18TH AUGUST, 2026 || MIDWEEK SERVICE || WORD ENCOUNTER
MINISTERING: Bishop Senoh Praise
TOPIC: PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE
TEXT: Proverbs 21:5
Diligence and careful planning go hand in hand.
God can accelerate a man’s journey, but if you are not prepared for where you are going, that blessing might become bigger than your capacity.
Acceleration is not about moving fast but being ready for the opportunity.
Kingship does not just rest on a man; a man ought to prepare.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE FUTURE
1. Vision gives direction to preparation.
Take note of what you must stop doing and replace it with something possible.
Habakkuk 2:2
2. Prepare yourself before the opportunity arises.
- Build capacity.
- Opportunity does not create capacity; it reveals capacity.
Ecclesiastes 9:10
3. Develop yourself.
Improve your communication skills. Read, learn, ask questions, develop a skill, manage people well, learn to manage money, etc.
Proverbs 18:15
4. Build the right relationships.
Proverbs 13:20
Your future will be influenced by the people you associate with.
Some people are connected to your present, while others are connected to your future.
PERSONAL QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF
1. What should I learn?
2. What should I stop?
3. What should I start?
4. Who should I connect with?
5. What should I save?
Don’t consume everything God gives to you.
6. What should I improve on?
7. What should I pray about?
8. What opportunity am I preparing for?
The future belongs to those who prepare for it today.
Do not wait for the opportunity before you start preparing. Build your capacity, develop yourself, build the right relationships, and position yourself for what God is bringing your way.
