The theme “A Happy Home” speaks about God's desire for our homes to be places of love, peace, unity, growth, godly relationships, and joy.

A happy home is not necessarily a home without challenges; it is a home where God's presence, wisdom, and principles guide the people within it.

A happy home cannot be built on money, possessions, or physical comfort alone. Psalm 128 begins by describing the person who fears the Lord and walks in His ways. When God is at the centre of a family, His Word becomes the foundation for decisions, relationships, discipline, forgiveness, and love.

A happy home is not the responsibility of only the husband, wife, or parents. Every member of the family has a role to play.

A Happy Home” is therefore a call to build families according to God's pattern. It is a call for husbands and wives to rediscover love, for parents to intentionally raise godly children, for children to honour their parents, and for every member of the family to pursue peace and unity.

May our homes become places of peace, joy, fruitfulness, godliness, and lasting unity. May our marriages flourish, may our children grow like olive plants, and may every home experience the blessing described in Psalm 128.

It's easy to stray into frivolities and get overwhelmed by those things that are less important.

And once overwhelmed, it is possible to forget about or postpone things that are important to you or the kingdom of God.

Have you ever asked yourself; which of these is the most important among the array of responsibilities and needs?

There is a need for you to persistently call yourself to question on what is really important.

This will help you set your priorities.

It also helps you channel your energy and resources to something worthwhile.

Truly, many things are competing for your attention.

However, when you weigh those things-responsibilities, trips and commitments etc on the order of priorities, you will discover some things deserve prompt attention, while others can still wait.

Recalling today's scripture, the scribes that witnessed the healing of a man that was sick of palsy expected that healing that man of palsy was the topmost priority.

But surprisingly, to Jesus, forgiving the man's sins was more important.

When they accused Him of misplacement of priority, Jesus responded with a question as seen in today's anchor scripture; which of this man's problem do you think must be given priority-forgiveness of sin or healing of palsy?

Before you rush out of your home everyday, especially in the morning, make a list of all you want to accomplish for the day.

Ask yourself among all these, which of them deserves urgent attention?

Which of them has the most devastating effect if not attended to now?

Which of them has little or no devastating effect, if not attended to now?

Arrange them in order of priority based on the parameters highlighted earlier.

Go for the one that ranks first in order of priority.

This is one of the way life can be lived meaningfully.

From now, your life will assume meaning in Jesus name.

Wisdom is the discretionary use or application of knowledge for the greatest good.

A wise man is a generational asset; an unwise man is a generational liability.

Wisdom is a critical requirement for a comfortable and profitable life.

God's word says: wisdom is profitable to direct, which means life cannot be profitable without wisdom.

Whenever wisdom is lacking, losses abound.

It is the mystery behind outstanding results.

In every realm of life, it is the secret behind every exceptional result, be it spiritually or otherwise.

Ecclesiastes 8:1 says;...who is the wise man?

And who knoweth the interpretation of a thing?

A man's wisdom makes his face to shine and the boldness of his face shall be changed; can you see now?

Wisdom is the secret behind a person's shining.

It is therefore apparent that you need the wisdom of God to have an outstanding existence.

However, you can access this wisdom first, through the fear of God.

The fear of the Lord, therefore, is the fundamental requirement for accessing God's wisdom.

Where the fear of God is lacking, access to His wisdom is denied.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom- and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Develop a passionate desire for wisdom, if any man lacks wisdom let him ask...(James 1:5)

Read and digest God's word into your spirit.

Surround yourself with those that are wise, learn from them, ask them questions; in the process, you are learning.

May you not live the rest of your life in darkness and frustrations.

This is your season.

Keep shinning.

There are many secrets of abundance, but out of them all, there is one that looks abstract and thus, less utilized.

This is about embracing the spiritual equivalent of physical things.

This secret is often used by those that are spiritually inclined.

By spiritual equivalence, I mean what a thing can be or a better version of it, but which is not yet in the physical.

So, this ability to perceive and explore the spiritual equivalent of a thing is an awesome secret of abundance, invention, problem solving and innovation.

It is about perceiving where opportunities will be and running to meet it.

It is about seeing something beyond what is at the present, it's about seeing the big picture.

Mention any physical thing created, it exists both in the physical and in the spiritual realm or better still, it has both the physical and the spiritual dimension.

This is the spirit in the mind of the man Jesus described in Matthew 13:44–46.

Out of all those passing by the land, only this man saw the land in a different light and perspective.

The spiritual equivalent (the hidden treasure) of the land he saw prompted him to sell all that he had in order to purchase the land.

So, if you desire to maximize life, pray that God should sharpen your sense of spiritual perception.

Write nothing off out of emotion, talk and act in terms of what a thing can be rather than what it is at the moment.

Is any of your children acting funny?

Is your business or career going down?

Just name it.

Try to perceive it in the spirit; you will see the perfect version of it.

Today, the joy of the Lord is your strength.

You won't labour for another person to eat.

What is objection?

It simply means an expression of disagreement with something or someone on a particular situation.

It occurs when there is a conflict of interests or opinion.

People are not under any obligation to accept your ideas, suggestions and actions sheepishly except their lives are regimented.

A leader that is surrounded by 'yes men' will soon crash.

An effective leader listens to varying opinions of his followers and gather useful information from their objections.

Just like the Berian Christians, followers or listeners have the right to investigate whatever they hear and perhaps express their opinion if the prevailing atmosphere is enabling.

For instance, in the book of Acts chapter 6, the Jews listening to Jesus' sermon reacted to the statement that He made in verse 35;...I am the bread of life: whoever comes to me will never go hungry...”

They murmured and criticized it in verses 41 and 42, but Jesus explained.

Sometimes, objections could be out of inquisitiveness and may be motivated.

In addition, it could be that there is something not understood, something not believed or something someone is trying to cover up.

By and large, if you can be patient and gentle enough to hear people out, you will not diffuse the fury associated with such objections, it will give you some insights.

Wife can object her husband; employees can object their employers and so on.

Never evade or resent objections.

Be glad it is being voiced, it shows someone is listening.

Take the objections seriously.

Treat it with respect.

Take time to explain and at the end of it all, there will be mutual understanding.

Everywhere you go, people are silently reading your life before they listen to your words.

Your character introduces you before you even speak.

Good reputation is one of the greatest assets you can possess.

Skills may get you noticed, but character will keep you relevant.

Joseph was entrusted with Egypt because he remained faithful in slavery and prison.

Daniel became a ruler in Babylon because no fault or corruption could be found in him.

These remind us that God promotes people who can be trusted.

Many pray for open doors while neglecting the character required to sustain those opportunities.

Dishonesty, pride, bitterness, laziness, gossip, and broken promises can close doors that prayer has opened.

So, never sacrifice your integrity for temporary gain.

Besides, whatever you obtain through compromise will eventually become a burden.

People recommend those they trust.

Employers promote dependable workers.

Leaders entrust responsibilities to faithful people.

Friends introduce reliable people to opportunities.

More importantly, God commits greater assignments to those who prove faithful in little things.

The questions you must ask yourself are: are my words dependable?

Do I keep promises?

Am I truthful when no one is watching?

Do people associate my name with honesty, humility, and excellence?

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you mould your character daily into the image of Christ.

Your greatest advertisement is not what you say about yourself but what your life says about you.

Build a reputation that glorifies God, blesses humanity, and opens doors of divine favour.

God's clear instructions to the priests of Israel was that the sacred fire upon the altar must never be allowed to go out.

Day and night, it was to burn continually as a symbol of worship, consecration, and God's abiding presence among His people.

This instruction carries a profound spiritual lesson for believers today: our personal altar of prayer, devotion, and fellowship with God must never grow cold.

The altar represents our relationship with God.

It is the place of communion, surrender, sacrifice, and spiritual renewal.

Great men and women of faith in the scripture maintained vibrant altars.

Abraham built altars wherever God appeared to him.

Elijah repaired the broken altar before calling down fire from heaven.

The early disciples devoted themselves continually to prayer and the ministry of the Word.

The Devil, who is our arch enemy, understands the significance of the altar and seeks relentlessly to extinguish its fire.

He introduces distractions, busyness, discouragement, and spiritual fatigue to weaken a believer's connection with God.

However, just as the priests were responsible for maintaining the fire, every believer bears responsibility for nurturing his spiritual life through consistent prayer, Bible study, worship, fasting, and obedience.

A burning altar produces a vibrant spiritual life.

It keeps the heart sensitive to God's voice, strengthens faith during adversity, and sustains the believer through life's challenges.

More importantly, it creates an atmosphere where God's power and presence are experienced continually.

Examine the condition of your spiritual altar.

Has the fire diminished?

Have prayer and devotion become occasional?

God is calling you back to intimacy with Him.

The good news is that every cold altar can be rekindled through repentance, renewed commitment, and dependence upon the Holy Spirit.

May your altar never be abandoned, and may the fire of God's presence continually burn within your heart.

One of the most remarkable declarations of faith in Scripture is found in the response of the Shunammite woman.

Her son, the child God had miraculously given her, had just died.

Humanly speaking, she had every reason to weep, complain, and surrender to despair.

But when questioned about her situation, she confidently replied, “It shall be well.”

This was not a denial of reality.

She knew the gravity of her circumstances.

But her declaration was an expression of faith in God.

She refused to allow her present condition to dictate her confession.

Instead, she chose to trust God's power above her painful experience.

Faith acknowledges the problem but places greater emphasis on God's ability to resolve it.

The Shunammite woman understood that what God had started, He was able to sustain and restore.

The believer's journey is not the absence of difficulties; it is the confidence that God remains faithful in the midst of them.

There are seasons when situations appear contrary to God's promises, but we must know God is able to perfect all things.

It is at such moments that our faith should arise and then declare: “it is well”.

Faith-filled declarations are not mere positive thinking; they are expressions of confidence in God's character.

When we believe God's Word above our circumstances, we position ourselves to experience His intervention.

The woman who declared, “It shall be well,” eventually witnessed the resurrection of her son.

Her faith became the bridge between her crisis and her miracle.

Whatever challenge confronts you, stand firmly upon God's promises.

Declare His word and your expectations.

Remember, faith does not always explain how God will act, but it remains convinced that He will.

Keep your faith alive.
