Leadership development with Pst Angel Whyte City Ikot Ekpene

You want to become a leader, such that when equals gather, you get singled out, you need to be processed in training. Dominion City is place where leaders are trained. There is a huge difference between a live chicken and the cooked one. You can't eat live chicken, but after processing, everybody wants it. That is what Dominion City will do to you, once you submit to training, after you are processed, everybody wants you.

It's left for you to submit to training, to be processed. Jesus told Peter;
Luke.5.10 And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.

Peter was well groomed such that he stood out from all the other disciples.

One of the ways you know a leader is that A LEADER LOVES HIS MASTER.

John.18.10 Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.

When they came to arrest Jesus, it's Peter that acted to defend his master. Peter was not targeting Malchus ear, he was targeting his head, because they came to touch his Pastor.

Christians of this days don't have heart to take risk. They would rather watch than defend if the leader/pastor was attacked.

Matt.14.26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

Matt.14.27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

When they saw Jesus walk on the sea, it was still one man that is always ready to take risk. At times he acts before thinking. This is how we are supposed to follow Jesus. See what Peter did;

Matt.14.28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

A LEADER TAKES RISK. Peter could take the kind of risk no other person was ready for, and Jesus loves such people.

Matt.14.29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

Immediately Jesus said come, Peter had jumped into the water towards Jesus. We was not just walking on water, he was walking on the words of Jesus. When he saw the raging storms, he removed his eyes from Jesus and started sinking. This is why the scriptures cautions us to keep our focus on Jesus. (Hebrewd 12:2).

One other time, when Jesus asked his disciples;
Matt.16.15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

God opened Peter's eyes;
Matt.16.16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Matt.16.17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Why is it that God always revealed something to Peter?

When Jesus resurrected and saw Mary Magdalene, he sent a special message to Peter;

Mark.16.7 But go your way, tell *his disciples and Peter* that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

He singled Peter out of the rest. There is something about Peter. On the side of men, he singled Peter out. On the side of women, he singled Mary Magdalene out.

When the news got to the apostles that Jesus body was not in the tomb, John got there ahead of Peter but did not enter, but Peter entered. Peter does not have fear.

The book of acts is not yet concluded. What will you do to get your name included in it. How can you leave this world and go and your name won't be included in the Holy Scripture. Why are you ok with ordinary life? How can the zone you are in not know you exist? Peter carefully imprinted his name in the scriptures.

Many of us are not active in the Church and it's the same careless attitude we show in our families. That is why you are not the leader there. You are not involved in the decision making. After decisions are taken, you just get to hear the out come. How does your family see you? A leader or a parasite?

What is your value in your family? What is your value in the kingdom? You have not decided to stand out. You still have a slavery mentality.

It's enough for the Kingdom to minister for you first, after a while, you single yourself out and handle responsibilities. This is how the leadership quality in you comes out.

It's during your processing that your excesses gets severed.

A LEADER IS A GIVER
A leader provides solutions to problems. Just like in the family, when an issue comes up, you want your daddy to solve all the problems. You can contribute to the welfare of the family. This makes you stand out from the rest of the children.

When your parents see you only as a receptor, they may never reveal the shares of the family to you because they see you as a child. Bring ideas and solutions to the table, it's a show of maturity.

Peter and the rest of the women singled out (luke 8:1) where solving problems. The scriptures only includes your name if you are; creating problems or solving problems. Ahab and Jezebel were creating problems, but men like Peter create solutions.

Don't shift the blame for your failures. You are responsible for your future.

The real inheritance is inside you, after you are processed, you impact your world easily. In the kingdom, leadership is given because you are worthy for it. God will have to test your heart before handing anything to you.

1Sam.16.5 And he said, Peaceably: I am come to sacrifice unto the LORD: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.

1Sam.16.6 And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD'S anointed is before him.

1Sam.16.7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

1Sam.16.8 Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.

1Sam.16.9 Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.

1Sam.16.10 Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The LORD hath not chosen these.

All of Davids brothers were not qualified for leadership.

God can spend years training you and test you in seconds. God was watching David when he killed a lion and a bear to protect the sheep. Leadership is not an age issue, it's a work of the heart.

1Sam.16.11 And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.

1Sam.16.12 And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.

How can David be the youngest and is ruling the rest? David was just 17 years. What can you offer to your generation? Micheal Faraday invented electricity for those going to school mean while he was not a student.

A LEADER LOVES AND PRAYS FOR HIS ENEMIES
Luke.6.35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

This is how God sees a leader. God sends light and rain on both the good and bad. You should have that same mindset. Think of rendering service to others.

A LEADER IS A SERVANT
Matt.20.28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Prayer;
"Lord have mercy on me, circumcise my heart. Please remove the impurities in my heart (greed, wickedness, bitterness etc.) Perform surgery in me and make me a better person. Help me to know you. Take me deeper, I don't want to be an ordinary person. Change my life."

Ps.121.1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

Ps.121.2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

Who needs help from the Lord? You know there is an issue you want God to solve. Lift up your voice and begin by blessing the name of the Lord, then ask the Lord to help you for the remaining 6 months of the year, whatsoever the problem might be.

Vs 2; help comes from God. Talk to him about your needs. Ask the Lord for favour. Ask him to show you mercy.

Prov.16.3 - Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

Prov.3.5 - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto own understanding.

Commit your ways to God and ask him to help you. You can't struggle again the remaining half of this year.
Pray for your family. Ask God to show them mercy.

Pray for your department/School, (Uniuyo, Akwa Poly and Foundation Poly); we don't want to lose any student. Prayer averts evil, if you don't pray, something bad may happen.

Isreal counted the numbers and none was lost;
Num.31.49 And they said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war which are under our charge, and there lacketh not one man of us.

No one will be lost to accident, no casualty.
Isa.26.3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Ps.91.11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Ask the Lord to send his Angels to protect you throughout this season.

2Cor.2.11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Ask the Lord to keep you from all the devices of the enemy.

Bitterness 2Cor.2.10 To whom ye forgive
any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;

Bitternes is one of the devices that brings death your way. It does not matter what the person did; forgive the person.

Isa.54.15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.

Ask the Lord to scatter those that gather against you this season.

Isa.54.16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

The waster is the Spirit of Death. His assignment is to kill.

Rev.6.8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Death is a person. But don't be afraid of him, for Jesus has conquered them; Death and Hell.

Rev.1.18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

This keys are authority and Jesus left it on earth with the Church before returning to Heaven. He said;

Matt.16.19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Open your mouth and bind the Spirit of death.

Isa.54.17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Before anyone is eliminated, the person is judged in the Spirit and condemned. You counter this by praying the scriptures. The Scripture said, "No weapon", meaning none can rise against you and succeed.

2Tim.1.7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

See yourself in the light of the scriptures. We have sound mind. Lay your hand on the head and command every confusion that makes you study and not understand seize. Ask the Lord to arrange your mind.

At times its the things we did that blocks our understanding. See what the scriptures says;

Prov.6.32 But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.

After meddling with immorality, you lose your understanding. And adultery begins from the heart. Once you start dangling into it, you become foolish. See what Jesus said;

Matt.5.28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Once you start meddling with sexual sin(ma********on, homosexuality, fornication, adultery etc), you start becoming dull. You can no longer handle wisdom.

Fornication hurts your own soul. The scriptures said;

1Cor.6.18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

Ps.119.99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

The secret is the word of God. Spend time with the word of God.

Isa.11.2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

Ask the Lord to give you his seven Spirit. It separates students. See the effect;

Isa.11.3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

It makes you sharp in understanding.
All the scientific inventions, you won't find anything a killer, fornicator, le***an etc created.

Ps.19.7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Ps.19.8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

The word of God cleanses both physical and Spiritual blindness. Spend time reading it.

Ps.19.9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

Put your hand on your head and ask the Lord to format every negative files from your mind. Ask him to give you his Seven Spirit; Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Might, Knowledge, Fear of the Lord.

The greatest thing that God did for is to be a father to us. Many of us only know him as God and not as father. The book of John makes us see God as a father, and a loving one.

A father is a progenitor, source, sustainer etc. The scriptures makes it clear that there is only ONE father, not TWO. The one at home is your daddy.

1Cor.8.6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

Eph.4.6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

The same way the features of an earthly father is resident in the children, that is how the features of God is resident in his children. How you recognise God's children is through their character.

Some of the characters of God;
1.) The Lord is good
God does not have goodness, he is good.

Ps.34.8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

Ps.143.10 Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

If God is your father, you must look like him. Just like a goat only gives birth to a goat and not a dog, you that is God's child must be like God. Since God is good, you too must be good. How can you be a wicked person and claim to be God's child?

Gal.6.10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Goodness is not a title, it's an attitude. If you are good, show by your works. It is not transaction; ie you helping someone because you know he will pay you back. It's doing good to someone you know cannot pay back.

God is so good that he sends rain to both the good and evil. That is why the scriptures has commanded us 'to do good unto all men'.

2.) God is Gracious
Ps.145.8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy

Grace means undeserved favour, ie an unmerited favour.

Exod.22.27 For that is his covering only, it is his raiment for his skin: wherein shall he sleep? and it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that I will hear; for I am gracious.

Jonah.4.2 And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.

1Pet.2.3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

God is slow to Anger, but this does not mean that God is slack, its just that he is full of mercy and graciousness, that he gives people time to repent. Once God gets angry, a great calamity starts. David disobeyed God's instructions that he should not conduct census in Isreal, before David knew what was happening, about 70,000 people have died. (1 Chronicles 21:1-30).

This is why God is gracious and merciful. He takes time before getting angry, with the hope that we would repent from our wicked ways.

3.) The LORD is righteous
Ps.145.17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

Deut.32.4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he

Ps.19.8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Hos.14.9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.

God is always right in all he does. He is perfect and never makes a mistake. There is no time you will ever find God make a mistake. As his children, we are called to be just as he is.

1Pet.1.16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

4.) God is merciful
Luke.6.36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Joel.2.13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

Exod.34.6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth

5.) The LORD is faithful
Rev.19.11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Isa.49.7 Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.

1Cor.1.9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

1Thess.5.24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

2Thess.3.3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

Once God says something, he is committed to do that thing. You can never find God fail in what he said he will do. He is not double minded. The character of promise and fail is not of God. Check well, the last promise you made, you did not fulfill it. Why make promises you can't keep to? This is not the character of God, for God cannot lie.

Heb.6.18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

This are some of the characters that makes God who he is, and if you are his child, this same characters must flow through you.

Prayer;
"Lord Jesus, please have mercy on me for not leaving like your child. I have not had mercy on people, nor show goodness, graciousness and Faithfulness. Please wash me with your precious blood and make me clean. Help me to manifest this characters of God in Jesus name. Amen

We are in perilous times where the faith of many will be tried greatly. Let sufferings or pleasure not make you abandon your faith.
Whatever you do, make sure that you will end up in Heaven.

All the sufferings of the whole world cannot be compared to the Joy a single saint will have when he makes Heaven; nothing in this world can ever be compared to that Joy.

That's why they scriptures says;
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us

Romans 8:18

The truth is that one way or the other, somebody must die; if not accident, by sickness or murder etc. The most important thing is for you to die for a worthy course; die for Christ. If it boils down to a point were you have to lay down your life for the faith, make sure to do so gladly. 5 minutes after your death, you will be with Jesus and every sorrow will be wiped forever. That's not an experience you would want to miss; so strife to wear that white garment.

Heaven is a place of everlasting Joy, were even the colours are alive and flowers can sing. A perfect place. Our problem over here on Earth is blindness. We think we can derive Joy on Earth; that's why some choose to denounce Christ and remain on the earth. We are only pilgrims here, for we are not of this world.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

1 John 3:2

No one has ever seen what God looks like, but the promise is to us, for we shall see him the way he is.

That's an experience you shouldn't miss because we shall also be changed to be like him.

Don't let ma********on, lies, stealing etc, keep you from such an experience.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us

Hebrews 12:1

Almost everything we fight for in this life is how to take care of our body. You bathe it daily, yet it refuses to be clean. The body we posses is actually a limitation/a burden. 5 minutes after your death, you find yourself wearing that glorious white just like Jesus.

Your eyes should be on the martyr's crown. If it means to lay down your life for the gospel, do it with faith and not with fear. Stephen died with so much faith. He defended the faith till his last breathe before going into glory. Don't die being afraid, for just in a couple of minutes, you will be with the Lord, and you will be comforted forever. it's the reason why Paul said;

For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better.

Philippians 1:21

During Paul's journey to Jerusalem, the very place he knew he would be arrested and executed.
Even when the Church tried to stop his journey to Jerusalem, he said;

But he said, "why all this weeping? You are breaking my heart! I am ready not only to be jailed at Jerusalem but even to die for the sake of he Lord Jesus".

Acts 21:13

To die for Christ is glorious. Death is actually not as painful as we suppose. Once your Spirit leaves the body, pain is gone and Joy follows.

Jesus said;
"Dear friends, don't be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot do any more to you after that. But I'll tell you whom to fear. Fear God, who has the power to kill you and then throw you into Hell. Yes, he is the one to fear".

Luke 12:4-5

Prayer;
"Lord have mercy on me for leaving in fear of death. Forgive me for those things I do that does not please you. Please wash me with your precious blood. Remove the blindness and reveal eternity to me in a way have never known in Jesus name. Amen

The only way we will change this country is by embracing God.

John.1.1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John.1.2 - The same was in the beginning with God.
John.1.3 - All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

John.1.4 - In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
The light used here means 'civilization'; ie people's eyes opening to inventions and breakthroughs. All the major inventions in the world were done by believers.

Thomas Edison invented the light bulb

The list goes on and on.....

You won't see any major thing an unbeliever invented; you can't be a terrorist or a cultist and expect your mind to be fruitful. You keep living in sin, the faculty of understanding gets blocked.

Even in school, no thief, nor pr******te, nor cultist, can beat other students in understanding. Their understanding is blocked, which is why they depend on cheating or sorting to pass exams.

You cannot steal someone's pen or books in school and expect to pass, you will be frustrated.

See what the Bible says;
Eph.4.28 - Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

You don't have something, let your option not be to steal, instead the Bible recommends you work to get it so you may even have to give those in need.

The spirit behind stealing is the Devil. His mission is to take you to Hell. And if you are stealing, your father is the thief

John.10.10 - The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Satan's mission is destruction. He pushes you to steal but his major focus is to take you to Hell. Satan kept on pushing Judas to steal money from the offering basket;

John.12.3 - Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
John.12.4 - Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him,
John.12.5 - Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
John.12.6 - This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a THIEF, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

Satan kept on pushing Judas to steal until the day Satan fully possessed Judas and finally used him to take the life of Jesus.

John.13.26 - Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
John.13.27 - And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.

Satan was not just after killing Jesus, he also wanted to take Judas as well. Judas ended up dieing before Jesus and went to Hell.

If you are engaged in cultism, stealing and other vices, know that Satan can't give you peace and protection, he actually wants you in Hell. Examine for yourself; what is the gain of wasting your future in Cultism and then Satan finally takes you out like a Chicken.

The only safety point is JESUS.

Cultism is not a family or a place of safety. That is why God has offered you a better family; the Church.

Be very careful the people you keep as friends. The Bible said;
1Cor.15.33 - Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

Cut off from friends that do not impact your life positively. Certainly don't have an immoral person, nor thief, nor drunkard as your friend. They will pollute you and you will end up just like them. The end product of all this vices is to pull you to Hell; the scripture says

1Cor.6.9 Don't you know that those who do wrong will have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, who are idol worshipers, adulterers, male pr******tes, homosexuals,
1Cor.6.10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

We certainly cannot change this nation by indulging in such. That is why the mindset change must begin with us. Whatever name you may call it; achieve, tapping, pam... stealing is stealing and such does not have a place in God's kingdom.

Prayer;
"Lord I'm very sorry for living a life of sin. Please have mercy on me and wash me clean by your blood. I repent of all my sins and denounce every covenant I have with Satan. Please come into my life afresh Jesus, be my personal Lord and Saviour in Jesus name. Amen"
