The Church I See.
Christian Community Centre is a City and an End time movement to the Whole world, Commission By God to his Son Apostle Godwin Omage to Preach the uncompromised true word of Salvation, Faith in God, Love for People and Hope on Christ Returns.
The Vision I caught in the realms was a need for more disciples to be trained fearlessly for the End time harvest. Here came the Vision in which our institution (Church) will be built on.
OUR VISION; making Disciples for the Kingdom Mandates.
Mattew 28 vs 18-20; And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
OUR MISSION; Introducing People to the REAL JESUS.
Lots of people know about Jesus in our part of the world. Many would tell you they love Jesus. They grew up in church and cry every Easter. They have Bibles in their homes. Scriptures are hanging on their walls. Jesus seems to be a big part of their lives. He’s just not the center. Their lives are not that much different than everyone else’s.
What if more is possible? What if Jesus is bigger than you think He is? Better than you think He is? More loving than you think He is? More gracious than you think He is? What if there's a joy and a peace available to you that you dare not imagine?
Our mission at Christian Community Centre is to introduce people to the real Jesus. The real Jesus is so much more than a consultant offering you a better life. He is so much more than a hero to admire or a teacher to emulate. Jesus is the very power that created the Universe. He is the center of all things and the One for whom all things exist.
OUR MOTTO: ONE WAY JESUS, ONE CAUSE EVANGELISM.
The Headquarters and training center is in Iuleha Owan west Local government of Edo state Nigeria. Were God Promised me (Godwin Omage) a city outside this world were people of different race and color will come and surrender to the authority of our lord Jesus Christ, outworking a unified Purpose. God told me it's the “CITY FOR THE POSSIBILITARIAN”
Now, The Church I see
1. The church that I see is a global Kingdom House, an extension of God's kingdom to earth. We have a global family: One house with many rooms, working out same purpose (unified vision) Genesis 28:14
2. I see a church that’s Apostolic in calling (Acts 5vs 12-16) and visionary in nature (Act 2vs 17); committed to boldly impacting millions for Christ in significant cities and communities nations (Luke 9vs6) throughout the earth with the greatest of all causes – the Cause of our Lord Jesus Christ. Acts 5vs 15
3. We are a church that champions and encourage other local churches everywhere; pointing them to be that entire God has called them to be. We refuse to be content with the triumphs of the past, but we constantly looking towards the future filled with visions that inspires and influences many lives. Philippians 3vs 14
4. I see a church that is positioned in the heart of culture, in great diverse urban centers, I can see buildings that struggle to contain the increase of all that God is doing; occupying land and places that are miraculous in provision and impossible to ignore.
5. The Christian Community Centre is an institution that is big enough to dream on a global scale, yet personal enough for every ONE to find their place. Our church beckons ‘WELCOME HOME’ to everyone that walks through the doors. Ezek. 40vs 2 and Rev. 21vs2
6. The church that I see is a worshipping church whose songs reflect such a passion for Christ that others sense His magnificence and power. A distinct sound that emanates from a healthy church, contagious in spirit – creating music that resounds from villages and tribes to great cities and nations. Revelation 15vs 1-7
7. I see a church that is constantly innovative: A church that leads the communication of a timeless message through media, film, and technology. A church with a message beamed to people around the globe through their television screens, bringing JESUS into homes, palaces and prisons alike. Philippians 1vs 18
8. I see a church with a world-class college that raises, equips, and empowers generations of young, anointed leaders from across the globe. Graduates who serve God in all walks of life, released to salt the earth with dynamic ministries and churches throughout the continents of the world. Matthew 5vs14-16
9. We are graced with layers of ‘once-in-a-generation’ kind of leaders – who are naturally gifted, spiritually potent and genuinely humble. Leaders who will pay the price and count not the cost of impacting cities and nations for Christ.
10. I see a church whose leadership is unified in their commitment to the authenticity, credibility and quality of its heart. Leaders, who dare to be themselves, yet live secure in the knowledge that “what they are part of is bigger than the part they play.”Eph. 4:11-13. Eph. 4vs3. 1 Corinthians 12;12-13
11. I see a church committed to an innovative NETWORK that connects hundreds of thousands of pastors and leaders and equips them to flourish. A network committed to the apostolic anointing of leaders who are desperate to see the Church of Jesus Christ rise up to live the un-lived life within His glorious Church. Ephesians 4vs 16
12. I see like-spirited churches in cities of influence that exemplify faithfulness manifested in bricks and mortar. Churches with supernatural provision of buildings and properties standing as beacons of light that brings glory to God and hope to humanity. I Corinthians 3vs12. 1Chronicle 29vs1-25
13. I see a church that loves God (1John 4;19) loves people(John 13;34-35) and loves life 1Peter 4vs 8 Youthful in spirit, generous at heart, faith-filled in confession; loving in nature and inclusive in expression Gen. 11;1
14. Yes, the church that I see is committed to bringing the love and hope of Christ to impossible situations through the preaching of the gospel and a mandate that drives us to do all we can to bring help and solution to a needy world. Whose head is Jesus, help is the Holy Spirit and whose focus is the Great Commission. Heb. 12vs 2.
For a vision like this to be actualized in reality, there must be a way of behavior of its citizen to birth what we have envisioned. Here comes our Believe and Code of Conducts.
Code of Ethics for CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY CENTRE Congregations and its Leadership.
Jesus and his apostles gave the Church instruction in the responsible use of gifts, in the practice of unity and holiness, and in witness to the world. Jesus also gave gifts to the Church so that it might be built up and reach unity in the faith, knowledge of the Son of God, and maturity.
The Church of Jesus Christ is embodied in local congregations. Among the gifts Jesus provides the Church are pastors to teach congregations, lead them, and care for their spiritual well-being. In return, the lay leaders of our congregations are responsible to provide for the clergy and to facilitate their work. They also have responsibilities to the congregation at large, to the family of churches to which they belong, and to the communities in which they live and worship.
Therefore responsible congregational leadership will: Honor and Support the Gifts Christ Gives to the Churches,
Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the Church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the Church, the Body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11- 12, NLT) •
TO THE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY CENTRE CHURCH LEADERS/ELDERS
Provide for the physical and spiritual needs of pastors and their families; pay an adequate salary and benefits to pastors and other staff; provide annual compensation reviews.
• Ensure that pastors have both weekly and annual times of rest and opportunities for study.
• Seek to enable and cultivate the spiritual gifts of the congregation’s members. Promote the Unity of Christ’s Body Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future. (Ephesians 4:3-4, NLT)
• Foster interaction between generations and between social and ethnic groups in the church.
• Affirm the strengths of differing worship styles.
• Honor pastoral vision and teaching, engaging an appropriate outside counselor to facilitate healing when a dispute with a pastor reaches an impasse.
• Present a united front in support of major initiatives.
• Confront those in the congregation that actively oppose the leadership or demonstrate apathy toward the leadership’s vision.
• Work to reconcile dissident factions through mutual listening and sharing.
• Work to ensure that all members are engaged in opportunities for growth in discipleship
• Strive in all things to live out Jesus’ command to his followers, “Love one another, as I have loved you.”
• Foster constructive connections with and keep commitments to other churches in its community, and to churches that belong to its denomination or the network of churches with which it shares a heritage. Practice Accountability The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all. Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear! (Luke 12:2-3, NLT)
• Model openness and clear communication in doing the congregation’s business; work with the congregation to develop shared expectations about transparency.
• Open the church’s financial records for periodic independent review.
• Create periodic opportunities for both pastors and lay leaders to receive feedback from those they serve and give opportunity for personal and professional growth.
• Hold pastors and lay teachers to the truths found in Scripture, especially as they are embodied in the standards of doctrine and personal holiness established by the congregation or denominational family.
• Train pastors, staff and volunteers in methods of preventing the abuse of vulnerable persons, particularly children.
• Establish and use a system of church discipline to deal with members who persist in sinful ways after attempts to guide and restore them have failed.
• Deal fairly and openly with causes of scandal when they occur, within the framework of the law. Practice Good Stewardship If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? (Luke 16:10-11, NLT)
• Pay bills in a timely fashion and take care not to encumber the church with unmanageable debt.
• Use gifts as they are intended.
• Maintain the property and equipment the church owns in good, safe and attractive condition.
• Maintain appropriate levels of insurance.
• Practice wise stewardship in use of natural resources.
• Participate financially in the denomination or extended family of churches to which it belongs.
• Honor the financial record-keeping and reporting practices involved in its membership in a denomination or network of churches. Practice Hospitality Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace. (1 Peter 4:9-10, ESV)
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for public worship, study and community events.
• Minimize barriers that would discourage persons with disabilities from full participation. • Affirm the varied cultural heritages represented in the congregation and community.
• Eliminate artificial barriers to welcoming the surrounding community to public events.
• Allow appropriate community use of church facilities, when such use is not inconsistent with the church’s witness and its ethical commitments.
• Be sensitive to the impact of traffic, parking and the sounds of worship on its neighbors. Seek the Welfare of the Community Where God has Placed It Work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you … (Jeremiah 29:7, NLT) • Demonstrate in the congregation’s own life the global and multicultural nature of Christ’s Body.
• Speak through designated leaders to issues of injustice in the local community and beyond.
• Work to alleviate suffering and promote health and spiritual well-being of its community and the world. As the church leadership team, we commit to abide by the standards set forth in this Code of Ethics for Congregations and Leadership.
Our Statement of Beliefs
1. THE SCRIPTURE; We believe the Bible is God’s Word, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives. Deuteronomy 4:1-2; Psalm 119:11, 89, 105; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 22:29; John 5:39, 16:13-15, 17:17; Romans 15:4; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 1:1-2, 4:12; 1 Peter 1:25; 2 Peter 1:21
2. ONE GOD; We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. (Eph. 4vs5-6) He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit (Eph 4:4-6). He is totally loving and completely holy.
Sin ;We believe our sin has separated each of us from God and His Purpose for our Lives as result, man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort. Genesis 3, Psalm32;1-5, Isaiah 6;5 Romans 3;10. 3;23,5;12 and 1corinthians 15;21-22
4. Jesus; We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. (2 CORINTHIANS 5;18-20) He lived a sinless and exemplary life,(1 Peter 2vs22) died on the cross in our place,(1Peter 3vs18) and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life. Matthew 28vs 18
5. Repentance: We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives. Acts 8vs 22. Luke 15vs 10
6. Baptism; We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptized in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues. Mark 16vs16
7. THE CHURCH: We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer and the ‘breaking of bread’. We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfill our role in the Church, and serve the community in which we live. Matthew 16:18-19, 18:15-20; Acts 2:41-47, 5:11-14, 13:1-3, 14:23, 16:5, 20:28; 1 Corinthians 7:17; Ephesians 1:22-23, 2:19-22, 3:10-12, 5:22-32; Colossians 1:18, 3:15; 1 Peter 5:1-4; Revelation 21:2-3 Acts 2vs41-4
8. We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and blessed lives in order to help others more effectively. Daily health and divine healing were purchased by Jesus’ atoning sacrifice. Wisdom for the healthy stewardship of our bodies and divine healing by the laying on of hands are available to every believer.
Psalm 103:2-3; Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:17-18; Acts 8:6-7; James 5:14-16; 1 Corinthians 12:9, 28; Romans 11:29
9. HEAVEN: We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew 5:3, 12, 20; 6:20, 19:21, 25:34; John 17:24; 2 Corinthians 5:1; Hebrews 11:16; 1 Peter 1:4; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 19:20
10. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised. Acts 1vs11
11. Resurrection & Rapture ; We believe in the resurrection of the saints and rapture of the Church. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 says, “...the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.”1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
12. The Reign of Christ; Following the tribulation, we believe Jesus will physically and visibly return to Earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Revelation 20:6 tells us Jesus’ followers will reign with Him for a thousand years as kings and priests. Matthew 24:30, 26:63-64; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-8; Revelation 1:7
Following Jesus.
What does it mean to follow Jesus?
God loves you right where you are, but He loves you too much to leave you where you are. Following Jesus means embracing a life of surrender to Him. It’s more than a one-time prayer or consistent church attendance. It’s a gritty, heart-level posture that affects every area of life. And there’s always a next step.
As we read through scripture we can’t help but notice a path that God most often leads His people down. It starts with knowing and loving Him and leads to knowing and loving people. We’re convinced following Jesus in an invitation to…
Know God
Grow in Freedom
Discover Purpose
Go Make a Difference
CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY CENTRE is an group institution who are dedicated to help you identify and take your next step in the safety and freedom of community.
Know God.
You were created to know God relationally. This is more than head knowledge. The incarnation and the cross show us the infinite lengths God is willing to go to have a close, intimate relationship with us. He doesn’t just love us. John 3:16 says “God so loved” us. Following Jesus means knowing and being known by a God who is wild about us.
We consider it a great privilege to make everyone know God.
Grow in Freedom.
Following Jesus also means becoming more like Him. Your salvation and eternity are secure the moment you accept Jesus as your savior, but your sanctification (spiritual maturity) is a journey that doesn’t happen in isolation. Becoming more like Jesus means letting go of your past and growing in freedom surrounded by a loving community.
Discover Purpose.
God didn’t just save you from something, He saved you for something! You were created in the image of God with a unique purpose. Often the thing He saves you from is connected to the thing He wants to use you for. Purpose isn’t something we create or choose, it’s something we discover in the content of community. Discovering your kingdom purpose is a journey and we’re committed to help you every step of the way.
Go Make a Difference.
Finally, following Jesus means going out into our world, loving our neighbor, and making a difference. We find great joy in giving generously; praying boldly, serving consistently and helping other people find and take their next step. Freely we have received; freely we go make a difference!
What if more is possible? We believe the Church was always meant to be a church on the move in Different locations. Not a building. Not a weekly meeting alone But A movement. We invite you to come be a part.
