DELIVERED FROM IDOL WORSHIP AND ESTABLISHED IN THE TRUTH OF CHRIST:

Our sister, Akogun Priscilla, return all the glory, honor, and praise to Almighty God for rescuing her from idol worship, delivering her from a life of confusion, and establishing her in the knowledge of His truth.

She testified that her journey into idol worship began during one of the most difficult seasons of her life. Her marriage became filled with frustration and hardship, leaving her emotionally broken and heavily burdened by debt. At that time, she was serving as a pastor in one of Nigeria's well-known churches.

As the pressure increased, her life gradually fell into disorder. She testified that she began behaving in ways that caused people to believe she had lost her right senses. Some who observed her concluded that the power operating in her was not the power of God but that of idols.

Overwhelmed by her circumstances and desperate for a solution, she turned to the idols of her village and dedicated herself to them, hoping they would bring peace and deliverance. Sadly, instead of finding relief, her situation grew worse. Her marriage eventually collapsed, forcing her to leave with her children.

Determined to provide for her family, she began operating a commercial tricycle (Keke). During this difficult period, many people encouraged her to serve the water spirit. Initially, she refused. However, after another man expressed interest in marrying her, he introduced her to the Igbe tradition, and she eventually became involved in it.

She later returned to her village with the intention of dedicating herself fully to the water spirit, but her brothers strongly opposed her and refused to allow her to continue in idol worship. Feeling rejected and believing they did not want her progress, she became offended, distanced herself from them, and eventually established an Igbe altar of her own.

Despite all this, she continued preaching about Jesus Christ. Looking back, she realized that she was living a double life—trying to serve Christ while remaining attached to idols. As a result, she had no peace because she was spiritually divided and confused.

Yet, in the midst of her confusion, there remained a sincere cry in her heart. She constantly prayed, saying, "Lord, if I am truly Your daughter, please rescue me from all these things."

In His mercy, God answered her prayer.

One day, a sister from Jesus Christ Temple Ministry visited her and requested an opportunity to share the Word of God with her. As the sister ministered, every word pierced her heart, bringing deep conviction. She eagerly asked for the name of the church and soon visited Jesus Christ Temple Ministry.

Through the preaching of God's Word, she came to the knowledge of the truth, wholeheartedly surrendered her life to the Lord Jesus Christ, and renounced every form of idol worship. Every idol and object associated with her former life was destroyed, marking a complete separation from her past.

Today, she stands as a living testimony of God's saving grace. The Lord delivered her from deception, brought her out of darkness into His marvelous light, and gave her a new beginning.

She has come to return all the glory, honor, and praise to Almighty God for His mercy, faithfulness, and unfailing love.

She lovingly encourages everyone who may be passing through trials, disappointments, or difficult seasons not to lose hope or seek solutions outside the will of God.

Reflecting on her own journey, she said:

"No matter the problem you are passing through, wait on the Lord. It was my impatience that led me into idol worship and a life of confusion. But when I turned back to God, He rescued me, restored me, and showed me the right way."

She therefore urges everyone to remain steadfast in prayer, trust God's perfect timing, and patiently wait upon Him. No matter how impossible a situation may seem, God's answer is always better than any shortcut. Those who wait upon the Lord will never be put to shame.

Conclusion
To those who say there is no God, the Lord asks:

"Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Where were you when I set the boundaries of the sea and established its limits? Where were you when the gates of death were formed?"

(Job 38:4–11)
The message concluded with a call for believers to understand that the Church is not merely a physical gathering but a spiritual event of faith towards God, requiring reverence, obedience, and a sincere walk with the Holy Spirit.
