Topic: Giving - Firstfruits
Scripture: Proverbs 3:9-10; Nehemiah 10:35-37; Romans 11:16; Exodus 2:23
Firstfruit means "promise to come." It refers to the initial and choicest produce that ancient Israel brought to the temple to thank God for His blessings. So, the rest of the harvest is blessed because the firstfruits are dedicated to Him.
Isaac was Abraham's firstfruit. If the first is blessed the rest are blessed. Genesis 22:15-18.
Firstfruit is a God-principle that works. If you plant disease-resistant seeds in the ground, you will have a disease-resistant plantation. The devil understands the principle of firstfruit, that is why he went for Adam and Jesus. Romans 5:12; 1 Corinthians 15:20-23.
