Our church service today was exceedingly great as our pastor, Pst. Amb. Utibe Tom, delivered a powerful and timely message titled “Victory Over Darkness by the Finished Work of Christ,” taken from Genesis 1:2.
He reminded us that just as darkness covered the earth in the beginning, darkness can also represent chaos, confusion, sin, fear, and hopelessness in the lives of people. However, the good news is that darkness is not permanent. By the finished work of Christ on the cross, every form of darkness has been confronted and defeated.
The message emphasized that Christ’s victory means:
Darkness has no final authority over the believer
The light of God’s Word and Spirit drives out every form of chaos
Through Christ, believers are empowered to live above fear, sin, and oppression
Our confidence is rooted not in our efforts, but in what Jesus has already accomplished
It was a faith-building and enlightening service that reaffirmed our position as people who walk in the light of Christ’s victory. Truly, light has prevailed, and darkness has lost its grip. ✨🙏
