The Calabar District Youth Day Celebration was marked by rededication, impartation, and the commissioning of new kingdom leaders charged to lead with integrity and vision.


A charge on the theme *“Different Context, Same Aspiration”* informed the youths that our times may change, but our mission to win souls, build the Church, and raise uncompromising leaders remains.

There were varieties of activities such as songs, Practical Business Workshop, which reflected the unique theme Different contexts,Same Aspirations.

The youths were empowered and reminded that we are world-changers.

Can we sit for a moment and keep watch- not as soldiers but as believers ?

There is a lot of sitting in the passion story

Jesus sits at the table in Simon's house.

He sits with his disciples for Passover .

They sit with him as he prays in Gethsemane.

Peter sits with servants during Jesus trial.

Pilate sits in the judgement seat.

The soldiers sit, watching the crucified.

The women sit opposite the tomb.

In the midst of all this,Jesus States that he will be sitting at the right hand of the power,

Coming in clouds in glory.

Sitting is the posture of the master and students.

It is the posture of fellowship and authority.

The book of Mathew would have us sit still with the King, listening and learning.

This is the highlights of our Sabbath school lesson today!!

Dear Believers let us all return to sit at the feet of the master that we may find grace to grow.
