REAL JOY IS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
ROMANS 14:17 (KJV,* GNB, CEV) For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. For God's Kingdom is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of the righteousness, peace, and joy which the Holy Spirit gives. God's kingdom isn't about eating and drinking. It is about pleasing God, about living in peace, and about true happiness. All this comes from the Holy Spirit.
Joy is a fruit of the Spirit and a major dimension of the Kingdom of God that the Holy Spirit produces in your life. The reason people thought the disciples were drunk in Acts chapter 2 was because of the amount of joy they were manifesting as they were declaring God’s word immediately after they had been baptized with the Spirit. The people were amazed for they heard them declaring the wonders of God in their different languages, (Acts 2:11-13). By the Spirit of God, you also will always have such joy that will amaze people and make them wonder and want to know why you are so joyful. Instead of being drunk with excess wine, be continually filled with the Holy Spirit, speaking to yourself, singing and making melody in your heart unto God, and giving thanks unto Him through our Lord Jesus Christ (Eph. 5:18-20).
I see the Holy Spirit granting you fresh revelations of God’s love, goodness and what Christ has done for you, such that your heart and life always filled with the joy of the Lord. By the Spirit, you will always see God, His Word and His promises bigger and nearer to you than any circumstance or situation. Remember that like a fruit, the seed of God’s joy is already in you. It is a part of your new nature in Christ. You just have to stir it up and let it grow; and this happens as you remain conscious of the Holy Spirit and allow Him to fill you and lead you.
PRAYER FOCUS:
PRAY IN THE SPIRIT RIGHT NOW AND RECEIVE A STIRRING OF THE JOY OF THE LORD IN YOU AS YOU FOCUS ON GOD'S LOVE, POWER, AND GOODNESS.
