🙏🏽 GOING HOME WITH THE BLESSING!

The service may be over, but the grace, joy and Word we received continue with us. ❤️

As we received the benediction, we were reminded that God’s presence does not end when we leave the church. He goes with us into the week ahead.

May His grace speak for us, His favour distinguish us, and His presence remain with us always.

Until we meet again, remain blessed! ❤️

THE WORD SESSION
Sis. Blessing Jackson

Topic: Empowered to demonstrate Christ' compassion
Bible Text: Acts 10:38

Compassion was not merely an emotion for Christ; it produced action. Every welfare
worker must cultivate this same Christ-like compassion.

What Is Christian Welfare?
Christian welfare is the ministry of meeting human needs through practical expressions of
God's love while directing people toward Christ. It involves caring for both physical and
spiritual needs. It means extending assistance without prejudice. It means becoming God's
instrument of encouragement, support, comfort, and hope. It means obeying the
instruction of Galatians 6:2: "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ."
The Welfare Ministry is therefore not simply a social activity; it is a Kingdom assignment.

Why the Welfare Ministry Is Important

1. It Reflects the Character of Christ
Jesus consistently demonstrated compassion toward people in need. Every act of kindness
performed in His name reflects His character to the world. Believers are called to follow
His example (1 Peter 2:21).

2. It Fulfils God's Command
Scripture repeatedly instructs believers to care for the needy. Proverbs 19:17 declares: "He
that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him
again." Christian care is not optional; it is an expression of obedience.

3. It Strengthens the Body of Christ
When believers care for one another, unity and fellowship become stronger. Acts 4:34-35
records that the early Church shared resources so that none among them lacked
necessities. Such love strengthened the Church and brought glory to God.

4. It Opens Doors for Evangelism
Practical acts of kindness often prepare hearts to receive the Gospel. Many people first
experience God's love through the caring actions of His children. Jesus frequently met
physical needs before addressing spiritual concerns.

5. It Brings Glory to God
Jesus taught: "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify
your Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16). Whenever believers care for others, God
receives the glory.
Who Should the Welfare Ministry Care For?

1. The Poor and Needy
Scripture places strong emphasis on caring for the poor (Deuteronomy 15:11; Proverbs
14:31). The Church should never ignore those facing genuine hardship.

TRADITIONAL SUNDAY WAS A VIBE!

Today’s service came with a beautiful blend of faith, culture, laughter and learning.

From the question-and-answer session to the fun challenge of interpreting English words and expressions in our different dialects, it was a beautiful reminder that while our languages and cultures may be different, we are one family in Christ. 🥰

The smiles, the answers, the little surprises and the beautiful display of our diverse cultures made today’s service one to remember. 💃🏽🕺🏽

Here are a few moments from today’s service. 📸✨

Different dialects. Different cultures. One faith. One family. One Christ. ❤️
