The 'august' visitation of the Holy Ghost to the Assembly is in full swing—and a culmination of joy preponderant and unrestrained was inevitable at the DEACONS' ASSEMBLY GENERAL MEETING for the month of August.

Such was the intensity and profundity of our Praise offering—that a literal deluge of the rain of HIS presence ensued.
And as Scripture asserts, '...and where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is liberty.'

Chains were broken, overturns enforced, and the seeds of Jacob received empowerment to possess their redemptive inheritance!

As a consequence, a BREAKTHROUGH on the siege mounted by PEACE GROUP on the Group of the Month Awards was recorded.
Salute to the champions of the month—BREAKTHROUGH GROUP!

Tell you what—the tastiest Jollof rice serving I have had since I joined the Assembly was on offer—as a compliment to the Holy Ghost-inspired conviviality on display.
Kudos to the celebrants in the month of August!

Theirs was a dance-entry as IMPERIOUS as the meal serving.

And along came the month of June—bringing with it grandiose moments to herald the DEACONS' ASSEMBLY GENERAL MEETING.
Known for its penchant for exhilarating worship and praise sessions—the ASSEMBLY did not disappoint in this regard—epitomized by the dexterity of Deacon George's eclectic dance steps and the exuberant cheer that greeted every song ministration.

Of course—you can rest assured that yours truly was in the thick of the action...

Then it was time for accolades...blame no one for thinking that there's such an accolade as the PEACE AWARDS—because the Group of the Month Awards have in recent times, been monopolized by PEACE GROUP. Well, they pulled it off again—congratulations y'all!

To assuage the feelings of the groups that missed out on the award—a tasty platter was served by the celebrants of the month of June.
Theirs was an entry grandiose in every sense, as the pair of Deaconesses Sarah Umukoro and Elizabeth Fadipe, apparelled in regal couture, sought to out-dance Dcn. Benedict Sekegor (Church Board Chairman)—who was having none of it—what with his Gen Z-meets-Gen Alpha inspired steps.
Yours truly was gobsmacked!

Just when I thought the excitement had reached a crescendo—the State Pastor made an appearance: And with ethereal gusto—uttered timeless truths gleaned from the infallible pages of Scripture—leaving us all enthralled.

Hmmm... I gotta go take territories for Christ—for this Gospel must be preached to the uttermost ends of the earth.

The magnificent grandeur of their dance entry was a spectacle for the ages—as were their star-spangled landmark celebrants:
Deaconess Nikky Onogoro, celebrating her ascension to the 6th floor—and rather perplexingly, Deacon Emma Umukoro (BOARD SECRETARY), who on paper, just touched down on the 5th floor.
Hmmm... Can a man who in 1932, conducted my covenant naming, and was a classmate of Lord Lugard, turn '50' in 2026?

Tell you what—there most definitely will be no Gregorian calendar without APRIL in the mix!
And APRIL—in typical spectacular fashion—heralded the DEACONS' ASSEMBLY GENERAL MEETING with an air as convivial as it was poignant—a beautiful paradox—if you will.

The profundity and absoluteness of the Word dispensed—left no one in doubt as to the intent and purpose of the State Pastor's visit—to rerail derailed and flailing marriages...
Without doubt— testimonies are in the works!

Conviviality without commensality is an uncomfortable mix—hence the ASSEMBLY was deluged with an astonishing exotic assortment of tasty delights.
Hmmm...the April-borns didn't come to play.

PEACE GROUP 'piecesed' the Group of the Month awards—by clinching this accolade for the 3rd consecutive time (5 wins in all), and in the process, securing the plaque for keeps.

However, it begs the question, 'Why did FAVOUR group not get to keep the plaque for keeps—when we went on a yet-to-be-matched run of five(5) consecutive wins (8 wins in all)?'

I'll go to COURT‼️

Congratulations to PEACE group, nonetheless, for a truly remarkable run.

Yet again the DEACONS' ASSEMBLY monthly general meeting was a spectacle of ethereal proportions—stemming from the soul-searching ambience of the more-sure WORD—delivered with revelational assuredness by none other than the enigmatic wife of the State Pastor—Dcns. Olorunkemi Shiyabande Adekunle.

There was experiential and dexterous insight into the institution of marriage—honed by the unimpeachable truth of the WORD—as she shared profound perceptions on EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION IN MARRIAGE.

Well, I did the best I could to capture message highlights—but should you need a more comprehensive message summary—by all means, reach out to our affable immediate past 'Chairmo', Dcn. Collins Ozuor—he spared no detail in his notes.

The Group of the Month award presentation took a rather unusual turn—for no sooner was PEACE GROUP declared recipient of the award than the lights went off.
Was this coincidence or protestation?
Dcn. C.Y Omeili, we need answers.

And then, they MARCHED straight through... For the LORD had beat down limiting walls, and availed them yet another year to their years—so the celebrants of MARCH came a-singing and a-dancing, with plenty to eat and drink—and the ASSEMBLY echoed their gratitude to the LORD.

Amid the celebration, special acknowledgement (along with a gift pack) was given by the BOARD—through the grammatically astute Dcns. Adesuwa Emukowhate—to Dcn. Anuge Sylvanus on the occasion of his 30th wedding anniversary.

Up stepped the debonair, Dcn. Olajide Abiodun, who served up a clinic in gratitude to the LORD, as he hit the 6th floor.

My pen posits that his was a virtuoso dance performance to rival any. However, the lens of my camera suggests otherwise—from its vantage point, it would seem a couple of deaconesses did more of the dancing oh😜
