OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FOR TEENS)

MEMORISE: If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8:36

READ: John 8:31-39

31. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

32. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

33. They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bo***ge to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

34. Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

35. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

36. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

37. I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

38. I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

39. They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

MESSAGE:
When I was a lecturer in the University, some people rushed into my office asking to see the Pastor. They led me to a young man who had a strange affliction of urinating on himself whenever he enters an examination hall. This affliction strikes only during exams. He had given his life to Christ shortly before that day, so when the problem surfaced again and they were about to take him to the hospital, he insisted on seeing me. On getting there, I said a simple prayer and he became normal. He wrote the exams with his trousers wet and he passed.
I don't know what affliction the devil may have put on you, but I decree today that all afflictions must end in Jesus' name. Any plan of the enemy to prevent you from moving forward and achieving your goals is truncated now in Jesus' name. One thing you must realize is that, if you have not yet given your life to Christ, then the devil has every right to afflict you. You better surrender your life to Christ today so that every affliction of the devil can end immediately.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, I surrender my life to you as from today on, I promise to stay away from sin. Please Lord, destroy every affliction of the devil in my life in Jesus' name.

*THEME: TELL THE TRUTH*

MEMORISE: These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
A proud look, a lying tongue, Proverbs 6:16-17a

Read: Acts 5:1-10

1. But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

2. And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.

3. But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

4. Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

5. And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

6. And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.

7. And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.

8. And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.

9. Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.

10. Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

MESSAGE:
People call certain lies 'white lies'. In other words, the lie does not harm anyone. Every lie, no matter how white or black, harms the fellow telling the lie. If you don't believe me ask Ananias and Sapphira. The lie they told in Acts 5 was not harmful to anyone. After all, they did not steal the property that they sold, but they dropped dead for telling that lie. From their story, we see that the Holy Spirit hates lies.
*" and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:"*
Revelation 21:8b
The above passage puts liars in the same category as fornicators. It did not separate the black liars from the white liars, it says "ALL liars". It is for your own good that always tell the truth rather than tell lies.

KEY POINT:
There are no white lies, all lies are sins to God.

Don't try it now....... You are to young for it.
What am I talking about, people general talk today that when you try it once you will know what we are talking about, but am reaching you today to inform u never to try it until you are ready to stay in it. Once tasted is difficult to stay away without it. The word is (S*X). Happy sunday
