TOPIC: DEALING WITH EXCUSES
Excuses is inability to do something or generally a failure. Dealing with excuses means two things:
1) How do you react when somebody makes excuses all the time?
2) How do you deal with it if you are the guilty one?
~ Is making excuses a new thing?
Making excuses isn't a new thing making excuses is as old as man. Example, when God asked Adam why he ate the forbidden fruit he said the woman you have me made me eat it.
~ Are some excuses potent enough to delay progress?
There is no excuse whatever that should stop progress.
Luke 14:20
~ Does it matter to give an excuse when it's the truth? Genesis 3:12.
No excuse no matter if it's the truth or what matters can stop progress.
~ Who are fonder of excuses? Everyone is guilty of excuses.
Exodus 32:24, 1 Samuel 13:12, 15:21.
~ Can we overcome excuses? Yes. Philippians 4:13.
Matthew 25:24-25.
WHY DO PEOPLE GIVE EXCUSES?
1) BECAUSE OF INFERIORITY COMPLEX Inferiority complex is about feeling disqualified and feeling unwanted or inadequate etc.
You must be bold enough. The moment you have self doubt nothing else can work. Self doubt is what the bible says if the fountain is faculty what can the righteous do.
The moment your foundation is not right, once you have self doubt even prayers cannot work. You even see answers to your prayers and still doubt. You feel nothing about you is good enough. No matter what you do don't condemn yourself, the moment you start condemning yourself every other thing will speak.
2) MEDIOCRITY Mediocrity means you are not good enough but you've gone to over stress yourself. Know yourself, know what you are competent at stay with it.
3) RESENTMENT
If someone works under you, the person can give excuse if you are not treating the person well.
4) ENVY
Genesis 37:11
5) GREED AND CORRUPTION
Greed means selfishness. Luke 14:18-19
6) COWARDICE, FEAR, LAZINESS. Proverb 22:13.
7) BELIEVE SYSTEM
Superstitions and what you have heard over time can make you give excuses.
CURE FOR EXCUSES
1) Understand that God hate excuses and that excuses only brings regret and failure.
2) Feed on the word. Philippians 2;8.
Always read the word of God and try to listen to good pastors who knows what there are saying.
3) Mental engineering. Romans 12:1
4) Stop the blame game. Romans 2:1.
5) Fear not, you can do all things.
