God can take over and powerfully use you even when you are weak.

Know that God can use you irrespective of your insecurities. He didn't care that Moses was a stammerer, He used him to make great miracles. Even when Moses questioned his capabilities, God shut him up and charged him to go to Egypt. And God stood by him to accomplish great things and deliver the children of Israel.

Jeremiah on the other hand said he was too young and God told him not to consider his age. Even as a child, God used Jeremiah to fulfil great things.

Do not underestimate yourself, God can use you to do great works. One common thing between Moses and Jeremiah was the willingness to do it irrespective of their insecurities.

Always prepare yourself because God wants to use us. When He does, it will not be you speaking but the spirit of your father speaking through you. Anybody that is in Jesus will definitely have/live a life that stands out.

God will use you for His glory. When you know who you are in Christ, you speak with authority. When you have the spirit of God in you, you'll be changed into a different person. No matter how weak you are, even academically, God can use you. Even in your old age.

TOPIC: SELF ENCOURAGEMENT

It is important for one to take care of his/herself. Self encouragement helps you to face challenges with strength and confidence. It is strength in the face of pain/grief.

You need courage in your Christian journey. Know that all the battles you are fighting are seen by God, and He will give you double blessings. Never plan to give up, wait on the Lord, He will soon visit. Be honest to follow God no matter the challenge.

Don't stay discouraged, encourage yourself. God encouraged Joshua to be strong and courageous, and to not be afraid nor discouraged for the Lord God will be with him wherever he goes. Same thing applies to our Christian journey.

We have to study the word continually, so that we can be able to abide by it, and prosper in all we do. Also, play a part in encouraging the people to follow God through challenges. God has promised not to fail nor abandon you.

Joshua took his stand as a leader and encouraged the children of Israel to go on out to possess the lands that God had given to them.

David too, after his return to Ziklag realised his wives had been captured alongside other women and children, encouraged himself in the Lord and also his men to go after the raiders.

Be encouraged and continue with the Lord. If He has answered you before, He'll answer you again. Do not be fearful and take a bold step. If no one encourages you, encourage yourself. Speak positive words over your life. (Job22:29) Do not join the crowd to speak negative things about yourself and the Lord.

“Job 22:29 KJV
When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, there is lifting up; And he shall save the humble person.”

TOPIC: SELF IMPROVEMENT/DEVELOPMENT

Self development is a high calling. It is a development of your potential so that you can attain the height that God has called you to be.

Growth is very important as a believer. If you have something, don't remain with it, add another to it (1Peter 1:5-11). This way, you'll develop what you've had to something bigger. If God shows you something, it is up to you to develop yourself to reach the goal.

Elisha knew God was about to take his master Elijah from him, so he prepared himself to take over from Elijah. He ended up getting a double portion of Elijah’s mantle because he prepared and worked towards it. He ensured he was available to see when Elijah would be taken up. It required focus, alertness, and determination to avoid distractions, and he succeeded.

Do not neglect the spiritual gifts that you have received from God, develop it.

Potential is a hidden capacity within people to achieve more than their current state. Some of the ways to kindle this flame is by:

- Living the life of Christ.
- Studying to show thyself approved.
- Constant prayer until your potential begins to manifest.

You have to pay the price to break free from a certain state. When you do this, the result will be visible, and people will come to tap from you. Remember, nobody goes to fetch water from a dry stream.

The children of Israel stayed at Mount Sinai for too long, until God told them to break camp and move on, and occupy all the other lands that God had given to their ancestors — Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and their descendants. This also applies to the children of God who have refused to explore the full potential that God has deposited in them. This is a call to break out and utilise what has been given to you.

Never feel comfortable on a static ground, strive to push forward.

To grow, you have to:

- Be open to other people's ideas.
- You have to listen more than you talk.
- You should be open to new opinions.
- Ask yourself, “do I really admit when I'm wrong?”

TOPIC: A CALL TO REPENTANCE

Repentance is feeling genuine sorrow for ones sin, confessing them, seeking forgiveness, and turning away from them to live a new life that pleases God. There was a call to repentance through Joel to the children of Israel (Joel1:13-20).

God wants us to come to Him in sincerity, with all our hearts, and with fasting, weeping and mourning. And in His mercy, He will forgive us. We have separated ourselves from Hod through our iniquities that He cannot hear us. This is why we have to call out to God to have mercy on us.

It is a time of reflection. A time where you genuinely go before God. It is written that out iniquities have turned away good things from us, but there is still hope. When you repent of these, God will have mercy and pity you. Where there is genuine repentance, there is always restoration.

He will restore the corn, wine, and the oil to us.

The corn is food. God will send us food in plenty. It represents the strength that comes from returning to God to keep going.

Oil serves different purposes. It can be used to light a lamp. It represents anointing, and can be used for healing wounds. Oil is so important, it is said, “let your head lack no oil” (Ecl.9:8). We need the oil to operate, without it, we are dry. When you carry oil, your face shines, just like Moses when he came down after being with God for 40 days.

God wants to restore the oil of healing. A wise man will always carry oil to sustain his light, so it doesn't go out.

Wine is what makes both God and man happy. It is what brings joy to, so this means God will send joy to you. The joy that was lost will be restored back to the church.

TOPIC: OH GOD! RESTORE OUR SPIRITUAL SENSES.

Just like we have five sense organs physically, and we need it to stay alert and aware of our environment, our spiritual senses are also needed to stay alert and aware spiritually.

The two spiritual senses that stands out are seeing and hearing.

With a sound spiritual sense of seeing, we can see our territories just like God showed to Abraham (Gen.13:14). When the eyes of our understanding is opened, we will know the hope of His calling. You will see the riches that He has in store for you as an inheritance.

It is through the eyes that we perceive light, therefore our spiritual eyes needs to be open for us to stay in the light. In a case where we fail to perceive light in the spirit, darkness will consume our being.

Do not play with what God has spoken to you. God called Samuel with the voice of his master, Eli. This showed that Samuel's spiritual hearing was alive. It takes someone who is ready to walk with God to hear from Him. If He speaks to you and you do not follow His words, He will drop you. He directs a man by speaking to him. God will speak to you based on the level of your faith.

Know that God needs your acceptance and cooperation, that is why He will stand at the door and knock until you hear and open up. He will not break in, He's a gentleman. Ask him to help you hear Him well. When you hear Him you will not be ignorant of which path to tread.

The church will move forward if we can see well and hear well.

TOPIC: TARRY UNTIL THE LORD COMES

You have to tarry and wait until God does something in your life.

There are battles to fight and wars that are coming, you have to tarry until you see God, so you will have a testimony. Paul tarried in Ephesus because he knew that a great door was opened to him and opposing it were many adversaries.

The disciples saw the manifestation of God in them after they tarried and waited in the upper room until the day of Pentecost. There is a great need to tarry because there are great things on the way, and there are also things ready to oppose them.

Tarry and give God no rest until He completes His work. Until you carry the oil, do not stop praying for it because without the oil, you will be easily manipulated. Even the bible says, “Let your head lack no oil.” - Eccl.9:8.

After Jesus died and resurrected, Mary Magdalene was the first to see the Lord because she waited. Because she didn't leave when others did, and waited, she witnessed Jesus and went to tell the disciples. If you tarry, you too will see the Lord and tell people about it.

Be patient while you tarry, and the Lord will release His spirit of wisdom and understanding. He will use you to make a solution for a problem. Daniel was a man of prayer and God used him to save the wise men of Babylon when he interpreted the dream of Nebuchadnezzar.

Tarry Until You See God.

TOPIC: LIVING BY SACRIFICE

God expects us all to live by sacrifice because He believes in sacrifice. To show this, He gave His only son to die and atone for the sins of man. This is the greatest sacrifice.

Paul encouraged that we present ourselves and bodies as a living sacrifice acceptable unto God (Rom.12:1). Living sacrifice in this context is living wholly for God.

Sacrifices when made cannot be taken back. When you offer yourself as a sacrifice to God, it means it is Christ that now lives through you. You can no more do things in a normal sense. You separate yourself from a lot of things.

The work with Christ is like a race, there are rules to be followed and discipline is highly prioritized. These sacrifices that we must make involves denying ourselves of many things pleasurable.

It is important that you realise that you will not have a convenient time to study God's words, you have to make a sacrifice and make time for the study of the word.

Giving as a sacrifice: this can be your money, time, etc. Abraham was willing to give his only son, Isaac whom he loves deeply, as a sacrifice to God. This shows the extent he was willing to go for God.

There are things that God demands from us, and we have to pay a price to make it happen.

TOPIC: A BROKEN VESSEL

God wants an instrument to use, and that instrument must be a broken vessel. God would never dispise a broken vessel.

God used a clay pot to reveal His intention towards Israel. He told Jeremiah to go to a potter's house, where He would reveal His word to him. He said that we are as clay in His hands, and He can mould us into something beautiful.

We have closed up rooms for brokenness which should not be so. We are like clay in the hands of God, just as clay is in the hand of a potter. He makes broken clay into something beautiful.

We have become too difficult for God, that is why He has decided to leave us alone. If you allow God to break and mould you again, He will fill you with His glory. He can do nothing with those who proof too difficult for Him. He will leave them, so they will receive the fruits of their doing.

We should humble ourselves for God to break us and mould us into people that He wants us to be. Allow yourself to be emptied and refilled.

If you refuse to be humble and refuse to be refilled, God allows somethings to get to you inorder to break you. It can be captivity or problems of life, what you go through can break you. Although a lot of people still struggle and refuse to be broken.

God will not reveal His glory in a vessel that is not broken. He will not work with those that are too hardened, so present yourself to God humbly and with brokenness, and He will make you a vessel of honour.

TOPIC: WE ARE GOD'S BUILDING

We are laborers with God, building the church. No man builds a church on his own, he can only listen to God and follow God's plan to build a church that the gate of hell shall not prevail. When Moses wanted to raise a tabernacle, God told him to build it according to a pattern. God also should Noah a pattern to build the ark.

This is the show that we are coworkers we used to God. Anyone that builds a house on his own build it in vain. Whatever God tells you to build, must be in His way and pattern, and you should allow Him to guide you.

Some of our homes do not have a resting place for God because we did not build our home according to God's pattern. God is a builder, we should allow Him to build us.

When a building is started, it does not have a perfect appearance because it is under construction, and only until the building is completed does the beauty show itself. The same thing applies to our lives, when God is building, everything in your life will not look all perfect during the time of construction. Allow him to complete His building.

God is not asking you to go ahead and build a church for Him. He is calling you to be a laborer with Him. Even when the building looks confusing, you continue to trust Him and it will make sense in the end.

God owns the church and He is building it like He said, and anything that will try to disturb His building will be removed.

God wants to make you His own, that you walk in the spirit to please Him. That is why He is asking that you return to Him. He desires that you fully return to Him with all your heart.

God wants to revive your heart when you return to Him (Hosea 6:1-3). Return in your thoughts, eyes, mouth, ears and everything. In all your endeavours, ensure that you have the fear of the Lord.

The fear of the Lord helped Joseph to flee from sin. Marry the fear of God, so you can reverence God in all your doings.

Understand that God will stay away until you acknowledge your offence and seek His face.

He is a spirit and they that worship Him must do it in spirit and in truth. And those that follow to know Him must know Him in the spirit .

TOPIC: NOT BY STRENGTH

In life, it is not by what you have or by your position/background, it is by the Grace if God. The grace that is bestowed upon an individual brings difference.

Whatever has been entrusted to you was given to you by grace. You are a custodian of it and you only need to hear and dispense accordingly, it is not your own. The grace of God is to help you get closer to God, and not to walk away from Him.

How do you use your grace? You need the grace of God to take a step in life. Grace is a gift, and everything wants to receive should put his/herself in an advantageous position. You can't receive it if you do not put yourself in the position to.

The grace comes from God but you have to put yourself in a place to receive. One of the ways to position yourself is to look into Jesus. Believe and trust in Him. You need the grace of God for the Holy spirit to manifest, and to advance in Christianity.

As you receive, you must also give. The more you give, the more you will receive. If you do not give out, you will be saturated and get to a point where you can no longer receive because you wouldn't have a space to store.

One thing that is needed to receive is a vision. You must have a vision on how to utilise what you want to receive. You must ask with a right motive to receive.

For us to manifest the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, grace is needed. The grace that will come has to come through anointing, and the anointing that is needed must go through travail.

The grace that has been given to you needs work to sustain it. The grace of repentance is from God but the working out of salvation is by you. The bible says work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Put yourself in subjection to obedience from the spirit of God and consistently asking and insisting that the power of grace of God be released into your soul.

The greater work in Christianity is with yourself, how you can bring up yourself to become a man/woman that God expected you to be. The grace will be given when effort is shown. The efforts involves sacrifices of time, pleasure, leisure.

Repentance is a gift but heaven is by qualification. Heaven has a standard and you have to trim your life to meet the standard of heaven. We have been given the grace of life, repentance, and the opportunity to hear the word of God. It is up to you to use this opportunity to produce a life that will qualify you for heaven.

TOPIC: THE POWER OF THE TONGUE

It is important to have power over your tongue. As a child of God, silence should be prioritized — never rush to speak, so you don't end up sounding/saying dumb things. Anybody that speaks a lot is bound to sin (Prov.10:19) because it gets to a point where you have no conscious control over the words you say.

When you have power over the things you say, you will stay out of trouble and preserve your life. If you have plans, remain quiet until you have accomplished it.

Watch your words, you do not know who is before you. The word you utter is capable of great destruction when spoken to the wrong person. Also through your words, will God judge you, either justified or condemned.

Even to oneself, the word you speak to yourself have impact in your life. You cannot go beyond the power of your words. Speak confidence, hope and positivity over your life. It is easy for the devil to use your words against you, this is why it is important to stay conscious.

One who knows the power of the tongue is one who keeps secrets. Guard your mouth from spreading every information you hear. Even Jesus after healing the blind, told them to keep it a secrets. There are things that God can speak to you, and you are expected to keep it to yourself.

Keep your life by keeping your words.
