If you are going through a hard time, read the following advice.
Difficult periods are part of life. They're seasonal. Though some difficult times last so long , while some are transient. But no matter the length of it, it's not the final chapter of your life.
In case you are in your wrong seasons now like; financial struggles, disappointment, rejection, loneliness, family challenges, broken relationships, unanswered prayers, failed plans, and uncertainty about your life. Please, be reminded that life has not forgotten you- you're still very much important to someone out there.
Yes, we know, that hard times are making you question yourself, your existence, your God, but do not allow it to define your worth. You may be struggling today and still carry tremendous potential for tomorrow. Being temporarily down does not mean you are permanently defeated.
DO NOT MAKE PERMANENT DECISIONS IN TEMPORARY PAIN
As someone whose heart is heavy, avoid making decisions simply because you are desperate to escape the present situation. Give yourself time to think, pray, seek wise counsel, and regain perspective or clarity. Some doors that closed are not the end of your journey. Some disappointments are redirections. Some delays are opportunities to grow stronger, wiser, and better prepared. Avoid hasty decisions that you Will regret after the siege is over.
DO NOT BE ASHAMED TO ASK FOR HELP
Strength does not mean pretending that everything is fine.
If you are struggling, speak to someone trustworthy. Seek counsel. Learn. Ask questions. Accept genuine assistance when it is offered. There is no shame in needing support while rebuilding your life. But be careful not to allow desperation to place you in the hands of people who will exploit your vulnerability. Not everyone who offers help has good intentions. Maintain your dignity, wisdom, and boundaries.
KEEP BUILDING, EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO START SMALL
You may not have everything you need today because of the way things are, but it's important you start with what you have.
You can revert to learning one skill or the other. Improve your knowledge. Take honest opportunities. Save whatever you can. Build relationships with people of integrity. Start again if necessary. And most importantly, never despise your small or little beginnings. And if you did not stop, your small step taken consistently can eventually become a significant journey you're going to enjoy tomorrow.
DO NOT COMPARE YOUR JOURNEY
Someone else's success may be visible while their struggles remain hidden. That's why it's not good for you to start comparing yourself to your equals.
Do not measure your entire life against another person's highlight reel. Your journey has its own timing, lessons, responsibilities, and opportunities.
Run your race. Build your capacity. Stay focused.
KEEP YOUR FAITH ALIVE
For those who believe in God, remember that difficult seasons do not mean God has abandoned you.
The Bible says: in Psalm 30:5 “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
Your night may be long, but do not conclude that there will never be a morning.
Pray, but also prepare. Believe, but also work. Trust God, but also make wise decisions. Faith should give you courage to keep moving, not an excuse to stop trying.
FINALLY, DO NOT GIVE UP ON YOURSELF
May be you have survived difficult days before. You may not know exactly how everything will work out, but you can take the next step right.
Rest when necessary. Cry if you must. Reassess your plans. Start again. Forgive yourself for mistakes. Learn from your failures. Protect your peace. Keep your character intact.
A difficult season can test you without destroying you.
One day, you may look back and realize that the season you thought would break you actually built you.
So, if you are going through hard times today, please hold on. Keep learning. Keep praying. Keep working. Keep believing. Keep moving.
Your story is still being written.
Do not let a painful chapter convince you that the whole book is finished.
