant go out again so work while you can,,,, make hay while the sunshine,,,,,, my people hunger surfer grasshopper.
Lazyness is not good,,,your rainy days are coming too,when your age no longer allows you to work please work now and plan your retirement now,,,,had I known is a brother to Mr too late.
No4, it leads to hunger.
He go beat tou eehn,,,and thats why most of our youths are waiting for one politician or uncles to settle us before we do anything even as a married man
No5, Laziness limits potentials.
It will make people to disrespect you.you will leave far below your potential,, let me close with this story.

There was a rich man who had only one son,,so he told his son one day,, Go and get me 1000 dollars and everything I have will be given to you,,so the boy went and told his mother about it so the said don't worry my boy, I will give it to you and she gave him the 1000 dollars.
When the boy gets to his father and presented it the father was happy and praised the boy and took to the sitting room and collected the money from him and throw it into the house heater which is the fire.

Then, he frowned and asked the boy, I told you to go and bring me a 1000 dollars what are you doing and the father angrily left.
So he went and tell the mother again, same thing happened, she calmed him down and give him the money again, he took it to the father and same thing happened and father looked disappointed.

Avoid hasty decisions without careful consideration.

Please if you want to add value to your life, avoid hasty decisions. Had I known is a brother to mr too late.
Hasty actions leeds to foolishness.

Avoid laziness.
In as much as a man needs to know his pace of life,,, when you dont do what you can do you becomes a lazy man,and it reduces value to the least.

Causes of Lazyness no,1,
Laziness brings limitations.
It limits you,places you should be, you cant go cos of Lazyness.
You that is so brilliant that is supposed to be the best graduating student with 1st class, Lazyness has made you graduate with pass, how will your worth increase in your society.

2, Lazyness makes you a slave

Let me tell you a story,,, one day two friends were talking the ant and the grasshopper,so the grasshopper was telling ant,why you do you want to kill yourself with work,as young as youre,youre just hustling then he said look at my wings look how beautiful i looks,everybabe dey die for me,,this girls will pay for this beauty,so he said this dry season ant sometimes come and see this young girls its fun,,so the ant said he is working for tomorrow, so after the dry season the raining season came,and the grasshopper could not go out anymore cos of the rain.
So the babes are not seeing his beauty again therefore they cant pay him again,so hunger tortured our brother grasshopper.

Let me share somethings alcohol and drugs can cause.
No1. It leads to regret.
I remember someone carried a lady in the night,and that was 24th December,after much drinking with friends,he picked up a lady and take here home and after sleeping with her he slept off,in the morning when he wakes up he chased her out that she is too ugly,he regreted ever carrying her,,,,
No2,it leads to immorality
,, my senior friend. Pereowei nwankwe said. After two bottles all women are beautiful.
,, you drink two bottles in a bar or club the next thing you see a lady with big chest and cos youre not thinking straight again you carry her to one hotel,, after the round she tells you she is pregnant, and he is married.

My brother something that can be avoided,,,,
,, apostle paul,,,, flee also youthful lust,,,,,, it is important stay way from drugs and alcohol.
No3, it makes people to go insane
,, when your brain no strong reach to take colos and you take am you go no far,,,it is better to avoid it
No4, it makes you loose your dignity.
In Gen 9: Noah was drunk and his younger son saw his nakedness,,,
When the noah gets himself he cursed his own son, so pathetic.
No5, it makes you loose your reasoning
In 1samuel 25. Abigail's husband Nabal forgets he is dealing with David because he was drunk.
,, Omor he get as you drink or take one kind drug you go feel say na you strong pass,,, you challenge people that are your superiors,it is better you avoid it.

The last time we talked about how we can add value to our lives,and we said we need to discover purpose.
Then we talked about things to avoid if we must add value to our lives,and we said we need to avoid peer pressure.
That teaching was awesome.
Second thing to avoid if we need to add value to our lives:
Avoid alcohol and drugs.

Proverbs 31:1_7. Please read
There are things have seen that alcohol has cursed in the life of individuals that are doing well in our society.
There in proverbs 31 lemuels mother was specific that it not nice for a king to take strong wine, cos you might end up making bad discissions that can affect your future.

Alcohol has made many many to be abusive to there wives,cos they are intoxicated.
Alcohol has made many say things they are not supposed to say, secretes youve been keeping for so long as you drink a bit,you started your friends all your plans and only God knows the kind of friend you have,the scripture said the heart of man is wicked who can know it.

There was a man in the book of esther,his name is king Xerxes, he gathered the country and have Merry,and after taking wine he told the people that his wife Queen Vashti is so beautiful, that if they want he will tell her to show her beauty before the citizens,so he sent for her,,,but she said no she is not coming.
This is a king,only God knows if she is to show her nakedness before the public,she refused and the province leaders told the king to divorce her cos there wives will disrespect them at home too,and she was dismissed,can you immerging? Mind you if she had come to show her beauty to the people, when the kaikai clear for him head,,he will say the people have seen her nakedness therefore he can't marry her again. Ogogoro just destroyed that home.
A friend was telling me a story how cultists were chasing a boy and because he took too much drugs and alcohol he could not run and they caught up with him and killed him in my area.

We talked about how we can be a Godly youth even in times like these.
When people that are supposed to lead people to christ comes with characters that are questionable.
I wonder were we need to learn from,,, but even in the midst of all of these, God is still God.
And we said the no one way for us to be a Godly youth is that we accept and confess him as our lord and saviour.
And we said we need to place value on the things of God.

So then how do we add value to ourselves.

You see the worth of everything must be built by it. Because the work of a man is to devalue anything that comes his way, including the value of a man. For instance, have you ever gone to the market and they tell you the piece of what you want to buy is 10k and you know the price is fine yet you will ask if not 9500.

I'm sure it has happened to you too. You have done it also. It is innate for a man to devalue everything.
As a person you only need to prove your worth so people can keep you at that level.

To God be the glory! We have come to a new year.
An opportunity to sitback and learn from last year and go again this year. For surely this year shall be far better than last year.

*Restrategise, put important things first.*

Past year is gone for good. Some of us achieved great things,you that achieved congratulations and I want you to know there is another waiting for you this year. Those of us that do not achieve the things we stand to achieve last year. This is another chance for us,change your pattern if need be, work harder if need be and keep your eyes on the prize.

Just allow God to put price tag on you that is only when your worth or value will not diminished.
It is your value for God that will determine your value or worth of life, Godly life is a life of influence.
How can we add value to ourselves?

Develop yourself, even character wise, your selling point.

Every product priced in the market is from a process and it is private,
Are you a private failure and public celebrity?

When no one is seeing you, how do you handle matters?. Integrity is maintaining the same even the private,you be different from what sees in you when you're alone
Accept Jesus, He is the author and the finisher of our faith.

*So how do I be a Godly youth?*
No1, Accept and confess God as your lord and saviour.
If we must be a Godly then we must value God.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV‬
[13] Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Eccl.12.13.KJV
Value for God is essential as he is the only one that can keep us from any obstacle that may come our way.

Value for God produces,,, knowledge of God
And what do you know about God,,,, you know ability.
When a man knows the ability of his father his mind is at peace knowing his father is able, so to God when you know his ability youre not threatened by whats happening around you,you know even in the darkest hour he is here with me, there is this knowing deep down that if God be for you no man can be against you.
There is this confidence you will have knowing God is with me.

One of this nights we were sleeping and my wife woke me up in the middle of the night. In her words babe babe wake up, wake up, so I asked what is it? Then she said there is a big bird on our roof,get up lets pray,she was panicked, then I told her it fit be witch e fit be bird babe sleep.
She said she look at me in disbelief. The next morning I asked her, don't you know who you are?
Why act like someone who doesnt have Christ.

That motivated her a lot,you must value God, know he is able
"The song writer says, I know is able, i know my God is able to carry me through."

God is able,if youre going through any challenges just know God is able to see you through. *Even this one will pass.*
Value for God makes you know that God is available.
It makes you know the availability of God.
Is a good thing to know that God is available.
Just imagine you sit with your enemies he is available even there,no wonder david said even though I walk through the value of shadow of death I shall fear no evil for thou at with me,thou prepared a table before me in the presence of my enemies, thou anointed my head, my cup runneth over. You're a christian? Is it because you have many titles? They now calls you a pastor is that why?
Is it because you go to church?
,, listen all kinds of people goes to church,,,a church is like a hospital, because you go to church doesn't necessarily means you're a christian, because you sleep in a garage doesn't make you a car,. where is the nature being changed in you,how conscious are you on making decisions. Romans 8:16 KJV‬
[16] The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Listen,,, there should be a knowing deep down that you're a child of God.

Let me quickly mention some challenges faced by youths this day
No 1, peer pressure
No2, social media,
No3, mental health as a result of pressure.
Let me explain
no3,
youths this days faces pressure from many sources that our mental health affected,for instance. When I was much younger my mother use to compare me with a friend of mine. At that time he had a woman they've given birth already and he is hustling so hard to sustain his family.
And I was so lazy. so my mom use to say,are you not seeing that your friend,he is times 10 better than you. He feels disappointed cos i could not go out and carry plank like other boys and bring money home.
I use to tell her don't compare me with anybody we all come for different purposes. I might be lazy in action but brain is like the brain of 10 person put together she wouldn't listen, but now she cant compare us again
This are some of the reasons our youths go into fraud.

No4. lack of employment.
No5. Identity formation. This means no starter pack.
Proverbs 13:22 KJV‬
[22] A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: And the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

Our parents did not leave anything to start with yet at 15 they want you to feed them when you don't even know your identity. This is a problem affecting youths today.

*YOUTHS IN TIMES LIKE THIS*

I want to talk to us all, believe a woman who is strong enough to encounter obstacles physically and overcome is a youth. Who is a youth?
A youth is the state or quality of being Young
,,,Godly,, this means someone who accepts jesus as his lord and saviour and maintaining the God life,, it means youre a christian....
,,, who is a christian? A christian is a follower of christ,someone who shows the lifestyle of jesus Christ.
So a Godly youth means, a christian youth,, or a young man that is a christian

,,, now i want to open our eyes to many things this morning l,
There are questions we need to ask ourselves and answer.
,,,cos the world is becoming something else. Many people called pastors has become a problem to christiandom, you may be asking how,,,this is how, people tends to believe more when the person they are dealing is a man of God,
,, were as many are hiding under that name but not acting accordingly, for instance in my state,a line of business was made that made people to add there money called (baraza). Many fell for it cos the head of it was a pastor.
Millions of naira was lost by people cos they believe he is a pastor and will be truthful,so pathetic,,,
,, it so unfortunate that people no longer give men of God the respect the early men of God enjoyed just cos of this singular acts by this unfaithful men of God.
Now we said times like this,,,,
What is time,,,,in this context,,, time is that which decides the activities of life.

Even in this horrible time, are you still a christian? Integrity is a man keeping himself alive even when no one sees him.
How do you handle things when no one sees you? Are you not public celebrity and private failure?
