Topic: The Ten Virgins

Text: Matthew 25:1-13.

Introduction: We want to thank God that we all here claim to have had and still having an encounter with Christ our master. No matter how bad or good we started life, the journey of life is we have come to know Christ. In our Text there are two main player which we need to take serious cognizance of:
1. Virgins
2. Bridegroom

1. Who is a Virgin?

A virgin is a a lady, woman or man that has never had s*xual relationship with opposite s*x.
Spiritually, he or she is the one that has kept the marriage garment intact. (Revelation 3:4 KJV) (1 Peter 1:5-9 KJV)

Who is the Bridegroom and where is he coming from?

John 15:1&4-5 KJV
[1] I am the true vine and my father is the Husbandman.

John 14:1-4 KJV

WHAT ARE THE LESSON(s) IN THE PARABLE?

1. All the ten virgins started the journey to meet with one Groom.

Ephesians 4:4-6 KJV

[4] There is one body, and one spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling

[5] One Lord, one faith, one baptism, [6] One God and father of all, who is above all and through all, and in you all.

**** They all started together-all ten of them. The foolish along with the wise were walking down a path to meet the groom (verse 1). Ten Virgins took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom. They went on a path or on a way to meet the bridegroom.

[23] And the same time there arose no small stir about that way. [Referring to Christianity] KJV

We may all be in a way but individuals know where his own way will take him. We may be running on the same ground level but not on the grace level.

WHAT IS TURNING POINT??

Turning point is a time when a drastic change happens to a man.

A man can sleep tonight as a messenger to a company and wake up tomorrow morning as the Manager of the same company, TURNING POINT!!!

WHEN DO YOU NEED A TURNING POINT??

• When Human's method is exhausted, so when it comes you wont think it's by your power. (Luke 5vs1-7, Peter, Jesus and the fishing experience).

• When labour has overtaken favour in your life, then you need a turning point in your life. Romans 9:14-16

• When you have resigned to destiny then you need a turning point in your life.

HOW DO WE ATTRACT TURNING POINT

• Always have a positive look

• Don't mistake your seed for your bread (What ever is your seed cannot sustain you, it's only your bread that can sustain you)

HOW TO KNOW THAT YOUR TURNING POINT HAS COME

√ When the rejected becomes the accepted

√ When the night suddenly gives way to the morning

√ When disobedience gives way to obedience (Matthew 6:33)

Seek ye first the kingdom of God and every other thing will be added unto you.
