BAYELSA CONFERENCE CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES DIRECTOR VISITS YENAGOA DISTRICT FOR DOUBLE CELEBRATION AND WEEK OF PRAYER LAUNCH.

YENAGOA — The Yenagoa District of the Seventh-day Adventist Church experienced a spiritually enriching and memorable Sabbath as the Bayelsa Conference Children’s Ministries Director, Solomon Baraledei, paid an official working visit to the district.

The visit served as a moment of inspiration, encouragement, and celebration, as members gathered not only to worship but also to recommit themselves to nurturing the spiritual growth of children within the church.

Addressing church leaders, parents, and members, Elder Baraledei passionately emphasized the importance of intentional investment in Children’s Ministries.

He encouraged families and local church officers to take active roles in guiding children spiritually, reminding the congregation that the future strength of the church depends greatly on how well the younger generation is nurtured today.

Particular emphasis was placed on two major spiritual activities:

The Children’s Ministries Week of Prayer, which officially commenced on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

The Children’s Prayer Day, set to climax on Sabbath, May 23, 2026, with a special focus on intercession and spiritual revival among children.

He urged parents and church leaders to ensure that children participate fully throughout the week, creating opportunities for prayer, Bible study, and spiritual mentorship.
Double Celebration as World Adventurer Day is Marked

The atmosphere in the district became even more joyous as the visit coincided with the celebration of World Adventurer Day, turning the Sabbath into a double occasion of thanksgiving and inspiration.

One of the most remarkable moments of the service was the active participation of the children themselves. Young Adventurers, Ayibamiebi Stanley and Lora Mac-Aphebo, ministered powerfully as the preachers of the day.

Their confident and spirit-filled presentations deeply moved the congregation, demonstrating the enormous potential within the Children’s Ministries department when children are properly guided and empowered.

The memorable event concluded with renewed commitment from members of the Yenagoa District to continue building an environment where children can flourish spiritually, mentally, and socially.

Members expressed gratitude for the timely visit and pledged stronger support for programs that equip children to become future leaders and faithful ambassadors of the church.

PASTOR AARON, AN EX-CORPER'S SEED OF FAITH BLOSSOMS IN MRS. EVELYN’S CONVERSION & BAPTISM

As the Spirit-filled news of Mrs Evelyn’s conversion continues to spread across the Bayelsa entity and beyond, many whose Christian influence contributed to her journey are beginning to come to light.

Pastor Aaron shared a touching reflection:

“I once had several discussions with her about the Sabbath during my service days in Bayelsa. At that time, before I got my PPA, I was freely accommodated at the Conference Headquarters.

Whenever I felt bored, I usually visited Aunty Peace’s place, and that was where I met Mrs Evelyn, who happened to be her next-door neighbour.

We talked often, I played with her children and we discussed many thing my church, school, and life generally.

That was when I discovered she was a graduate of Uniport and even studied the same course I did. She was very energetic and hardworking. There was even a day we went fishing together at a pond close to her fence.

She also joined us for a prayer retreat in Aba.

Today, I am happy because God used me to sow a seed that germinated even when I was no longer around. Hallelujah!”

Indeed, this is a reminder that the seeds we scatter for Christ germinate at different times and seasons. Some sprout quickly, while others take years before yielding fruits unto eternal life.

Our duty is to keep sowing faithfully while God gives the increase.

May we never grow weary in witnessing, praying, inviting, encouraging, and sharing the truth. Heaven alone will reveal how many lives were silently touched by the little acts of love and ministry we offered along the way.
