*SAFE AND SECURE IN CHRIST*

*🗝️Key Verse:* _*"For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God"*_ (Colossians 3:3).
Between November 2919 to August 2020, Corona virus (COVID-19) pandemic took the world by storm, leaving many deaths in its trail. This disease episode exposed the vulnerability of man, world governments and big corporations to the fact that we are limited beings in time, knowledge and space. The global lockdown that lasted for months showed how insecure we are.
Our passage of reflection shows us where true safety and security can be found. God, in His wisdom, has always provided man with an 'ark of salvation' in every dispensation. For Noah and his generation, God provided a physical ark; for Moses and his people, He provided them the law and commandments including the ark of covenant. For the Church age, He has provided us His only begotten Son who is our Pascal Lamb.
However, man's greatest problem and threat is sin. This was masterfully and summarily defeated and purged by Christ Jesus through His vicarious blood shed on the cross. Faith in this divine work secures for the believer, the temporary and eternal safety and security he needs.
The fact that we are dead to sin and our lives hid with Christ in God should be heart-warming to every committed and steadfast believer. We must compel and counsel those who are not yet convinced or somewhat ignorant of this truth to turn to the Master, appreciate and cherish this glorious provision. This is the only way to become safe and secured in this world.

*What All Christians Should Know*
*1. Risen with Christ and Saviour*
a. We are spiritually resurrected with Christ, v1.
b. That resurrection makes us different and distinct from the world who all remain in the graveyard of sin, v1.🤔
c. There is no basis of comparison with unbelievers. So, we are to seek heavenly gifts, grace and goods, as against what the world seeks after, v1.❎
*❓Questions*
What are the things the world seeks after? Matthew 6:31,32.
Do you, in reality, seek heavenly things or your concentration is on earthly things?
*2. Real Concentration of Saints*
a. A true Christian deliberately and consciously sets his/her affections and ambitions on things above, v2.👌
b. S/he does not set his/her affections on earthly things unlike the worldly "who loves earthly things"🙆♂️
*❓Question*
Do you cherish silver and gold, positions and possessions, glamour and goods of this world as very important to you or you hold them with lose hands?
*3. Reality of Christian Status*
a. A true Christian is dead to sin and the world, v3.🤜
b. Sin does not have any attraction, impact or power over them any more, v2.✅
c. Because s/he is dead, the love of the world with its glamour and gold, pleasure and positions, wealth and wisdom (earthly) does not have a place in their heart any more, v3.
d. Since s/he is dead, where then is their life? In the grave? No, it is hidden in Christ and therefore their life is undefeatable, unconquerable, imperishable, secured and protected. Do you believe this?👍
