Anglican Children Ministry SundayπŸ™πŸΎπŸ˜‡

Preacher: Bro. David Chinonso-Onwurah
Matthew 19 verse 14

Children aren’t just created to serve us as parents , but as the Bible put it, they are rewards from heaven.

It is the sole responsibility of the parent to deeply root their children and upcoming generation in Christ, in other words, catch them young. Take them to church with you, involve them in your quiet time, teach them to read the Bible, and explain words they don’t understand clearly to them.

Children are like a blank canvas that we paint on, whatever action you take, whatever words that proceeds from your mouth is being recorded in their mind.

As Christian parents, being deeply rooted in Christ isn’t just about being spiritually active, it is also about having full control of one’s emotion, having control of the words from your mouth as a Christian parent. The Bible says the power of life and death lies in the tongue.

Renounce those negative words you may have said unconsciously and pray that these younger ones do better instead.

Concerning the Holy Spirit...

* You cannot have a full manifestation of the Holy Spirit if you are not rooted in Christ.

* The work of the Holy Spirit begins within the life of a fellow, not in screams, demonstrations or tongues (even fake ones) seen around our environments πŸ™ŒπŸΎ.

* When you carry Him (The Holy Spirit) within, all your actions and activities changes πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡.

* One of the evidences of the presence of the Holy Spirit is BOLDNESS

* Someone who carries the presence of the Holy Spirit shouldn't be subject to patterns of any sort, instead as a carrier of Him, you should be the one drawing the pattern

* The Presence of the Holy Spirit doesn't take away challenges but it gives you the boldness to confront challenges

* The Presence of the Holy Spirit convicts you of sin

* The Presence of the Holy Spirit brings Revival

* Holy Spirit is the right spirit that teaches and gives you the right information that will make you succeed rightly

* Lastly, when the Holy Spirit dwells in you, self dies.

Let's not just engage in ritual activities of Pentecost sunday, but allow the Holy Spirit to dwell among us with His evidences and gifts as we work towards bearing the fruits of the Spirit.

ROOTED IN CHRIST Pt. 3

Topic: What does it take to be rooted in Christ?
Text: Col. 2:6-7

*Before you can be rooted in Christ, you must have been uprooted from somewhere

* It actually takes Christ to uproot you from where you were formally rooted and transplant you into the kingdom of God

* Don't think of been rooted in Christ if you are not willing to be uprooted from the patterns of the world

* Many who claim they are saved, are not rooted in Christ. You cannot possibly be rooted into someone you have not had an encounter with.

* In Jesus there is no sin to sin πŸ˜‡, Sin would never be enticing anymore..

Be uprooted to be Rooted πŸ™πŸΎ

ROOTED IN CHRIST Pt. 2

Topic: Understanding the concept of Roots
Text: Col. 2:6-7

* Just like the normal root of a tree,
βœ“ The survival of any Christian is dependent on his/her root
βœ“ The strength of a Christian is determined by his/her spiritual depth
βœ“ The lenght of time you will stand as a Christian is dependent on your "under"

* A Deeply rooted Christian survives storms
βœ“ They have stability during trials
βœ“ They are faithful in difficult seasons
βœ“ They have spiritual fruitfulness
βœ“ They discern false teachings
βœ“ They have usual hunger for God

* What do i do to become rooted in Christ
βœ“ Remain in God's word
βœ“ Develop a strong prayer life
βœ“ Stay connected to fellowship
βœ“ Obey God consistently

The root of a tree may be hidden but still very essential, likewise your spirituality as a believerπŸ˜‡

ROOTED IN CHRIST Pt. 1

Topic: Receiving Christ and Walking in Him
Text: Col. 2:6-7

* Many believers receive Christ as Savior but not Lord

* Many work for Him and believe it also means that they walk with Him

* To receive Christ means to surrender your life to Him
βœ“ People shall see the life of Christ through you if you have totally surrendered
βœ“ To receive Christ is also to allow Him to direct our lives

* Salvation is a door to spiritual growth and not a destination

* What does it mean to walk with Him
βœ“ It involves movement, consistency and intentionality
βœ“ Our character should reflect Christ in every way
βœ“ Your relationship should reflect who you are and your priorities.

* Pratical ways to walk with Christ
βœ“ Depend on God daily πŸ™‡πŸ½
βœ“ Hunger for His wordπŸ“–
βœ“ Maintain a prayer life ♾️
βœ“ Pursue Holiness always πŸ™πŸΎ

Consistency produces stability in the Body πŸ™ŒπŸΎ
Let your life reveal God Himself.

DECLARATION FOR MAY 2026

Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the gift of a new month; May 2026. Thank You for Your faithfulness that has brought us thus far. As we step into this new season, we commit every day, every moment, and every plan into Your mighty hands.
Lord, this month, our roots go deeper in You. We draw strength, nourishment, and stability from You alone. We shall not be shaken, we shall not be moved.
We decree and declare:
That our lives are firmly grounded in Christ; no storm, trial, or challenge shall uproot us.
That we grow in grace, in wisdom, and in spiritual understanding throughout this month.
That everything concerning us; our families, health, ministry, work, and destiny; is established upon the solid foundation of Christ.
Father, we commit this month into Your hands: Let Your will prevail over every plan. Order our steps and direct our paths. Let Your presence go before us and make every crooked way straight.
We boldly declare:
That no evil hand of the enemy shall come near our dwelling.
No weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment is condemned.
We are covered by the blood of Jesus; we dwell under the shadow of the Almighty, and no harm shall befall us.
Lord, let Your mighty hand rest upon us:
Let Your hand bring favor, lifting, and open doors.
Let Your hand bring protection, preservation, and peace.
Let Your hand establish the work of our hands and cause us to flourish in every area of our lives.
This month, we declare divine stability, spiritual growth, supernatural increase, and unshakable faith. We shall bear fruits that abide, and our lives shall reflect the glory of Christ.
We go forth in confidence, knowing that we are deeply rooted in Christ; anchored, established, and victorious.
Thank You, Father, for answered prayers.
In Jesus’ mighty name we pray,
Amen.
