Elder Gideon Wills delivered a sermon on “The Key to Success in the Life of a Christian.” He emphasized that true Christian success is not only measured by worldly achievements but by becoming the person God created us to be and faithfully fulfilling His purpose.
Using Proverbs 3:1–5 as the main text, it was explained that God’s instruction is a command every believer must not forget. Christians are encouraged to keep God’s law, trust in Him completely, and acknowledge Him in all areas of life.
According to the message, the key to success involves:
1. Keeping the Commandments of God – A successful Christian life begins with obedience to God’s word and instructions.
2. Carrying the Word of God – Believers must allow God’s word to guide their decisions, actions, and daily living.
3. Meditating on the Word of God – Regular meditation on Scripture strengthens faith and helps believers remain connected to God.
The results of meditating on God’s word, which include;
1)Receiving strength in faith.
2)Renewal of the mind.
3)Developing unshakable faith.
4)Experiencing true success according to God’s will.
The foundations of Christian success include:
1)Putting God first.
2)Having faith.
3(Studying and applying the Word of God.
4)Maintaining a strong prayer life.
5)Seeking wisdom.
6)Building a good relationship with God.
7)Serving God with patience.
8)Living with integrity and humility.
He encouraged believers to dedicate every moment of their lives to God, reminding them that success comes through a faithful relationship with God and commitment to His word.
Reflection:
The greatest key to success for every Christian is to trust God, obey His commands, and remain committed to His word. A life built on God’s principles will produce lasting success and spiritual growth.
