TOPIC: BUILDING A FINANCIAL LIFE THAT HONORS GOD
TEXTS: PROVERBS 24:3–5; PHILIPPIANS 4:6–7; LUKE 16:10

Many people are eager to become wealthy, but in their pursuit of riches, they sometimes embrace methods that are neither approved by God nor pleasing in His sight. Scripture teaches that God is the source of wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18). Therefore, wealth acquired through dishonest or ungodly means is unstable and cannot produce lasting fulfillment or blessing.

God is not only interested in our prosperity but also in how we obtain and manage what He has entrusted to us.

WISDOM IS THE FOUNDATION OF A HEALTHY FINANCIAL LIFE

Proverbs 24:3–5 teaches that a house is built through wisdom and established through understanding. The same principle applies to our financial lives.

A strong financial system is built on godly wisdom. Wisdom is a gift from God that enables us to make sound decisions, avoid unnecessary mistakes, and handle our resources faithfully.

Without wisdom, wealth can be gained quickly but lost just as easily. With wisdom, even little resources can be multiplied and preserved.

THE ROLE OF DISCIPLINE:

Wisdom must be accompanied by discipline.

A disciplined person learns to control spending, distinguish between needs and wants, and save for what is truly important. Financial discipline prevents waste and helps ensure that resources are used for the purposes God intends.

Do not allow yourself to be pressured by everything you see around you. The desire to keep up with others can tempt people into seeking wealth through shortcuts or methods that do not honor God.

Instead, be content, patient, and trust God's process.

Wisdom Prevents Waste

When you possess wisdom, you learn to value every resource God places in your hands.

Wise people do not spend carelessly or impulsively. They understand that every financial decision has consequences. Rather than consuming everything they receive, they plan, prioritize, and use their resources responsibly.

Wisdom teaches us to invest where there is value, prepare for future needs, and avoid unnecessary losses. It allows us to maximize every opportunity God provides instead of allowing blessings to slip away through poor decisions.

GOOD STEWARDSHIP MAKES YOU VALUABLE:

When you faithfully manage resources, you become a valuable resource yourself.

Joseph is a powerful example of this principle. During the years of abundance in Egypt, he wisely stored grain and prepared for the coming famine. Because of his excellent stewardship and management, Egypt survived the crisis, and people from surrounding nations came to buy food.

Joseph's wisdom made him one of the greatest resources in the world during that season.

Likewise, God entrusts greater responsibilities to those who prove faithful with what they already have.

A FINANCIAL LIFE THAT HONORS GOD:

A financial life that pleases God is one that prioritizes good stewardship and proper management of the resources He provides.

God is not merely looking at how much we possess but at how faithfully we use what He has given us. Whether our resources are great or small, we are called to handle them with integrity, wisdom, gratitude, and accountability.

FAITHFULNESS IN LITTLE LEADS TO GREATER RESPONSIBILITY:

Luke 16:10 teaches that "Whoever is faithful with very little will also be faithful with much."

God often tests our character through the small things before entrusting us with greater blessings. If we cannot manage little resources responsibly, we are unlikely to manage greater wealth well.

Faithfulness in little includes:

- Managing finances honestly.
- Spending wisely.
- Saving responsibly.
- Honoring God with what we have.
- Being trustworthy in every financial responsibility.

As we remain faithful in these areas, God can confidently entrust us with more because He knows we will use it according to His purposes.

Building a financial life that honors God begins with recognizing Him as the true source of wealth. It requires wisdom to make sound decisions, discipline to control our desires, and faithful stewardship in managing every resource He places in our hands.

When we honor God in both the pursuit and management of wealth, we build not only financial stability but also a life that reflects His character and brings glory to His name.

Topic: Developing a Healthy Financial System
Texts: Luke 14, Psalm 24:1, Proverbs 6:6–9

If we do not understand finances, we may struggle to accomplish God's purpose for our lives on earth. Money is an important resource, but it must never replace God in our hearts. Just as God desires our worship, devotion, service, and attention, money often competes for that same position. We must ensure that God always remains first.

God sometimes humbles us to remind us that our survival is not dependent on our abilities, talents, or instincts, but on His grace and strength.

GOD'S DESIGN FOR WEALTH:

There is no such thing as "miracle money." God's design is for mankind to work and create wealth through diligence and creativity. He has placed unique gifts and abilities within every individual, giving us the potential to live in financial liberty. However, those gifts must be developed and put to use. Creativity is the key that unlocks the wealth God has already deposited within us.

Jesus Himself demonstrated this principle. He was a skilled carpenter who faithfully practiced His craft. History suggests that He also helped provide for His family through His work. His life teaches us the value of skill, diligence, and creativity.

God desires His children to prosper, and He has established a structure for wealth creation. That structure begins with earning. Earnings come through work; by providing valuable services or producing goods that positively impact others in exchange for a financial reward.

A good example is when Jesus instructed Peter to catch a fish, and the coin needed to pay their taxes was found in its mouth. Peter still had to use his skill as a fisherman before the provision appeared. God's provision often meets us in the place of our work.

Once wealth is acquired, it must be managed wisely. Avoid unnecessary spending and become a faithful steward of every resource God entrusts to you.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A HEALTHY FINANCIAL SYSTEM

1. Acknowledge God as the Source of Your Wealth

Everything we possess belongs to God (Psalm 24:1). We are only stewards of His resources. Jacob acknowledged God as the source of his increase, and God prospered him, as seen in the account of the striped and unstriped sheep.

God did not place us on earth merely to serve people but to raise people. The gifts He has given us are meant to inspire, equip, and develop others. When we walk in God's principles, He releases wisdom and ideas that lead to wealth.

Build a platform for your identity and allow your gifts to make room for you.

2. Have Clear Financial Goals

Money responds to purpose. Every believer should have clear financial goals. Ask yourself: What assignment will my money fulfill when it arrives? Set targets, create a plan, and work intentionally toward them.

No gift is too small to create wealth. Like the parable of the talents, God expects us to multiply whatever He has placed in our hands.

Avoid laziness, because laziness often leads to unnecessary borrowing and borrowing is not God's ideal plan for His children.

PRACTICAL STEPS TO FINANCIAL STABILITY
1. When money comes, first set aside God's portion (tithe), then save, and invest wisely.
2. Create and follow a budget.
3. Be generous with your resources. Generosity opens doors for greater blessings and fulfills God's purpose for wealth.

Although God's desire is that we do not live in debt, if borrowing ever becomes necessary, it should be done with wisdom and responsibility.

TOPIC: First Fruit Harvest

TEXT: 1 Corinthians 15:20-37, John 12:24, James 1:18

NUGGETS:

- Harvest is a season of joy, thanksgiving and celebration. The first fruit harvest was the first portion of the harvest dedicated to God before the rest was gathered. It was a way of acknowledging God as the source of increase and trusting Him for greater blessings to come.

- The children of Israel celebrated the first fruit harvest because it signifies God's faithfulness and the promise of more harvest ahead.

- The first fruit was not the end of the harvest, it was an indication that more harvest was on the way.

- As the children of Israel entered the promised land, God instructed them to bring the first and best of their Harvest to Him.

- Both Cain and Abel brought offerings to God, but Abel offered the best and first of his flocks. His offering was accepted because it was given in faith and honour to God.

- The first fruit was celebrated because it represented a greater harvest ahead. Just as a farmer sees the first produce and expect more, the first fruit reminds us that God's blessings are not finished.

- In Agriculture, seeds are planted, they die in the soil, they germinate and grow and they eventually produce much fruits. This principle reminds us that growth and multiplication come through sacrifice and divine process.

- We are the fruit of Christ's sacrifice.
We are the fruit produced by His death and resurrection.

(Romans 11:16-17): If Christ, our first fruit, is holy, then those connected to Him are made holy.

CONCLUSION:

Jesus Christ is the ultimate first fruit. Through His death and resurrection, He produced a great harvest of believers.

Therefore, Rejoice in God's faithfulness. Trust Him for greater things ahead. Walk in the power of Christ's resurrection. Remember that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead can resurrect every dead situation in your life.

TOPIC: Building A Family Legacy

TEXT: Proverbs 13:22

NUGGETS:
God's plan for families extends beyond one generation. His blessings, promises and purposes are designed to impact children, grandchildren and generations yet unborn. Therefore every family should be intentional about building a legacy that honors God.

Strong legacies are built when families move in the same direction under God's guidance.

Many people define inheritance only in terms of money and possessions, but in God's mind, inheritance is seen as faith, vision that continues long after we are gone.

A legacy is the valuable inheritance and lasting Influence we leave behind for future generations.

No God given vision should die with it's carrier. What God starts in one generation should continue in another.

The greatest legacy a parent can leave is a generation that knows and serves God.

(Psalm 145:4) Reveals God's desire that one generation should declare His works to the next. Every generation should become a testimony of God's faithfulness to the another generation.

The question is not merely what are "we leaving behind?", but "who are we raising behind us?". Are we raising a generation that knows God, loves God, and can declare His mighty acts.

As believers, we're not leaving for ourselves alone. God's purpose for our lives extends beyond our individual existence. Your prayer life should not end with you, your commitment to God should not end with you. Everything you build in God should continue through your children and grandchildren.

In (Deuteronomy 6:6-7), God commanded His people to teach diligently to His children. This instruction reveals that God's word was never intended for one generation alone. The word He gives you today is not only for your benefit, it is also for your children, and the generations that will come after you.

Many people today are experiencing foundations laid by previous generations. Some inherit blessings because their parents and grandparents walked with God. Others struggle because ungodly patterns were established long before they were born.

(Proverbs 20:7) Teaches that a righteous man who walks in integrity leaves a blessing for his children. Integrity is not merely what we say in public, it is who we are when no one is watching.

NUGGETS
* There is nothing anyone can achieve in life without God's grace. Many have struggled and failed, while others have emerged victorious.
* It is God's grace that defines what a person becomes.
* Grace can sustain, uphold, and bring prosperity effortlessly. In fact, effort only becomes possible through God's grace.
* Daniel was thrown into the lions' den, but before his arrival, grace met him there.
* Grace sustained Daniel and awakened the king to see God's hand in Daniel's life, even though the king believed he would die. (:18)
* Grace is indestructible. (:22)
* When Daniel left the den, he departed with grace. This illustrates the importance of a believer's life—do not neglect your prayer life or pursuit of righteousness, because wherever you are, grace is present.
* Grace cannot be chained. (Acts 12:6-11) Chains break in the presence of grace.
* If grace can forgive sins, there is nothing it cannot do.
* The presence of grace is for believers; those opposed to it either miss out or remain asleep.
* Grace will not leave a work unfinished in your life.
* When you encounter God's grace, powers lose their influence over you.
* Grace transfers a person from one state to another, not just meeting them where they are, but elevating them to a place of glory and testimony.

PRAYERS:
- Father, wherever grace resides, please lead me there.
- God of grace, please establish your dwelling in my spirit and never depart. Amen.

* Grace can never stay where there is confusion.

* Sustained grace makes service joyful because it flows from the depths of love.

* As a believer, nothing will bring down your family.
* Because grace dwells within your family, nothing will hinder its progress. Amen
