Celebration of victory service with Deaconess Ronke Adebanjo
Message title: overcoming temptation.
Text: James 1: 2-4;12-15. John 16:33

* God does not tempt us, He tests us but with testing comes temptation.
Test is different from temptation but they go hand in hand.
Temptation is an enticement to do wrong and from the devil with intent to distract while test is an endurance trial from God with intent to grow, mature and progress.
* How does temptation come about?
James 1:14-16: desire, enticement, conception, birthing & death.
* Types: lust of the flesh, lust of the eye and the pride of life. 1 Jh 2:16
Overcome by studying and praying and be aware of 1 cor 10:13(NLT)

Celebration of victory service with pastor El-Jerry Oseonwan.
Message title: Seeing the invincible; abiding in the glory.
Text: 2 cor 4:7-18

What we see and the way we see them matters a lot because it determines the value we place on them and how we relate with it.
Ref: 1 john 3:2; Rev 1:12-16
Jesus portrait in Glory is who we are to be on earth; it is abnormal for a believer to live a normal life.
When we see His glory, we become who and what we are seeing.
Be conscious of His spirit and be intentional to make sure you carry His spirit always.

Celebration of victory service with pastor Akeem Adebanjo
Message title: The unexamined life
Texts: 2 cor 13:5; psalm 26:2; psalm 139:23 - 24
Why the need to examine oneself?
It is to ensure we are living in compliance with God's standards.
An examined life helps us to test our motives and heal our conscience.
An examined life helps you to know when your heart has gone astray.
An examined heart will alert you when you are wanting in your prayer and study life.
Self examination helps you ask the right questions, spot out things early and address them.
It is necessary to undergo a personal retreat of retrospection and introspection so as to help you recalibrate and reinvent.
We must make it a habit to continually and intentionally examine our life.
Do not gloss over what the spirit convicts your heart of, deal with it so that you may grow thereby.
Shalom!!!
