Topic: The Danger of Casual Christianity
Text: Leviticus 10:1–3; Hebrews 12:28–29

Leviticus 10:1–3; And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. 2. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. 3. Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.

Hebrews 12:28–29; Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: 2. For our God is a consuming fire.

INTRODUCTION
Our topic today deals with the irreverent behavior of some Christians today towards their walk with God. Casual Christianity refers to Christianity that is void of clear devotion to God and active separation from anything that defiles (2 Corinthians 6:17). Inasmuch as the call to come into Christ first requires repentance from sin, many have taken back their sinful disposition after they have dropped it because they think God doesn't care (Acts 2:38). This was the mistake of the sons of Aaron, they thought God doesn't mind being careless (Lev 10:1).

MESSAGE PROPER
The major mistake casual Christianity makes is the assumption of what grace implies. Casual Christianity assumes that grace means an unusually high disposition of God to accommodate errors. It is not. In fact grace is the opposite! (Romans 6:1).

Grace is the supply of God's power that enables a believer to turn from sin and maintain that resolution of repentance. It is God's antidote to sin (Romans 5:20). This means that the Holy Ghost brings into our hearts the divine energy that condemns that wicked technology of sin that turns a man backwards from his resolve to live right (Romans 8:3).

The old testament church did not have that because they didn't have the Holy Ghost (Romans 7:21-23). If God therefore gave us an antidote to sin, his standard for judging our lives will be higher than that of the old testament church (Heb 12:28-29).

Things/Truths to Know/Note:
1. God knows the capacity of sin to corrupt, and the end result in the eternal stage, and that is why he went as far as tasting death for us through Jesus Christ. Casual Christianity is a great neglect of this truth (Hebrews 2:3).

2. When we turn our hearts back to the cross and genuinely repent, the justice system of God warrants that the old man of the flesh be put to death. The Holy Ghost does this and you experience a liberty to serve God with your spirit (Romans 8:2).

3. When a clean child plays with a child covered in dirt, the dirty child doesn't get clean, rather the clean child gets dirty. It is a dangerous thing to associate with casual Christians, because surely the good manners will end up getting corrupted, and not the other way round (1 Corinthians 15:33).

CONCLUSION
Do not be deceived by the long-suffering of God towards that who despise so great a salvation. Do not join them either, they may be on their last rope. Be instead an agent of restoration to get them back on the path of uprightness, correcting them with meekness and self consideration else you also get tempted (Galatians 6:1).

Assignment
Study Romans 5 and 6 thoroughly and make more searches on the message of the cross in order to be grounded.

Topic: When Holiness Provokes Revelation
Text: Isaiah 6:1–3; Matthew 5:8

Isaiah 6:1–3; In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 2. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 3. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

Matthew 5:8; Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

INTRODUCTION
Holiness simply put, is the attribute of sinless purity toward God. This means that some things that are pure to the world may not be pure towards God, and what God calls pure might even be accused as impure by the world. The Lord calls us to holiness because it is the only platform where fellowship with the divine is possible (Hebrews 12:14).

MESSAGE PROPER
Holiness has always been the platform for fellowship with God (2 Corinthians 6:17). This is because God is not known by information, he's known by revelation. It's knowing God by revelation that constitutes fellowship (2 Corinthians 13:14). This means that you can get information about God anywhere, but to know God and be transformed by that knowledge, he must reveal himself to you (John 14:21).

The word revelation is derived from ‘reveal’, meaning that something was hidden before. The knowledge of God is the hidden wisdom God kept for our glorying. Eyes have not seen it, ears have not heard it, neither does it enter into the imagination of man the things of God laid up for you, but it's only accessed by revelation, when it is revealed by the Spirit of God (1 Corinthians 2:9).

Things/Truths to Know/Note
1. One of the reasons the Holy Ghost is living in us is because God's plan to raise you to glory is through revealing himself to you, a revelation that takes you from glory to glory, and it is only by the Spirit of God - (2 Cor 3:18).

2. In as much as the believer is indwelt by the Holy Ghost, he cannot reveal God until the believer gets into the posture of holiness - (2 Corinthians 6:17).

3. The knowledge of God is the key to glory and exaltation. It is more to be desired than anything the world has to offer in reward for unholiness -(Daniel 11:32).

CONCLUSION
Holiness is not a mere advice from God and church leaders for the people to add to their walk with God. If you want to be strong and do exploits, value holiness, because holiness will get you there. If not, you will stay ruled by world, and go into reproach (Proverbs 14:34).

Assignment
Take a fast any day of the week for a renewal of your vow of holiness to God.

Topic: The Call to Separation
Text: Acts 13:2, 2 Corinthians 6:17

“As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.” Acts 13:2

“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.” 2 Cor 6:17.

INTRODUCTION
Throughout the Scriptures, God's pattern is clear: He calls individuals into a place of separation before commissioning them for His divine purposes. This separation is not just physical, but spiritual, creating an environment where His voice and His directives are clear. The call to separation is foundational, for it is in these moments of divine solitude that God prepares His servants for significant assignments.

MESSAGE PROPER
In the early church, as recorded in Acts 13:2, Barnabas and Saul were set apart by the Holy Spirit. This separation was not only for their personal growth but also for the advancement of the Gospel. Before God sends His chosen ones out, He often calls them into deeper fellowship and intimacy with Him. Moses was separated from his people in the wilderness before he was sent to deliver Israel -Exo 3:1-4.

God's call to separation also demands holiness. In 2Cor 6:17, we are instructed to come out from things and situations that defile us. We are to choose God's standards over worldly influences. This call is echoed in 1Peter 1:15-16, where we are urged to be holy in all conduct.

Things to Note
1. Separation Precedes Commission: Before God can effectively use anyone, He first separates them unto Himself. Jesus spent 40 days in the wilderness (Matt 4:1-2) before launching His public ministry. This period of solitude was for preparation and empowerment.

2. Divine Purpose in Separation: Separation allows for clarity of purpose and sharpening of focus. Like Paul, who, after his conversion, spent time in Arabia (Gal. 1:15-18), we too must embrace seasons where God molds us away from distractions, enabling us to fully grasp our divine assignments.

3. Separation as a Lifelong Call: Separation is not simply a one-time event but a continual call to live set apart for God. Throughout our spiritual journey, there are repeated calls to examine our lives and ensure we are aligned with God's direction - Rom 12:1-2.

Conclusion
The call to separation requires us to lay aside every weight and distraction, setting our eyes solely on Jesus (Heb 12:1-2). Separation is the birthplace of strength, courage, and clarity for the work ahead. As we embrace God's call to set ourselves apart, we position ourselves for divine assignments that lead to the transformation of lives and the advancement of His kingdom.

Assignment
Reflect on areas of your life where God might be calling you to a deeper separation. Consider what distractions need to be set aside to enhance your relationship with Him and prepare for the work He has for you.

Quote for the Day
“Separation unto God transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary.” - Apostle Francis E.A Onyebuchi

Date: 26-4-2026

THEME: HAGIAZO; YES LORD!
Topic: Alignment; Fundamentals of Worship
Text: Genesis 4:1-7

📖Alignment with God is a fundamental requirement in worship - Gen 4:3-7, our givings & sacrifices which are our direct expressions of worship must be rooted in intentionality, Honour & willingness if it must be received & valuable before God.

📖To be first to bring is not a kingdom requirement for acceptability, to give the largest is not fundamental to genuiness, when large givings are proofs/opportunities to show case wealth, superiority & popularity, it amounts to wealth in the kingdom.

UNDERSTANDING ALIGNMENT AS A FUNDAMENTAL OF WORSHIP
📌Every worship must have; An honour to the one being worshipped, A reverence to the one being worshipped, a reverence lifestyle is an honorable lifestyle. It is the matching of your heart with your hand.

📌There’s nothing that God protects so much than His purpose & His glory, & it is only by honour towards His glory that one proves His respect & alignment to Him.

📌There is never a worship without a sacrifice. There can be a priest, A God , an Altar but without a sacrifice, alignment or connectivity is not established .To underestimate the power of a sacrifice it to live carelessly & unreasonably.

🕹UNDERSTANDING THE PLACE OF SACRIFICE IN THIS HONOUR SERVICE TODAY

📍It is the key to a change of level- dryness ceases & abundance begins - 1Kings 17:8-16, nothing sacrificed loses its value nor dies -

📍It is a game changer; it instantly transforms the barren to mother of children - 2Kings 4:8-10, 14-17, it places you on heaven’s gateways - 2Kings 4:32-37. NB; No one who takes note of the prophets humanity is blessed of His divinity - Mt 13:54-58.

🕹UNVEILING THE INGREDIENTS IN GIVING THAT MAKES IT A SACRIFICE

📍Must reflect Honour & Intentionality Must cost you something - treasurable & valuable - Prov 3:9.

📍Must be of a willing heart - Exo 25:2.

📍Product of Love - Jn 3:16, for every love is a giving instrument An expectation of the blessing from God

Topic: The Discipline of Consecration
Text: Romans 12:1–2, Hebrews 12:14

Romans 12:1–2; “I beseech you therefore, brethren... present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God... be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind...”

Hebrews 12:14 “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”

INTRODUCTION
Consecration is the intentional act of setting oneself apart for God. It requires discipline, commitment, and a continuous decision to live for Him.

Message Proper
Romans 12:1 urges believers to present their bodies as a living sacrifice. This means consecration is not a one-time event but a daily practice. It involves surrendering your desires, plans, and will to God.

Hebrews 12:14 - emphasizes the necessity of holiness. Holiness does not happen by chance—it is cultivated intentionally.

Discipline is central to consecration. Just as athletes train with consistency (1 Corinthians 9:25–27), believers must develop spiritual habits—prayer, fasting, and studying the Word.

Consecration also requires renewing the mind (Romans 12:2). Transformation begins from within. When your thinking aligns with God’s Word, your actions will follow.

Challenges will come, but consistency is key. True consecration is proven over time through obedience and persistence (Galatians 5:7).

Things to Note
1. Consecration is daily, not occasional (Romans 12:1), Therefore, you must make sure to be consistent.

2. Holiness requires intentional pursuit because it is intentionality brings more focus (Hebrews 12:14).

3. Discipline sustains spiritual growth (1 Corinthians 9:27).

Conclusion
A consecrated life is a disciplined life. As you remain consistent, you will grow in holiness and intimacy with God.

Assignment
Create a personal daily spiritual routine (prayer, Word study, and reflection) and commit to following it consistently.

Quote for the Day (FraQuote)
“Consecration is sustained by discipline; without discipline, devotion will fade.”

Text: 1Corinthians 3:16–17, 1Peter 1:15–16

1 Corinthians 3:16–17; “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy...”

1 Peter 1:15–16 – “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”

INTRODUCTION
Every believer carries a divine identity—God’s temple. This truth demands a lifestyle of holiness and reverence, reflecting God’s presence within.

MESSAGE PROPER
1 Corinthians 3:16 declares, “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God…?” This is not symbolic; it is a spiritual reality. God dwells within every believer, making your life sacred.

Because God is holy, His dwelling place must reflect His nature. 1 Peter 1:16 says, “Be ye holy; for I am holy.” Holiness is not optional—it is a command.

Living as God’s temple affects how you think (Philippians 4:8), speak (Ephesians 4:29), and act (Colossians 3:5–10). You cannot carry God’s presence and live carelessly. Every action becomes an expression of who dwells in you.

Defiling the temple through sin has consequences (1 Corinthians 3:17). This includes immoral living, bitterness, and compromise. A holy temple is preserved through daily consecration and obedience.

However, holiness is not about perfection but alignment. Through the help of the Holy Spirit, believers are empowered to live above sin (Romans 8:13). The awareness of God’s indwelling presence produces reverence and discipline.

THINGS TO NOTE
- You are God’s dwelling place (1 Corinthians 3:16).

- Holiness reflects God’s nature (1Peter 1:16).

- Your lifestyle must align with your identity (Colossians 3:5).

CONCLUSION
You are not ordinary—you carry God. Live daily with the consciousness of His presence and reflect His holiness.

ASSIGNMENT
Examine your life today and remove one habit or behavior that does not reflect God’s holiness.

Text: Acts 13:2, John 16:13

Acts 13:2 “As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.”

John 16:13 – “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth...”

INTRODUCTION
Sanctification is not achieved by human effort alone; it is guided by the voice of the Holy Spirit. In a world filled with distractions and conflicting voices, discerning the voice of the Spirit becomes essential for a life set apart unto God.

MESSAGE PROPER
The process of sanctification begins with sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. In Acts 13:2, “As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul…”. This shows that sanctification is initiated by divine instruction, not human ambition. The Spirit speaks and separates men for God’s purpose.

Jesus affirmed in John 16:13, “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth…” This guidance is crucial in living a holy life. Without the Spirit’s direction, a believer may struggle with confusion and inconsistency.

The voice of the Spirit convicts (John 16:8), instructs (Isaiah 30:21), and empowers obedience (Ezekiel 36:27).Sanctification, therefore, requires yieldedness. When a believer consistently responds to the Spirit, transformation becomes evident.

However, many ignore His voice due to carnality or distractions (Galatians 5:16–17). To hear Him clearly, one must cultivate a lifestyle of prayer, fasting, and meditation on the Word (Romans 8:14). The Spirit does not shout; He leads. Sensitivity is built through intimacy.

THINGS TO NOTE
1. The Holy Spirit is the initiator of sanctification (Acts 13:2).

2. He guides into truth and righteousness (John 16:13)

3. Sensitivity to His voice requires spiritual discipline (Galatians 5:16).

CONCLUSION
A sanctified life is a Spirit-led life. As you learn to hear and obey His voice, you will walk in divine separation and purpose.

ASSIGNMENT
Spend at least 20 minutes today in quiet prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to speak and guide you in one specific area of your life.

Matthew 23:25–26; Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. 26. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

Psalm 51:10; Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

INTRODUCTION
In the Old Testament the people of God were separate from the rest of the world not just by the commands they were given to obey but because they were commanded to be circumcised (Genesis 17:10–11). The circumcision ritual was a major separator between the Jew and the non-Jew. It was a major sign of identification as God's own. This same circumcision is done when a man comes to Christ, but this time, it is done within. (Romans 2:28–29).

MESSAGE PROPER
The secret to the believer's separation to God is not his obedience to scriptures, because there are many who use the bible as a standard for living, who draw deep insights from the scriptures to order their lives, but they are not Christians. These ones are NOT circumcised even though their lives may show piety. (2 Timothy 3:5).

The message today is shedding light on the truth that the moment a man gives his life to Christ, the Holy Ghost performs a work of separation within him, a circumcision not of the body but of the heart, in cutting off the flesh and its hold on the inner man (Colossians 2:11). It is this circumcision that constitutes identification as God's own people and makes it possible to live out a purified life. (Philippians 3:3).

You are to know, beloved, that God circumcised you at new birth. You are, therefore, not a creature of flesh. You are not of the first man, earthy, but of the second man, the Lord from heaven. You are heavenly, and it is time to make that manifestation happen. (1 Corinthians 15:47–48)

TRUTHS TO NOTE
1. You cannot bear fruit without knowing the truth. It is the truth known that sets you free. You are separated from within, and there's nothing the devil can do about it (John 8:32).

2. The hope of belonging to the Lord is the strongest driver in the journey of separation. Knowing that the old man is gone, you are a new person in Christ, and there is a kingdom awaiting your return as royalty (1 John 3:3).

3. Heaven is not a place for surprised people. Everyone there knew they belonged there. It is a life consecrated intentionally to the Lord's use and service here on earth that will be with him forever. The word says where I am there shall my “servant” be (John 12:26)

CONCLUSION
The power of choice still holds, whoever is willing let him come and drink of the water of life (Revelation 22:17). It's free. The things that pertain to godliness are freely given to whoever is willing, not by striving back and forth with sin but by surrendering to the word and the Spirit of purification.

ASSIGNMENT

Isaiah 6:6–7; Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: 7. And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

Malachi 3:2–3; But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap: 3. And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

INTRODUCTION
There is a need for fire in order to be a consecrated and sanctified vessel unto God's service. Consecration is the separation unto special use and devotion to God, away from sin, Satan and the world (Romans 12:1–2). The agent that completes this process is the fire that purifies. It is not in our power to purify ourselves but to receive from the Lord the purifier’s fire because the anchor text clearly states that He will purge and purify the priesthood. (Malachi 3:2–3).

You, as a believer in Christ, have a holy calling to priesthood. This priesthood is a calling unto separation to God. The calling of priesthood confers on you an expectation by God to offer unto him sacrifices in righteousness. (1 Peter 2:5).

For you to be acceptable, you must be purified, and the purification is not of the body, done by soap and water. It is of the inner man done by the Holy Ghost. (Titus 3:5).

It was the man sent from God, John, that said “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance but he…..shall baptize you with the holy ghost and with fire (Matthew 3:11).

TRUTHS TO NOTE
1. The Holy Ghost does not do his work of purification in isolation. His presence is there to defend the faithfulness of God to keep his word as it has to do with the promise of salvation to as many as believe in the name of Jesus. It is, therefore, your submission to the word that activates his ministry (John 17:17).

2. It is important to know that the Holy Ghost is not a cleaner. He is the purifier. So anyone who thinks to wilfully desecrate his temple because he thinks the holy ghost will always be there to “clean”, such a one is in danger of judgement (Romans 6:1).

3. In as much as the Holy Ghost is the fire that purifies, it is the believer that submits himself to the process that will be purified.* Fire does not involve comfort. It always burns, but in the end, the result is a processed product *(1 Peter 1:7).

CONCLUSION
The master will only use clean vessels. There is a standing call for purified vessels, and the Holy Ghost is ready to cleanse whomever is ready. There is a pending infilling waiting for anyone who will purify himself even as he is pure. Today is another chance for you to get on this wagon (1 John 3:3).

ASSIGNMENT
Take a fast asking the Lord to purge you of any filth hindering your next level of consecration to his purpose.
