Itu Field Appoints Pastor Peter Gabriel as Pioneer Field Evangelist
In a historic move, The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Itu Field has appointed Pastor Peter Gabriel as its Pioneer Field Evangelist during the first Itu Field Easter Major Convention held at Ikot Inyang Area.
The announcement was made by the Pioneer Field Superintendent, Apostle G. E. Akpan, to the large congregation gathered for the convention, which was the first of its kind in the Field.
Prior to his appointment, Pastor Gabriel had served the church in various capacities, including as a Church Helper and Worker, before receiving the call into the office of an Elder in November, 2009. He faithfully served in this role for 10 years.
In December 2019, during the Uyo Field Convention, Pastor Gabriel was called into the pastoral ministry and was inducted to begin his first pastoral journey in March 2020. He currently serves as the District Pastor of Urua Ekpa District, Ikot Mbonde Itam Area, Itu Field.
Apostle Akpan, in his address, highlighted Pastor Gabriel for this prestigious role due to his exemplary leadership, dedication to the propagation of the gospel, spiritual maturity, and commitment to the work of the Lord, which made him the ideal candidate for the pioneering role of Field Evangelist.
The Itu Field Easter Major Convention was a significant event, marking a new chapter in the growth of the Apostolic Fold presence in the region. The appointment of Pastor Peter Gabriel as the Pioneer Field Evangelist is expected to further strengthen the church's evangelistic efforts and spiritual guidance within and outside the Field.
The congregation welcomed the announcement with great enthusiasm, pledging their support and prayers for Pastor Gabriel as he takes on this new responsibility.
