Holy Spirit Faithful Guide
Ever near the Christian side
Gently lead us by the hand
Pilgrims in a desert land
Weary Souls forever rejoice
While they hear that sweetest voice
Whispering softly "Wanderer come!!
Follow me, I will guide you home."

Ever present ,truest friend
Ever near thine aid to lend
Leave us not to doubt and fear,Groping on in darkness drear
When the storms are raging sore
Hearts grow faint and hopes give over
Whispering softly "Wanderer come!!!
Follow me I will guide you home."

When our days of tool shall cease
Waiting still for sweet release
Looking up to heaven in prayer
Joyful that our names are there
Fearing not the dismal flood
Pleading naught but Jesus Blood
Whispering softly "Wanderer come!!!
Follow Me I will guide you home"

🔥✨ CELEBRATING THE FEAST OF PENTECOST ✨🔥

Today, we celebrate the glorious Feast of Pentecost, a powerful reminder of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples, marking the birth of the Church and igniting a fire that still burns in believers today! 🔥🕊️

Pentecost is not just a celebration; it is a divine encounter.
It is the day fear turned into boldness, weakness became strength, and ordinary men were filled with extraordinary power from Heaven.

“Suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind…” Acts 2:2

As we celebrate this sacred feast, may the Holy Spirit fill every heart with:
✨ Fresh fire
✨ Divine wisdom
✨ Spiritual revival
✨ Peace and power to fulfill God’s purpose

May every dry bone rise again.
May every waiting soul receive fresh strength.
May every home overflow with joy, grace, and the presence of God.

🔥 Let the fire of Pentecost fall again!
🕊️ Let revival spread across nations!
🙌 Let every tongue declare the goodness of the Lord!

Happy Feast of Pentecost to you and your family.
May your life never remain the same!

The Origin of The Pentecost and The Outpouring of the Holy Spirit

Pentecost comes from the Greek word _pentēkostē_, meaning “fiftieth.” It was originally a Jewish festival called _Shavuot_ or the “Feast of Weeks.”

However after Our Lord Jesus Christ Resurrection from the dead . Before his Ascension he had commanded his disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the he Pouring Out of the Holy Spirit.

The day of Pentecost happened about 10 days after Jesus ascended to heaven. The disciples were gathered together in Jerusalem, as Jesus had instructed them to wait there.

Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them and they were filled with the Holy Spirit.

The Sign that accompanied them is that they began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

This "other tongue "wasn’t gibberish to the crowd as visitors from at least 15 regions heard the disciples speaking in their own native languages about “the wonders of God.”

The outpouring did 3 things ,it 👇:

📌- Empowered the disciples to speak boldly and perform signs

📌- Unified the people across language barriers to understand the message.

For Christians, Pentecost marks:
1) The birth of the Church: Peter preached that same day, and about 3,000 people believed and were baptized. The Spirit created a community, not just individual believers.

2)The fulfillment of prophecy: Joel 2:28-29 predicted God would “pour out my Spirit on all people” in the last days.

🌾 The Feast of Weeks / Feast of First Fruits – Shavuot 🌾

Shalom to all our followers, friends, and the general public. We invite you to join us this Friday as we mark the Feast of Weeks, one of the appointed feasts of the Lord.

What the Feast of Weeks Is
In Scripture it’s called the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of First Fruits. God commanded Israel to observe it 50 days after the Sabbath of Passover, at the end of the barley harvest and the beginning of the wheat harvest. Leviticus 23:15–16

It was a day of holy convocation – a sacred assembly with no ordinary work. The people brought the first fruits of their harvest as an offering of thanksgiving to the Lord.Leviticus 23:21

How It Was Celebrated

1. Offering of the First Fruits: Two loaves of bread made from the new grain were waved before the Lord as a thanksgiving offering. Leviticus 23:17

2. Sacrifices and Worship: Peace offerings, burnt offerings, and sin offerings were presented in gratitude. Leviticus 23:19

3. Joy and Generosity: The people rejoiced and were commanded to leave part of the harvest for the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow.Deuteronomy 16:11; Leviticus 23:22

Its Meaning for Us Today

The feast reminds us that every good harvest comes from God. It calls us to honor Him with the first and best of what He has given us. Proverbs 3:9

For believers, Shavuot also marks the day the Holy Spirit was poured out in Acts 2. The “first fruits” of the Spirit were given, and the Church was born.Acts 2:1; 1 Corinthians 15:20

It’s a reminder that God still provides, empowers, and gathers His people.

We warmly invite all followers, friends, and the general public to mark this feast with us this Friday, 22nd May 2026. Join any branch church within the Akwa-Cross Conference for worship, thanksgiving, and reflection on God’s faithfulness.

Let’s come together to give God thanks for His provision and to dedicate the first fruits of our lives back to Him. Deuteronomy 16:16

May this feast fill your heart with gratitude and joy.
