to an architect, building is more than assembly of concrete, wood or steel. Its an embodiment of structure with a soul, as a result every good architecture should be able to communicate, inspire, influence either positive or negative.
To archieve these, science, art and engineering must coexist thus .making an architect a jack of all trades and a master of all.
If not, his dreams and imagination of a building becomes 'just another building around'. That's why some architect majors in art aspect (zaha hadid); some in structures(Norman foster).some lighting, interiors, etc
It is noteworthy that the salient contributions of other professionals are appreciated, all to the success of excellence
