TOPIC: PLAN YOUR LIFE (PRT 3)
TEXT: PROVERBS 28:19 (KJV)

"He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough".

It takes work to move that dream into the category of plans for the future. This requires action and doing some deep research. Make no mistake about it, your dreams requires work. Perhaps this is why so many people find it easier to just dream and not develop a plan for life.

Proverbs 13:11 (Living Bible) says, "Wealth gotten from gambling quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows". Proverbs 14:23 (NKJV) says, "In all labor there is profit, But idle chatter leads only to poverty". (GNB) Says, "Work and you will earn a living; if you sit around talking, you will be poor". (NIV) Says, "All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty".

Anyone can drift away and just take life as it comes. Those who do so will be like a leaf that is totally at the mercy of the currents in a stream. But those who make definite plans in life, are like those who paddles their own canoe. They will not just be at the mercy of the currents of the stream, rather, they have the ability to choose the direction they want to go as they travel through the rivers of life.

Fulfilling your plans will take some work. Proverbs 16:3 (KJV) says, "Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established". This verse reminds us to surrender our efforts to God so He can secure and direct our intentions. Excellent Performance does not only come with exceptional proofs but it comes through in-depth, conscious and adequate planning.

MONDAY 24TH AUGUST, 2026
TOPIC: YOU WILL WIN!
TEXT: 2 CHRONICLES 20:17 (KJV)

"Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you".

Life is not measured by how many battles you've fought and won, but who was by your side when fighting and winning. In 1 Samuel 17:50 (KJV) the bible says, "So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David".

The story of David and Goliath unveils to me deep truth about life. Goliath molested Israel and their God because he believed in his heart and thought within himself that he's so mighty, skillful in war, fearless and bold that he will win. Goliath saw David in the war front, he was astonished with David's war materials. He thought because David had only a stick, that he was easily going to defeat David. (1 Samuel 17:41-44).

Goliath roared in his might but David did not respond to Goliath in fear or doubt. But in faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. And he even claimed the victory in advance. (1 Samuel 17:45-47). When Goliath began to walk towards David, David began to run towards the fight. And when David was ready, he took a stone out of his bag and slug it at Goliath. And as an end result, David defeated and killed Goliath -(1 Samuel 17:48-51).

To win fearlessly, you need a strong and determined heart to conquer. Determination is the ability to make difficult decisions and accomplish God’s goals based on the truths of God’s word, regardless of the resistance that may be encountered. It is the ability to set ourselves toward Godly pursuits, and not allow ourselves to be distracted or discouraged.

Philippians 2:5 says, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus". The mind that was in Christ Jesus was fearless and Bold. Why run away? Let’s face it. Our determination may very well get us a job promotion, growth and other “things.” But our determination won’t keep us somewhere God didn't take us. It won’t preserve the stuff that God didn’t give us. Be determined to walk like Him, talk like Him, act like Him. Be determined to delight yourself in Him and He will give you the desires of your heart.

TOPIC: COURAGE IS THE PRICE
TEXT: JOSHUA 1:9 (KJV)

"Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest".

From studies, I've found out that confident people don't compare themselves to anyone neither do successful people complain. They attack and solve their problems. Wise people don't gossip, they build. Leaders don't make excuses, they make decisions. Disciplined people don't quit when it gets hard, rather they stay undistracted and committed to their goals, pursuit and vision.

Courage is advancing in the midst of dangers. Courage is the choice and ability to face fear, danger, pain, or hard times. It does not mean a person feels no fear. True courage means feeling afraid yet still choosing to act and do what is right.

It is commonly said that, "Coward dies many times before their Death". When you are afraid, your enemies gets boldness but when you are bold, your enemies gets terrified. Philippians 1:28 (GNB) says, "Don't be afraid of your enemies; always be courageous, and this will prove to them that they will lose and that you will win, because it is God who gives you the victory". 1 John 4:4 says, "...Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world..."

We may be zealous in different angles of life, but if you lacks courage, you've lost everything. Courage is not an optional obligation as a believer or individual, it is the most divisive key to standout relevant and fully accomplished.

I once heard a story of someone who once carried out a research of the 'Regrets of Dying People few minutes, hours, weeks to their death'. On their death-beds, most of them says, "On their healthy stay on earth, they have lived a life they were not courageous enough. If they had knew that death will come sooner than expected, they would have risked more, read more, write more, pray more, sow seed more, give more, do

TOPIC: WHY WAITING ON GOD IS GOOD
TEXT: 1 SAMUEL 16:12-13 (KJV)

"And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he. Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah".

No highflyer became a highflyer overnight. No greatness was birthed in one day. Every success has a roadmap that requires energy, persistence, dedication, patience to walkthrough.

David, a friend of God was anointed as king of Israel in his prime age yet Saul had continued to be king for numerous years even after that anointing. Even after Saul’s death, David never became the king of Israel rather Saul’s son Ish-bosheth was made king of Israel. David never became the king of Israel rather, the men of Judah anointed him as king over Judah after Saul died (in 2 Samuel 2:4), where he ruled for seven and a half years (2 Samuel 5:5).

One of the things that we often find most difficult to do is to wait. We really don’t like waiting. Majority of people in our society are right there with me. Our culture is one that’s quickly frustrated by waiting. Everyone is on the fast-lane to get his/her desire met, to get to his or her destination, to become rich, influential and popular. However, despite our ever-increasing aversion to waiting, it’s still necessary to wait for a lot of things in our lives.

When it comes to waiting on God, we often see in his infinite wisdom, God often deems it best to have us wait for various blessings rather than allowing us to experience those blessings immediately. This is because he knows that we learn certain things through waiting that we wouldn’t be able to learn any other way.
