CAN GOD BOAST OF YOU?

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: GENESIS 18:19(KJV)

"For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment, that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he has spoken of him”,

MEMORY VERSE: JOB 1:8

ABRAHAM and Job were mortal men like you and I. There were wickedness and evil practices in their days, but they determined to stand for God and also brought up their children in the ways of the LORD. The question is can God boast of you the way he boasted of these two men? Listen to what He said to Satan concerning Job in our today's memory verse “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him: he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil? God granted Satan the permission to tempt job. Satan did all he could, but Job remained faithful to God. He refused to judge God unrighteous. He did not let God down, rather he maintained his integrity towards God.

Many today that claim to be children of God cannot maintain their integrity whenever they see money. Some find it difficult to stand for God whenever they are under pressure. Make up your mind to stand for God no matter what others are doing. God decided not to hide from Abraham what he (God) was going down to S***m and Gomorrah to do because He judged Abraham faithful, God never doubted the integrity of Abraham, can God make the same statement he made on Abraham in our focal scripture or the one he made on Job in our memory verse about you today? It pays to maintain a life of integrity. Abraham became a blessing because of his life of integrity. Job had double of all that he lost restored to him because he stood for God despite his numerous afflictions .Determine to stand for God no matters the circumstances.

PROPHETIC PRAYER:
-O LORD, give me the grace to live a life of integrity in Jesus’ Name.
-LORD ,make me a salt and a light to people around me in Jesus’ Name.

GUARD YOUR MOUTH

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 12:37 (KJV)

"For by thy words, thou shall be justified, and by thy words thou shah be condemned”.

MEMORY VERSE: JAMES 3:2

YOU must not utter everything that comes to your mind. You must do your best to guard your mouth. Be mindful of what comes out of your mouth. Our today's memory verse says that if anyone offends not in what he says, he is a perfect man. You must learn when to keep quiet and also when to talk. Do you know that many have lost their blessings because of their inability to keep quiet? While some have had their bosom friends walk away from them because they cannot be trusted with matters. If you are the type that cannot be trusted with confidential matters then you have a big problem because God and men cannot trust you if you in the habit of talking too much.

Do you know that Samson wouldn’t have died the way he did if he didn't disclose the vital information about his life to Delilah. God is the only One that searches your heart, He is the only omniscient. Satan only know about a matter when you speak it out. If you want to cut the devil out of some matters in your life, keep them to yourself until they are matured. Rehab would have been a victim of the destruction that befell Jericho if she didn't know how to guard her month. But her ability to conceal the mission of the spies that came from the camp of Isreal to spy the land of Jericho brought safety to her and her family members.

That someone is your friend does not mean the person should know everything about you. Child of God, learn how to keep tight lips on some issues. God spoke through James in James 1:19 saying “Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak”. Even when you are annoyed, be very careful with what comes out of your mouth even at that moment because by your words, you shall be justified and by your words you shall be condemned.

PROPHETIC PRAYERS:
-Every negative words I spoke in the past that is chasing good things away from me, I revoke them@ today in Jesus’ Name.
-LORD give me the wisdom to know when to talk and when to keep quiet in Jesus’ Name.

MAKE CHRIST YOUR ROLE MODEL

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: PHILIPPIANS 2:5 (NIV)

“Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus”.

MEMORY VERSE: I PETER 2:21

ONE of the reasons why Christ came is to show us the attitude and lifestyle that pleases the father. For anyone to be a child of God indeed, the person’s attitude must be the same as that of Christ. The bible speaking in Hebrew 12:2 says “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith”. Anyone that wants to be joint heir with Christ, the person must be like Christ He must emulate the obedience of Christ The Bible did not say that we should make a mortal man our role model, rather we should look unto Jesus and follow His examplary life. Beloved, examine yourself on a1
daily basis, is your life reflecting the life of Christ? Does your lifestyle conform to that of Christ? Do you look and dress like a Christian, but inwardly you are something else?

Christianity is not just a religion but a way of life. Are you still living in disobedience, Apostle Paul speaking in Ephesians 4:20 says “You, however did not come to know Christ that way. Before you do or say anything, first ask yourself what Christ will do or say if He is to be in the same situation.

The disciples of Christ were first called Christians in Antioch because their lifestyle were like that of Christ, Christ was their role model. Are you still living in pride, you did not learn it from Christ. Though He was God but He took on the nature of man. Whatever possession you acquire on earth, learn to imitate the humility of Christ. Are you living in malice, envy, covetousness, grudge, unforgiveness, adultery and other sins, you are not following the footsteps of Christ, the lifestyle of Christ are all written in the Bible. Making Christ your role model makes you a holy vessel and no demon can oppress you and get away from it freely.Shalom

PROPHETIC PRAYER:
LORD, always help me to emulate Christ

BEWARE OF UNGODLY FRIENDS

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: 2 CORINTHIANS 6:14-15

"Do not be yoked together with unbelievers for what do righteousness and wickedness have-in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is their between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?

MEMORY VERSE: PSALMS 1:1

God is so good, He gives us guidelines, He does not leave us without direction. The Word of God covers every single aspect of our lives. Our relationships and the type of people we call our friends are very important to God because you are influenced, affected and infected by your friends. The adage that says “show me your friends and I will tell you the type of person you are” is so true because when you spend time with people long enough, you begin to take on their kind of thoughts and behaviour. Our memory verse says that “blessed is the man who does not WALK in the counsel of the wicked, or STAND in the way of sinners, or SIT in the seat of mockers. That means that you should not Walk, stand or sit with ungodly people. That they were your class mate or colleague in your place of work does not mean they should be your friends.

Someone might be saying “I am keeping ungodly friends in order to influence ' them for Christ”. That can only work when the person shows the willingness to be influenced, not people who are not interested in changing. Run away from friends who always want to convince you into sin. Avoid people who are not under the Lordship of Christ. Amnon ended up ra**ng his own sister Tamar as a result of an advice from his ungodly friend Jonadab (2 Samuel 13). He who walks with the wise men shall be wise, but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. Evaluate your friends today. It is far better to be alone than to be in the company of ungodly men because they might deprive you of God’s blessings and make you to be far from God’s Presence. Be wise.

PROPHETIC PRAYER:
LORD, help me to choose the right people as friends,in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Take a step today, disconnect yourself from every ungodly friend.

DON’T TAKE ANYONE FOR GRANTED… PT 1

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: I SAMUEL 30:11-12 (NIV)

"They found an Egyptian in a field and brought him to David. They gave him water to drink and food to eat... He ate and was revived, for he had not eaten any food or drunk any water for three days and three nights”.

MEMORY VERSE: I SAMUEL 22:2

ONE of the reasons why David succeeded was because he never took anyone for granted. He refused to look down on anyone no matter their social status. From our today's memory verse, David accommodated the men that were distressed, those that were in debt, and everyone that was discontented. In order words, David was the one protecting and providing for these men. Though these men were rejected by the society, yet David did not look down on them. These men latter became parts of David’s mighty men in 2 Samuel 23:8-38. They were the same people that helped David in the numerous battles that he fought.

Many people today have missed their destiny helpers; and some missed their partners because they despised them when they showed up; probably because of the way they dressed. God does not always show up in a costly apparel, if you are in habit of looking down on people that do not measure up to you expectation, you may also despise God when He shows up to you. Those on the left hand side of the King in Matthew 25:41 were banished to eternal fire originally prepared for Satan and his angels because they despised the less privileged. You know yourself better than anyone else. Are you in the habit of looking down on people who do not measure up to your standard? Repent today. Do not allow pride to cause you to reject those that God has brought or is bringing your way to help you. Remember that the spirit of pride is not from God rather from the devil himself. Determine today to treat people you come across with respect.

PROPHETIC PRAYER:
Father, let every opportunity that I have lost be restored in Jesus’ Name.
In any way I have treated people with disrespect, Father forgive me in Jesus’ Name.

DO YOU HAVE AN IDOL?

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: I JOHN 5:21 (KJV)

"Little children, keep yourselves from idols, Amen”.

MEMORY VERSE: REVELATION 9:20

JESUS IS LORD, if you believe that and you know it say Amen! Our God is the one that owns and controls the universe and if there is anything that He wants from you; it is your unalloyed commitment and dedication to Him. God wants to be at the center of your life, He wants you to tell Him that project before you carry it out, He wants you to tell Him about that fellow that is asking for your hand in marriage before you say yes, (not saying yes and you come and tell Him to sanction it) .

Our God is not a time waster and He is not a talkative and whenever He wants to communicate principles to you, He sends His word, I believe today’s word is a timely one; and the topic again says Do you have an Idol? What is an idol? An Idol is a graven image or representation of anything that is revered (something that is respected or given reverence to) so better put, an idol is anything you respect and love so much to the point of allowing it to influence you.

What Idol have you set in your heart (life)? An Idol is what you give most time (attention) to; so if God is your Idol, you MUST LOVE HIM to the point of spending hours with Him without feeling it. It is sad to know that there are many Christians today that have made material possession their Idol because they spend so much time giving it attention (they spend hours dressing and looking at themselves in the mirror). To some, they worship their cars more than anything. If you can’t spend good time studying God’s word and praying, then know that you don’t respect God. If you spend much more on yourself but give God peanuts then your loyalty to Him is in doubt. When you wake up in the morning and you find it difficult to pray and worship before you go to work or your business, then, your business and work is your Idol. Make up your mind to discard anything that takes more of your time than God. Peace.

PROPHETIC PRAYER:
Father, I repent in any way I have welcome Idolatry in my life, in Jesus’ Name.

SET YOUR HEART ON GOD

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: I CHRONICLES 20:19 (kjv)

“Set your heart and soul to seek the LORD your God; arise therefore and build...

MEMORY VERSE: COLOSSIANS 3:2

WELCOME to today’s devotional encounter with the God whose desire is for you and I to set our hearts, affection, and our everything on Him, yes; even your plans, so that He will bring it to pass (Proverbs 16:3). Many great men and women of the scripture were people that had God in mind and all they did was just to give glory to God because they loved Him. Our today's Focal Scripture narrates to us the fatherly advice that King David gave his son Solomon; the wonders King David did, great exploit are all remembered in Israel. Another man that had his mind set on God was Daniel, in Daniel 1:8 He refused to defile himself and when a law was passed in the land that no one should pray to anyone expect to King Darius, else, he shall be cast into the den of Lions (Daniel 6:6-10), because Daniel’s heart was set on God, when the hour of prayer came, he opened his windows toward Jerusalem, the meaning of that is: no matter the pressure I will still call on the Name of God who is worthy to be praised. Where you set your heart determines what becomes of you in life. David and Daniel weren’t destroyed because of where there heart was.

Do you know that you can go to church every Sunday, pay your tithe and give your offering and still your heart is not on God? Matthew 6:19-21 shows to us also where we shout set our heart on. Do you know that when your heart is on God, no matter the pressure you would look at that problem in the face like the three Hebrew boys in Daniel 3 and tell them (it) that no matter the danger ahead, no matter the economic meltdown, no matter the pain in the body and the emptiness of your pocket you will not succumb to pressure and shift your heart (affection) out from Jehovah. Beloved, no matter how 2026 has been, set your heart on God, because God is faithful, He will come through for you if you fail not. Still set your heart on your dreams and visions. God will bring it to pass (Proverbs 16:3)

PROPHETIC PRAYER:
Father, uphold me to the end, let me not wander out of Your plan for me, in Jesus’ Name.

CHANGE THE WAY YOU SEE YOURSELF

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: I PETER 2:9 (TLB)

But you are not like that, for you have been chosen by God Himself -you are priests of the king, your holy and pure, you are God's very own - all this so that you may show to others how God called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

MEMORY VERSE: 1 JOHN 4:4

How and what you see about yourself determines how far you will go in life. I want you to know that daily the enemy (Satan) paints a bad and negative picture of who you really are in your mind. He shows you the premature death and negative family pattern, those that died of infirmity that you may be suffering; he makes you believe that no matter the kind of thing(s) you do, you can’t succeed in life; but that devil is a confirmed bastard; yes. That is why in Romans 12:2. We are told to renew our mind (heart) daily with God’s word in order not to end as "nonentities" but as “Somentities”?

WHO THEN ARE YOU?

-You are not a demon carrier: Our memory verse says greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world; many people claim that they are demon possessed and some pastors who don’t know the word of God will ask them to confess negative things about themselves ,so no matter what you go through refuse to allow anyone (in the name of a prophet) to subject you to a demon possessed person. I believe in telling you who you are in Christ and that will make you chase every demon out. You are God's building. I Corinthians 3:9 says “You are God’s building” God’s house, it means that anything in you that is not God’s (cancer, diabetes, ulcer, HIV etc) should be chase out I Corinthians 3:16-17.

Beloved, you are not a failure, but you are a miracle going somewhere to happen; you are Royalty, you are a peculiar person; yes, your kind is not in the earth, walk with this mindset and refuse to be less. God bless you.

Father, help me to always see myself as you have made me, in Jesus' Name.

THE PRICE OF SIN IS TILL DEATH

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: ROMANS 6:23 (KJV)

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD.

MEMORY VERSE: HEBREWS 12:1

BELIEVE the reason the Bible was written, is for us to know the will (the mind of God) so that we will not become God’s enemy. At creation God so designed it that man will live and be sickness and death free ,but immediately man allow the enemy (Satan) to dictate for him, he lost the garden. Beloved never underestimate the power of sin, sin is the injector of death, that means sin brings about death in 1 Corinthians 15:56, the Bible says that “The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the Law”.

Sin is what opens the door for premature death, sickness and attacks, understand me, I am not saying that every sickness or spiritual attacks many people go through is caused by immoral lifestyles. Thank God for HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases that is tormenting those that are servants to sin (Romans 6:16) I listened to a man of God preach and he said that believing in Jesus is what give you the ticket to heaven regardless of the negative things you do (that is fallacy).

Beloved the price of Rice, Beans, Clothes even landed properties may fall or rise but the price of sin is fixed, it can’t change; it is still death; yes; sin is a killer (James 1:15), no matter how small it is. Sin is sin and it does not often kill drastically but subtly ,gradually and surely. Beloved sin kills spiritually by disconnecting you from the Presence of God both now and in eternity, it also kills the physical by tormenting the sinner’s body. Samson didn’t recover from the consequences of his immoral life, he died with his enemies, King Saul’s disobedience made him a cast away before God. Child of God, never play with sin, you might not see the consequences now, that doesn’t mean you are free, repent today and refuse to play with it. The price of sin doesn’t decrease, it is still DEATH

PROPHETIC PRAYER:
Repent now of any secret or open sin, you know you are involved in.
I refuse to bow to the pressure of sin, in Jesus’ Name.

GIVE IT TO JESUS TO MULTIPLY

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: LUKE 9:16-17 (KJV)

“Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. And they did eat, and were all filled and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets. ”

MEMORY VERSE: ROMANS 8:32

So many believers believe in God but only few believe God. What do I mean? What makes you a believer is because you believe in God or anything you have taken as a god. They believe in God and yet doubt the authenticity of God's Word. These are people when they pray, they quote Scriptures for God to heal them and after sometime you hear them complain that this "their" sickness doesn't want to go, they claim and call it their sickness . But those that believe God are those that hold tenaciously to the Word of God, they are not discouraged at all even when they haven't seen any result or get answers to their prayer, they don't have any reason to doubt the Word of God.

Beloved, the reason God is the Almighty is because, he doesn't depend on anyone to supply to Him, and the reason He is the most High is so that everyone will look up to Him. When you hand over your resources to the Almighty God, you are sure of inexhaustible resources. Dependence on God only makes you a generational envy. A day came in Jesus' crusade ground that held in the wilderness where no food was, he needed to feed the multitude, and there was a boy with only five loaves of bread and two fishes, because it was given to Jesus, it was multiplied and there were fragments. The five loaves and the two small fishes in the hands of Jesus was more than enough to feed the people.

The reason you are still struggling with that project, is because you have not handed it over to Jesus, what is in your hands can't be enough for you, give it to God to multiply it for you, it is limited when you are still handling your resource, but give it Jesus you are sure of unlimited supplies. Your challenges, worries, failure, disappointment, lack in your hands will multiply sorrow and frustration to you; but if it is in God's hand you are sure of an endless peace and joy.

PROPHETIC PRAYER:
Today, LORD, I hand over my worries, resources and anything giving me concern to You, make me what You want me to be, in Jesus’ Name.
