Topic: *WE ARE SECURED IN THE BELOVED*
*Scripture: Ephesians 1:5-6*

_"Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved" (KJV)_

Our security in Christ is anchored on a well mapped out program,
In verse 4 we are told that God chose us in Christ, in verse 5 we are told that God predestined us to adoption as sons through Christ Jesus, and in verse 6 we are told that God freely bestowed His grace on us in the Beloved (Christ). In Christ we are in the Beloved; We are mixed with Christ and God in such a way that we become one with him. Anything or anybody that cannot touch God, cannot touch you, therefore we are secured. Our security rests on our relationship with Christ. We have the life of God in us and are accepted into the beloved by grace, and by what God is doing, not necessarily by what we do or do not do. A brief history was told about the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge in California U.S.A that I will like to refer to; In 1933 during the initial phase of construction, no safety device was used, twenty five men fell and died. In the last part of the construction, they put a large net worth about 100,000 Dollars as at that time, so that the workers will be safe. Still many workers fell, but held by the net. They also noticed that 25% more work was done because of the assurance of safety. Security is our nearness to God, not our distance from him. Grace is not just to catch us when we fall, but to prevent us from falling. Stop focusing on the fall, and start focusing on the assurance of the net that can keep you from falling. The availability of grace doesn't mean there will be no fall, but the assurance of our security in the beloved will keep us from falling. In case you fall, don't let a bridge in fellowship affect your relationship with God; In Christ, we have redemption through the blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace (verse 7). We are secured in his hand. Jesus said "I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand, my father, which gave them me, is greater than all: and no man is able to pluck them out of my father's hand".(John 10:28-29). You are secured in the beloved, you are family, and God is on the look out for you. Anybody or anything that touches you touches God. Your life is hidden with Christ in God. That's the order of the beloved.

Topic: *WE HAVE ALL SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS*
*Scripture: Ephesians 1:3*

_"Blessed be God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ" (KJV)_

Jesus Christ is the embodiment of all the blessings of God, if you have him, you have everything. God has given us all sufficiency in Christ. Paul didn't say God will bless us or he is going to bless us, but rather, he has blessed us. It is a done deal! You are blessed! God has not given us "a" blessing, but "all" blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. That means all that there is to be gotten in heavenly places have been packaged inside of Christ Jesus, so when you are in him, you are in all blessings.
One day, Three Pastors were discussing about life, one asked "why are a lot of Christians poor? One of them answered, " because people measure their blessings by their money or property ". Stop reducing what you carry and who you are. The blessing of God is beyond material things. Sufficiency is found not in having everything you want, but in not wanting everything. When you have nothing left but God, you become aware that he is enough. The man in Christ is a blessed man. You are not going to be blessed, you are already blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. Activate the blessings and be conscious of what you already have in Christ.
A blessed man cannot be cursed. The blessing makes you exempted from every form of curses. The man in Christ is blessed and will always be blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. You are blessed.

*Daily Assignment*
1. Speak blessings upon your life, family and business
2. Be a Blesser today. Share the blessings of God in your life with someone.

Topic: *WE ARE VALUABLE*
*Scripture: Ephesians 1:1*

_"Paul an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus" (KJV)_

The address of the believer is "in Christ". The believer in Christ is not a refurbished Adam, but a new creature (2 Cor. 5:17).
As Paul opens his letter to the Church at Ephesus, he addresses it to the "saints" which are at Ephesus and to the faithfuls in Christ. "Saints " comes from the Greek word "Hagios", which literally means " Holy". To be a saint is to be the holy one. That's who we are in Christ. In Christ we are holy and valuable. God loved you so much that he gave his son in exchange for you, if you were not worth it, it would have been a bad deal and investment. From God's perspective, we are saints, not because of who men say we are, but because of what Christ did for us. The cross was an object of scorn and shame, but it is the victory and glory of the believer. It was the processing factory and we are the finished product. You may have been beaten, pounced, attacked, messed up, but your value and worth remains the same in Christ. Paul says the faithfuls in Christ are saints! Never mistake brokenness as worthlessness. God doesn't like it when you tell him you are worthless and useless after all he did for you. You are valuable. Do you know your worth in Christ?

*Further Reading*:
Ephesians 1:1-6, 2 Cor. 5:17-21

*Spirit filled Prayers*: Lord, help me to see myself the way you see me. Let the light of your love flood my heart.

*Daily Confessions*
I am valuable. I know whose I am, therefore I know I am. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I am worth it, I am valuable in Jesus name.

*Daily Assignment*
1. Walk in the realities of the finished works of Christ, as you trust God for the finishing works of Christ

2. Look into the mirror and tell yourself you are valuable and useful to God and man.

Topic: *VISA FOR ADVANCEMENT*
*Scripture: Deuteronomy 1:6-7*

_"The Lord our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount; Turn you and take your journey.... " (KJV)_

A visa is an endorsement or empowerment in a passport or similar document, signifying that the document is in order and permitting its bearer to travel into or through the country of the government issuing it. To advance is to proceed or carry on, especially after stopping. God wants you to proceed and excel, your advancement is a commandment not a suggestion. The Israelites spent 40 years on a journey that should have lasted 11 days. God had to command Moses to tell them to advance. It wasn't the distance that stood between them and the promise land, it was the condition of their hearts. One major requirement for advancement is that your mind must be bigger than where you are, and your eyes must be able to see beyond where you are. Don't prolong your stay in a level when God has granted you visa to proceed to the next level. Your attitude in your current level can also determine whether you will advance to the next level or not, you can delay yourself by yourself. The Children of Israel became very comfortable with where they were, that they forgot where they were going to. Advancement requires a fight. The fact that God has said it does not mean you will go and relax. There are forces, kings, situations, circumstances, territorial powers that need to be dethroned for you to be enthroned. You need to enforce your authority; a problem you cannot confront you cannot change. A challenge you are comfortable with you cannot overcome. Advancement is leaving your comfort zone. When you get use to a place, level, or season, you think that is the best you can get, when God is saying "you have stayed in this mount for too long, turn and take a journey". The "good" is not good enough for you, you deserve the best. Dare for more; advance in your spiritual life, career, relationships, dreams and visions. Take a new turn, breakout, develop yourself, make that move and yearn for more. Use the visa God has given you. How hungry are you for the next level?

*Further Reading*:
Deuteronomy 1: 1-8

*Spirit filled Prayers*:
Lord I destroy every comfort zone in my life making me not to advance in Jesus name. I take delivery of instructions for advancement in Jesus name.

*Daily Confessions*
I refuse to be stagnated! The "good" is not good enough for me, I deserve the "best". I am fired up to break limits. I am not comfortable with comfort zones, I have no better yesterday in Jesus name.

*Daily Assignment*

1. Map out a picture of where you are going to and what you want to achieve with the authority God has given you.

2. Separate yourself from environments and relationships that is not making you make progress in life and the things of God.

Topic: *HOW DO YOU REACT TO REBUKE?*
*Scriptures: Genesis 4:1*

_" And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord" (KJV)_

*Hebrews 12:5*
_And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto Children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him_

Genesis 4:1 goes a long way to teach us how to react when we are rebuked by God or by others genuinely. In Chapter 3 of Genesis, we see God rebuking Adam and Eve, cursed the ground for Adam's sake, punished Eve with Labour pains and desire for her husband, and sent them out of the Garden of Eden; yet in Genesis 4:1 when they gave birth to their first child, the name they gave him is very instructive. They called him CAIN, meaning "God has given me a man", or " gotten a man from God." It shows they were not angry with God. From an emotional point of view, God should be the least person or being that will come to their minds, but they knew he wanted the best for them, and in honour to God, they returned the thanks to him regardless of the fact that they have been rebuked by him.
Hebrews 12:5 tells us that we should not faint when God rebukes us, and verse 8 tells us that if we are not rebuked, then we are bastards and not sons. How do you react when you are rebuked? Do you see the big picture? or you scatter the picture by your reaction. Only those who love you will correct you from their hearts and with love. God's instructions, and good instructions are not to punish you but to Polish you. It may look like punishment initially, but if you are patient and handle it with maturity, you will be thankful at the end, and say like Adam and Eve, "God has give me" or "I have gotten". When you are rebuked for the right reasons by your parents, spouse, Pastor, colleagues, superiors, and others who love you and want the best for you, handle it with maturity. Hebrews 12:11 says, " Now no chastening for the present seems to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness, to them which are exercised thereby. With the right attitude you can receive a "Cain" from the "Kain". Can you see the big picture?

*Further Reading*:
Hebrews 12: 5-11

*Spirit filled Prayers*:
Lord help me to see the big picture when I am rebuked genuinely in Jesus name.

*Daily Confessions*
I do not destroy the gains of the future because of the pains of the now. I harvest peaceable fruits of righteousness from positive rebukes in Jesus name.

*Daily Assignment*:
1. Look at rebuke from a positive angle. See the big picture today.
2. Respond with love and maturity to every genuine rebuke you will come across today and beyond
3. Appreciate those who have rebuked you genuinely by letting them know you now see the big picture.

*SPIRITUAL SENSITIVITY (2)*

Luke 2: 44-45

_But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance. And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him." (KJV)_

4. Spiritual sensitivity is being conscious of God's agenda.
The agenda of Jesus was to tarry in Jerusalem while the agenda of the parents was to go back to Nazareth. Is your agenda supporting God's agenda, or fighting against God's agenda?
Sometimes we are not sensitive to know that our agenda and actions are the opposite of God's agenda for our lives. We want to go to "Nazareth" when God wants us to tarry in "Jerusalem".The fact that it is "good" and the normal thing to do, does not make it God's will for you. Not all good things are God's will for your life, and sensitivity makes all the difference. In Genesis 26, there was a famine in the land, and Isaac wanted to go to Egypt, for some obvious reasons; his father Abraham went to Egypt when he experienced similar challenge in his time; Egypt also looked good and was the economic powerhouse at that time, it made common sense to go to Egypt. However, God instructed him not to go, he sowed in that same land, he became prosperous and became very great. Is your agenda in line with God's agenda for your life? Don't go to Nazareth when you are suppose to be in Jerusalem.

5. Spiritual sensitivity is knowing where and when to find or encounter God. In looking for Jesus his parents went to their kinfolks and acquaintance, because that is the normal place they have calculated he will be, but he was not there! He was in the temple, they didn't know that part. Never think that you know all there is to know about the things of God. The more you know God, the more he makes you know that you know nothing about him. Sometimes we are looking for a divine encounter in wrong places. We also assume we know the move of God so well that we miss out. We know the order of service on a Sunday morning so well that we miss out as a result of over familiarity. Your moment of encounter may not be in the main service but during a small meeting of "where two or three people are gathered". The encounter you desire may not be in the palace, but in a place you least expected. Be sensitive.

6. Spiritual sensitivity is being humble enough to repent, it is knowing when to make a U-turn.
You must be sensitive enough to know when your actions will not produce the desired result. You must be willing to repent no matter how long or deep you have gone in the wrong direction. When Mary and Joseph found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem seeking him. Notice that it took a day's journey to realize he was not with them, but three days journey to go and look for him. Repenting is not easy but it humbles you, the repercussion of lack of sensitivity is bigger than the duration of the insensitivity itself. You must be humble to do the right thing at all cost, irrespective of how long you have been doing the wrong things. Be sensitive.

*FURTHER READING:* Luke 2:43-52, Genesis 26:1-13

*SPIRIT FILLED PRAYERS:*
Lord help me to be sensitive to your agenda for my life. May I not miss my moment of encounter in Jesus name.

*DAILY CONFESSION:* I refuse to go the opposite of God's will for my life. I refuse to allow over familiarity kill my spiritual sensitivity in the name of Jesus.

*DAILY ASSIGNMENT:*
1. By the leading of the Spirit note areas of your life where you need to repent, and amend your ways.
2. From the list you compiled yesterday, learn the act of hearing from God before you act.
