Reformed Christian greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We pray this circular meets you well.
This is to inform all Pastors, Leaders and Members of CRC-N to join the three (3) days declared by CAN/Head of Church denominations in Nigeria from Friday, 12th June to Sunday, 14th June 2026 as a period of National Mourning, Prayer and Fasting against insecurity in Nigeria, including kidnappings, brutal killings, abductions, terrorist attacks, and the destruction of communities.
Furthermore, CAN/Head of Church denominations in Nigeria have designated Sunday, 14th June 2026 as BLACK SUNDAY across churches in Nigeria in honour of victims of violence and in solidarity with families affected by insecurity.
Accordingly, all Church members are encouraged to appear in black attire on the BLACK SUNDAY as a symbol of mourning and unity.
After Church service on Sunday, members are encouraged to gather peacefully and issue statements or press releases addressing insecurity concerns and share them through media and social media platforms as appropriate.
Note: Pastors are requested to make serious mobilization efforts within their various congregations to ensure full participation.
Thank you for your cooperation and commitment.
