Theme of the Year: The Tree and Its Fruit (Luke 6:43–44)

*Topic* : Meditation Breeds Hope
Text: Lamentations 3:19–23

Writing
The book of Lamentations was written during a time of deep sorrow and suffering. Yet, in the midst of grief, the prophet found hope by turning his thoughts to God's faithfulness.

He declared, "This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope." Hope was restored because he chose to meditate on God's unfailing love and abundant mercy.

Meditation on God's Word shifts our focus from our problems to His promises. When we remember His faithfulness in the past, we gain confidence that He will remain faithful today and tomorrow. God's mercies are new every morning, and His compassion never fails.

Like a healthy tree that bears good fruit, a believer who continually reflects on God's Word will produce the fruit of hope even in difficult times. Let your heart dwell on God's promises, and allow His truth to strengthen your faith each day.

*Prayer* :
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unfailing love and new mercies every morning. Help me to meditate on Your Word and remember Your faithfulness in every season. Fill my heart with hope that never fails, and let my life bear the fruit of confident trust in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

*Memory Verse:*
"This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. Through the LORD'S mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness."
Lamentations 3:21–23 (NKJV)

Theme of the Year: The Tree and Its Fruit (Luke 6:43–44)

Topic: *Meditation Breeds Peace*

Text: Isaiah 26:3
"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You."

Writing
True peace is found in a heart that continually meditates on God's Word. The world is full of distractions, fear, and uncertainty, but those who keep their minds fixed on the Lord experience His perfect peace.

Biblical meditation means reflecting on God's promises, allowing His truth to shape our thoughts, attitudes, and decisions.

Just as a healthy tree produces good fruit, a heart rooted in God's Word produces the fruit of peace. When we meditate on Scripture daily, worry gives way to trust, confusion is replaced with wisdom, and anxiety is overcome by God's presence.

Today, choose to fill your mind with God's Word rather than the troubles of life. As you trust Him and meditate on His promises, His peace will guard your heart and mind.

*Prayer* :
Heavenly Father, help me to keep my mind fixed on You. Teach me to meditate on Your Word every day so that my life will bear the fruit of peace. Let Your perfect peace rule my heart and strengthen my trust in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

*Memory Verse:*
Isaiah 26:3
"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You."

May God help you bear the fruit of peace as you meditate on His Word each day. Amen.

A Prayer of a Godly Woman in a Godless Nation
Text: 1 Samuel 1:19–27

*Introduction*
We live in a world where many people have turned away from God. Yet, God still raises faithful men and women whose prayers bring change. Hannah was one such woman. Though she lived in a spiritually declining nation, she remained devoted to God. Her prayers led to the birth of Samuel, who became a prophet and helped bring spiritual renewal to Israel.

1. A Godly Woman Seeks God in Prayer
Text: 1 Samuel 1:19–20
Hannah trusted God instead of giving up.
She poured out her heart before the Lord.
God heard and answered her prayer.
Lesson: No matter how dark the nation becomes, a godly woman continues to seek God in prayer.

2. A Godly Woman Keeps Her Promises to God
Text: 1 Samuel 1:21–28
Hannah fulfilled the vow she had made.
She dedicated Samuel to God's service.
She honored God above her personal desires.
Lesson: Godly women are faithful to their commitments and place God's will first.

3. A Godly Woman Raises the Next Generation for God
Hannah understood that children are a gift from God.
She gave Samuel back to the Lord.
Samuel grew up to become a great prophet and leader.
Lesson: A praying mother can influence a family, a church, and even a nation.

4. God Uses the Prayers of the Faithful to Transform a Nation
Israel was experiencing spiritual decline.
Through Hannah's prayer and Samuel's ministry, God brought renewal.
One person's faithful prayer can have a lasting impact.

*Lesson* :
God is still looking for women who will stand in prayer for their homes, churches, and nations.
The Story of Margaret Gowans
Margaret Gowans was a Scottish missionary who came to Nigeria with great faith and compassion. She devoted her life to serving Christ through education, healthcare, and evangelism, especially among women and children. Despite many hardships and challenges, she remained committed to prayer and service. Her life demonstrates that one godly woman, empowered by prayer and obedience, can influence generations and help transform communities for Christ.

*Conclusion*
Hannah teaches us that God hears the prayers of the faithful. In a godless nation, God is calling women to stand in the gap through prayer, faithfulness, and godly influence. As Hannah prayed and Margaret Gowans served, may every Christian woman become a vessel through whom God brings hope and revival.

*Key Verse: "*
For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him."
*1 Samuel 1:27*

Topic: Building Up the Body of Christ Through Service

Text: 1 Peter 4:10–11

Key Verse:
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms."
1 Peter 4:10

*Reflection* :
God has entrusted every believer with spiritual gifts, talents, and opportunities to serve. These gifts are not meant for personal gain but for the benefit of the entire body of Christ. When we faithfully serve one another, the church is strengthened, encouraged, and united.

Whether our service is through teaching, encouraging, praying, giving, leading, or showing kindness, every act done in God's strength brings glory to Him. No gift is too small, and no service is insignificant when it is offered with a willing heart.

As faithful stewards of God's grace, we are called to serve humbly, depend on God's strength, and seek His glory in everything we do. Through our service, Christ is revealed, believers are edified, and the gospel is advanced.

*Lessons to Learn:*

Every believer has a God-given gift for service.

Our gifts are to be used for the benefit of others.

We should serve in God's strength, not our own.

Faithful service builds up the body of Christ and glorifies God.

*Prayer* :
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gifts and abilities You have given me. Help me to use them faithfully to serve others and strengthen Your church. Fill me with humility, love, and Your power so that everything I do will bring glory to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Topic: Equipped for Service
Text: Ephesians 4:11–13

Key Verse:
"To equip His people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up." β€” Ephesians 4:12

Reflection:
God has given different gifts and ministries to His church, including apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. These gifts are not for personal recognition but to equip believers for effective service. Every Christian has a role to play in building up the body of Christ.

Being equipped for service means growing in God's Word, developing spiritual maturity, and faithfully using the gifts God has entrusted to us. As we serve one another in love, the church becomes stronger, more united, and more effective in fulfilling Christ's mission.

God does not call us to remain spectators. He calls us to be active servants, using our time, talents, and resources for His glory. When we serve faithfully, we help others grow in their faith and bring honor to Christ.

Lessons to Learn:

God equips every believer for meaningful service.

Spiritual gifts are given to strengthen the church, not to promote ourselves.

Christian maturity is shown through faithful service and unity.

Every believer has a responsibility in God's kingdom.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for calling me into Your service. Equip me through Your Word and by Your Spirit to serve faithfully with the gifts You have given me. Help me to build up others, promote unity in the church, and bring glory to Your name through my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Topic: Admonishing One Another
Text: Colossians 3:15–16

Key Verse:
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another..." β€” Colossians 3:16 (NKJV)

Reflection:
As believers, we are called to help one another grow in Christ. Admonishing one another is not about criticizing or condemning others, but lovingly encouraging, correcting, and guiding one another according to God's Word. When the Word of Christ fills our hearts, our conversations become a source of wisdom, encouragement, and spiritual growth.

A healthy Christian fellowship is built on mutual care. We should be willing to speak the truth in love, encourage the weak, restore those who have fallen, and strengthen one another in faith. Our words should bring grace, peace, and hope, reflecting the love of Christ.

When God's Word dwells richly in us, we become instruments of blessing to others, helping them remain steadfast in their walk with the Lord.

Lessons to Learn:

Let God's Word guide your speech and actions.

Encourage and correct others with love and humility.

Build up fellow believers instead of tearing them down.

Live in peace and thankfulness as members of Christ's body.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, let Your Word dwell richly in my heart. Help me to encourage, teach, and lovingly admonish others according to Your truth. May my words bring peace, hope, and spiritual growth to those around me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Theme of the Year:
"The Tree and Its Fruit" (Luke 6:43–44)

Thought for the Day:
A believer whose heart is filled with God's Word will use their words to build others up and glorify Christ.
