Yet again, we returned with gratitude as an ASSEMBLY—unbroken, unbowed and unashamed—a people marvellously helped and deluged with the latter rain of the King of Glory!
Evidenced by a preponderance of doubt-confounding testimonies.

Here's my exposition on a crucial determining factor of success and failure in any endeavour—the mindset!

The DEACONS' ASSEMBLY MONTHLY GENERAL MEETING—as always—sizzled!

There was the Word—spoken with ethereal gusto and conviction!

Then came DABAC—brimming with cerebral profundity—on a mission to inspire the rise of Kingdom-persuaded critical thinkers—and to sound the death-knell of failure—in business and career endeavours.

And a change of guard ensued—not as defined in the lexicon of the Church—but in the spectacle of the Group of the Month!
Mercy found MERCY GROUP—as they emerged the Group of the Month—breaking the winning streak of the previous holders—you know, right?

Along came the celebrants in the month of August—
with a masterclass in praising-the-LORD-in-the-dance!
Heaven must have been enthralled at the energetic magnificence of Dcns. Columbus' steps.

And in a few...we were done!
All that spectacle—and in a few, we were done?
Thanks to the BOARD—for its astute time management.

Gotta run—learning to be astute with my time!

The DEACONS' ASSEMBLY MONTHLY GENERAL MEETING for the month of July—as always—served up a rich platter of exuberant cheer—what with the ecclesiastic banters and convivial atmosphere created by the convergence of Heaven's finest stewards.
And of course, you know what to expect when the people of God gather—the redolent and irrepressible presence of YAHWEH ELOHIM most definitely!
The same Presence that forbade the death of the three Hebrew boys by incineration—that same Presence that inspires liberty and fullness of joy...consider 2 Corinthians 3:17 | Psalms 16:11
Little wonder, then, that the GENERAL ASSEMBLY meetings always inspire profuse joy and liberty of spirit.

Nonetheless, yours sincerely was missing in action for the most part—stemming from some rather avoidable circumstances though🤣
Regardless, I managed these sneak peeks for your viewing delight...

I honestly have lost count of the number of times my group—FAVOUR GROUP—has emerged as the _Group of the Month. Stand up for the champions!

When it rains—it pours...as the saying goes.
The heavy downpour notwithstanding...
The birthday celebrants for the month of July—made HAY while it RAINED!
There was dancing and thanksgiving aplenty—amidst prophetic blessings and feasting!
Hmmm...the rain was a poor party-pooper🤣

Concerningly, though, Deacons Ajayi and Richard were officially acclaimed by the Assembly, to have hit the golden jubilee milestone—to much pomp and cheer.
However, last time I checked, all three of us, celebrated our 70th last year🤣
Dcn. Ajayi, we need clarity oh🥺

Amidst all of the banter—there was SHE—seated with graceful poise and poignant spiritual authority—taking it all in, and perhaps readying notes, for such a time when she would bless us with the timeless Truth of the Word...

Delighted to have been part of the spectacular ambushment that pleasantly gobsmacked Dcns. Abimbola Erivona—Deacons' Board Chairman bar none!

Codenamed: OPERATION FLABBERGAST!
This operation called for stealth, athleticism, precision, and effervescence—so if you weren’t part of this sting operation, you had best hit the gym!🤣

For context, Dcns. Anne Egbeyan’s charcoal-black complexion offered perfect camouflage in the dark and shadowy operational staging ground (Deacons' Board Office—of course, we turned off the lights)—she was the ideal choice for such an operation as CONCEALMENT and AMBUSHMENT.

Dcn. Emma Umukoro (Deacons' Board Secretary) took operational command of this covert mission— _hiding in the refrigerator_ to avoid detection, until he nearly froze! 😅
It took the intervention of Dcn. Stanley Ajomah (Vice-Chairman of the Deacons' Board) and the rest of the team to convince him that the operation wasn't that serious—after all, it was intended as a SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY!
Abeg o! Pun intended—na play I dey o!

Special thanks to the members of the Deacons' Board, Service Group leaders, Dcn. Collins Ozuor (immediate past Board Chairman), Dcn. Felix Aruwa, and the co-celebrant, Pst. Erivona—who metaphorically shared his plans for our CHAIRMAN going forward, with a sparkle in his eyes 🥹

The drumroll hit a frenzied pitch as FAVOUR GROUP proved once again, its INDOMITABLE mettle—emerging, for a history-making 9th time (2024 till date), as Group of the Month!

There aren't enough superlatives out there to qualify this feat—glad to be in the ranks of this phenomenal group.
