Title: Deepen Your Relationship With God
Sub Title: When The World Gets Harder, Go Deeper With God
Text: Psalm 42:1–2; Matthew 6:33; John 17:3
We are living in a time when many things are becoming difficult. The economy is challenging. Responsibilities are increasing. The cost of living is rising. People are working harder.
Families are under pressure. Young people are trying to find their way. Many are carrying burdens nobody
knows about and in the midst of all this, there is a danger we must recognize:
When life becomes difficult, our relationship with God can become the first thing we neglect.
We become busy trying to survive. We become occupied with bills. We become consumed with work. We become anxious about tomorrow. We become frustrated by unanswered prayers and gradually, without realizing it, prayer becomes less important. Bible reading becomes occasional. Our hunger for God begins to decrease and before we know it, we are still Christians, but we are no longer walking closely with
God. Today, God is calling us back. Not backwards but back to healthy relationship with Him. It seems a time-to-time entertainment to deeper in our relationship with God.
Things That God Wants Us To Know And To Do
1) God does not just want us to know about Him --- He wants us to know Him. John 17:3
2) When life gets harder, your hunger for God should become stronger. Psalm 42:1
3) Don't allow the pressures of life to steal your time with God. Luke
10:38-42
4) Don't only seek God for what He can give --- seek God for who He is. Habakkuk 3:17-18
5) Fall in love with the word of God. Psalm 119:97
6) Deepen your work with the Holy spirit. John 16:13
7) Seek God first. Matt 6:33
Don't let the economy steal your devotion. Don't let pressure steal your prayer life. Don't let disappointment steal your faith. Don't let busyness steal your Bible. Don't let
entertainment steal your hunger. Don't let unanswered prayers make you abandon God. Don't let the hardness of life make your heart hard toward God and above all: DON'T LET LIFE MAKE YOU DISTANT FROM GOD.
WHEN THE WORLD GETS HARDER, GO DEEPER WITH GOD. If you have to work harder-pray harder.
If you have more responsibilities—depend more on God. If the future becomes uncertain—hold tighter to His Word. If the pressure increases—strengthen your altar. If everything around you changes—don't change your commitment to God because the God who was faithful yesterday is still faithful today and when everything
else fails, He remains.
So go deeper in your relationship with God and see Him give you victory over all your struggles. Amen
