BELIEVE IN GOD’S ACCEPTANCE

No matter where we’re from, we’re never to feel out of place in God’s house. God has adopted us and made it clear to us that we’re accepted and cherished.
It’s important we believe this as it held us in properly opening our hearts and minds to God.
God unquestionably wants us to feel at home with him.
Why not believe?

Remain blessed.

GOD’S POWER IS NOT BY FORCE
Having the idea that God reveals himself to us only in grand and eruptive ways may lead us to miss out on his revelation and manifestation.
God is all powerful, yet he reveals himself to us in soothing and gentle ways more often. We aren’t to rely of forceful expectations in other to listen to God.
Know that the gentle voice of God is more powerful than any other force.
God’s power doesn’t depend on forcefulness, so our obedience and belief shouldn’t depend on it.

Remain blessed.

HOMILY FOR THE 18TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME (YEAR A)

SEEK GODLY SATISFACTION
When our bodies are dehydrated and malnourished, we crave water and good food in those respective moments, because they serve the fundamental needs of our bodies. That’s a priceless satisfaction. Even more so, is the satisfaction God invites us to enjoy with him. A satisfaction that caters to the innermost part of our souls.
And you know what? God’s always willing, with open arms, to grant us this satisfaction if righteousness is what we seek.
God’s never too busy to cater to you. Seek to be satisfied by him.

Remain blessed.

BE COURAGEOUS IN WISDOM

Serving God faithfully requires more than good intentions; it requires the wisdom to recognise what truly matters and the courage to act on that wisdom.
Just as Solomon asked God for wisdom instead of wealth or power, we are reminded that a life devoted to God begins with seeking His guidance above earthly success. God’s path may seem senseless to the world, but it’s his path that’s most sure. Don’t wait for the world to understand before following God wholeheartedly.
Stake it all on God, it’ll all work out.

Remain blessed.

BE PATTERNED ACCRORDING TO GOD’S PATIENCE

One of the most difficult things to uphold as a Christian, as a child of God, is the virtue of Patience, because Patience is one of the most abused virtues. Today, however, God makes us realise that no matter how abused it may seem, we are to remain steadfast in our Patience, and why? because he himself is consistently patient with us and gives us a blueprint of how to live our lives in this world.
We’re called to be more concerned with the growth of others than their condemnation. Evil is to be eradicated, but let’s never forget being good in that process.

Remain blessed.

GOD’S WORD IS NEVER WASTED

Teaching an elephant to fly is an impossible task as it isn’t compatible with flight. Same can be said about teaching a bird to swim. Not compatible, therefore, wasted knowledge.
These analogies are valid in their own right, but using the same to say God’s word isn’t relevant in our lives or compatible with our circumstances is an unfortunate misstep.
God’s promise to us is that His word will never return to Him unfulfilled and we’re to receive it as good soil receives the seeds so as to be fruitful in multiple folds.
His word (seed) is never wasted. BELIEVE.

Remain blessed.

DON’T FORGET TO BE GOD’S CHILD

HOMILY FOR THE 14TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME (YEAR A)

Sometimes, we get so carried away by all the responsibilities before us that we forget we’re God’s children who’ve been called to entrust our burden to Him in a childlike manner.
Jesus assures us that we can be vulnerable with Him.
It’s okay to be tired, but we have to make sure we go to the proper place of rest, Jesus.
There’s no shame in our vulnerability, in our fatigue. Jesus calls us to humbly entrust our burdens to Him.
We call God our Father, let’s not forget we’re His children.

Remain blessed.

BE KIND TO THE CONSECRATED

Jesus tells us to love him above all else, literally.
Nothing or no one should have the final say over our love for Jesus. As a matter of fact, our love for God should make us show unwavering kindness towards those who have been consecrated to Him.
We’re never to see those who have been consecrated to God in service as wasting their potential. This misconception can lead to hopeless pity at best and, at worst, resentment, feeling they have wasted their lives.
Jesus calls us to be kind to them and encourage them, so as to receive the reward only God can give.

Remain blessed.

BE COURAGEOUS FOR DISCOMFORT

Self care is good, in fact it’s great. However, we aren’t to seek preservation and comfort to the extent that we relegate God to the reserves of our lives. At all times, no matter the situation, identifying with God must be front and centre.
We need to have the courage to stand for God, regardless of the persecutions of the world.
Nothing is worth denying God for.

Remain blessed.

HOMILY FOR THE 11TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME (YEAR A)

EXTEND GOD’S INVITATION

As God’s people, his grace is with us and never departs. That’s an exclusive privilege to enjoy.
The thing is, God wants the whole world to enjoy this ‘exclusivity’ and thus, he sends us into the world to invite all, deserving or not, into the fold of the shepherd.
We’re not to choose which crop we harvest, for the whole world is the field; a field of rich harvest in which, few we may be, we’re called to labour.

Remain blessed.
