We prayed for wisdom for the parents, protection over the child, and a life that brings glory to God.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2

BIBLE READING: JEREMIAH 3-4

THINGS TO NOTE: 3:12;
“… Return thou, …. Said the LORD, and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, … and I will not keep anger for ever”.

In any area where you were not faithful to God again, whether in your commitment to His service, paying of tithe, quiet time, prayer, or consecration, return unto God and start doing what you used to do that made you have a good relationship with Him.

Hearken to God’s pleading and return unto Him, for disobedience can bring danger you never dreamt of. Don’t continue in sin again; return to God for your blessings and healing.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1

BIBLE READING: JEREMIAH 1-2

THINGS TO NOTE: 2:8, 9;
“… the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit ….. I will yet plead with you, saith the LORD, and with your children’s children will I plead”. God is interested in the salvation of every generation.

Even though your generation is civilized and moves with modern technologies and false prophecy is rampant, God is still pleading with you to repent and save yourself from everlasting torment in hellfire. Obey His voice today and yield to his pleading, and repent.

Today is the day of your salvation; don’t miss it. Are you a backslider? Repent and return to God today.

MONDAY, AUGUST 31

BIBLE READING: JUDE 1

THINGS TO NOTE: Verse 3;
“… and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints”.

Since you joined this faith, you have been taught many things: good quiet time, sanctification, how to pray and win your daily battle, giving, paying of tithe, good manner of talking, respect to elders and authority, etc.

Don’t throw any of them away because of temptation, sickness, poverty, persecution, or discouragement. Instead of throwing it away, take what you were taught and teach others, and also exhort them to earnestly contend for the faith.

Don’t kill what was delivered to you; rather, develop it to bring blessing and revival to others.
