CHOOSING FORGIVENESS ❤️
Forgiveness is not always easy, but it is always powerful. Sometimes the deepest wounds come from people we trusted, loved, and never expected to hurt us. In those moments, our hearts may feel heavy, and holding on to the pain may seem justified. But as believers, we are called to a higher life — a life that reflects love, grace, and mercy.
The Bible reminds us in Ephesians 4:32:
"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."
Choosing forgiveness does not mean the pain was not real, and it does not mean what happened was right. Forgiveness simply means we refuse to let bitterness control our hearts. It is choosing peace over anger, healing over resentment, and freedom over emotional bo***ge.
God also warns us in Matthew 6:14-15:
"For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."
When we forgive, we release ourselves from the weight of hurt. Forgiveness opens the door for God to heal our hearts and restore our joy. Sometimes, forgiveness is not about the other person; it is about our own spiritual growth and obedience to God.
The Word of God also says in Colossians 3:13:
"Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you."
Today, choose to forgive. Choose peace. Choose love. As we forgive others, God strengthens our hearts and fills us with His grace.
God bless you all 🙏✨
