Topic: PRAYING WITH THANKSGIVING AND GRATITUDE.
Text: Philippians 4:6

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."

INTRODUCTION
In a world filled with demands, worries, and uncertainties, the act of prayer provides us with a priceless opportunity to connect with God. Our conversations with Him reveal our hearts, hopes, and concerns. Philippians 4:6. shows us a unique way by which we are to approach our Heavenly Father in prayer. It directs us to approach prayer with a heart full of thanksgiving and gratitude, transforming our petitions into moments of intimate communion with Ebeneezer.

MESSAGE PROPER
Incorporating gratitude into our prayers transforms them from a mere exchange of requests into a dialogue of deep connection and trust. God looks forward to ourThanksgiving and show of sincere gratitude to Him whenever we appear before His throne (Philippians 4:6).

A Lack of gratitude in our prayers will get us nowhere in life. It is Apostle Francis E.A Onyebuchi who said "If you are not grateful to God for all He has done, you are only a great fool".
That said, let's delve into the significance of praying with thanksgiving and how it enhances our relationship with God.

THINGS TO NOTE
1. It Builds Trust and eliminates Anxiety: Anxious thoughts often clutter our minds, leaving us restless and overwhelmed. Philippians 4:6 encourages us to shift our focus from worries to prayerful conversations with God. When we present our concerns with thanksgiving, we acknowledge God's sovereignty over our circumstances, fostering trust in His divine guidance.

2. A Heart of Contentment (1Timothy 6:6): Gratitude redirects our attention from what we lack to the blessings we already possess. By appreciating the goodness that surrounds us, our hearts are infused with contentment. As we pray with a heart full of thanksgiving, we recognize that God's provision extends beyond our immediate needs. This realization is very important in keeping our heart in check and our love for God intact.

3. Embracing God's Peace (Philippians 4:8-9): Prayer and thanksgiving are intertwined with God's promise of peace. When we lift our concerns to God while embracing a posture of gratitude, we invite His peace to guard our hearts and minds. This peace surpasses human understanding, offering comfort even in the midst of challenges.

4. Strengthening Our Relationship (Philippians 4:6-7): Thanksgiving in prayer deepens our relationship with God. Just as gratitude fosters closeness in human relationships, it draws us closer to our Creator. Our prayers shift from transactional to transformational, as we engage in authentic conversations with the One who knows us intimately.

CONCLUSION
As we embrace gratitude in our prayers, we release the burdens of anxiety and cultivate a heart of contentment. Our prayers become a tapestry woven with threads of trust, faithfulness, and peace. With every petition presented with thanksgiving, we draw closer to the One who holds our past, present, and future in His hands. I see Jehovah Ebeneezer coming through for you this month in Jesus name, Amen.

ASSIGNMENT
From today, discipline yourself to always remember the good things God has done for you & thank Him for them first before you mention your current needs to Him, then watch God make your life a living Testimony.

Topic: THE MIRACLE OF ANSWERED PRAYERS
Text: Acts 12:10

"When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him."

INTRODUCTION
The act of prayer is a direct line of communication between God and man. It is dependable means by which the believer can journey into the heart of God and discover His plans for their lives as well as receive grace to birth it in the natural. Also It is a conversation where we pour out our hearts, hopes, and desires to God. In prayer, we often find ourselves seeking miracles, hoping for answers to our deepest needs and believing that God will come through for us.

MESSAGE PROPER
Prayer is not merely a list of requests; it's a journey of trust and surrender. Just as Peter experienced a miraculous escape through the opening of an iron gate, our prayers can lead to doors of opportunity, deliverance, and transformation. As believers, our advantage is in God and until we learn to engage Him on the altar of prayer consistently, so many areas of our life will remain in darkness and bankrupt of divine intervention.

That said, let's explore how the miracle of answered prayers impacts our faith journey.

THINGS TO NOTE
1. Recognizing God's Perfect Timing: In Acts 12:10, the iron gate opened "of its own accord" as if guided by an unseen hand. Similarly, when we pray, God's timing is often beyond our comprehension. While we may grow impatient, the timing of God's responses aligns with His perfect plan. God's delays are not denials but opportunities for us to trust His divine wisdom.

2. Strengthening Our Faith (John 16:24): Answered prayers are a testament to God's faithfulness. They remind us that we serve a God who cares about the intricate details of our lives. Just as Peter's chains were broken and the gate opened, our chains of doubt and fear are shattered when we witness the power of God at work.

3. Encountering Angels Among Us (Hebrews 1:14): Our focal text also reveals the presence of an angel in Peter's miraculous escape. While we might not always see angelic beings, the Bible assures us of their involvement in our lives. Our prayers activate heavenly assistance, guiding and protecting us on our journey.

CONCLUSION
The miracle of answered prayers reminds us that God is not distant but intimately involved in our lives, guiding us toward His purpose and plan. Let us approach prayer with expectancy, knowing that the God who opened the gate for Peter stands ready to answer our prayers today.

ASSIGNMENT
Make out time to consciously engage God today in prayers concerning any matter you need His help, then believe that He will miraculously intervene in the days to come.

Topic: THE JOY OF ANSWERED PRAYERS
Text: 1 Samuel 1:27

"I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him."

INTRODUCTION
One thing we have to realize as children of God is that God desires for our needs to be met, even more than we desire it ourselves. God is known to exhibit many characters, but one dimension we need to know Him for is the God that loves. He not only loves, He is love. One of the characteristics of a heart that loves is that it always wants to give or share. So understand that God wants to give you things, not just spiritual things but physical as well and it is in prayer that we position ourselves to present our needs before God so that He would meet every single one of them that our joy may be complete.

MESSAGE PROPER
In the book of John 16:24, Jesus said, “until now, you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask, and you will, and your joy will be complete.” There is joy attached to answered prayers.

Today, God wants you to experience that Joy as you make your requests known to Him. He said in the book of 1 Peter that you should cast all your cares/anxiety/worry on Him because He cares for you. From our passage today, we see Hannah, given a testimony of how God gave her a child after she had asked for that child. Even today, God is still meeting needs, all around the world people are still testifying, and you are also included in that package.

Have you been believing God for something, and it seems to be taking too long? Be encouraged today. God’s word says that He makes all things beautiful in its time. In due season, you will see all your requests met, and just like Hannah, you will testify. God may seem slow, but He is always on time.

THINGS TO NOTE
1. Be encouraged in the word: The word of God is where we draw faith from. It is our assurance that God would do what He said He would do. God does not lie. In Jeremiah 1:12, God said He watches over his word to see that it is performed. In your life, God is watching to see that His word comes to pass.

2. Pray according to the word: In prayer, you present God’s word to Him, not your own words. Your emotions and sayings do not weigh much in the spirit realm. God is only obligated to fulfilling His word, and because of His mercy and grace, He covered every challenge we would ever face in His word.

CONCLUSION
Do not be discouraged in this eleventh month, God is going to birth new testimonies in your life, and you would experience the joy of answered prayers. Only remain in Him and trust Him to do the things He has spoken over your life and in His word.

ASSIGNMENT
List out all the prayer points you have that seem to be delayed. Find a brother or sister and pray in agreement for its manifestation in this season.

Topic: OVERCOMING DOUBT AND UNBELIEF IN PRAYER
Text: James 1:6-7

"But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. [7] For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord."

INTRODUCTION
In our journey of faith, doubt and unbelief often cast shadows on our prayers. We find ourselves questioning whether God hears us or if our requests are too insignificant.
A Man of doubt & unbelief is likened to one who is double minded, such one is bound to be unstable in all his ways. He should not expect to receive from the Lord (James 1:7-8).

MESSAGE PROPER
Doubt is like a turbulent sea, driven by the winds of uncertainty. When we pray with doubt, we undermine the very foundation of our communication with God. We waver in our belief, causing our prayers to lack the confidence that God desires from us. What Doubt does is it creates a barrier between us and the One who longs to answer our prayers. This will often lead to a long time of unanswered prayers which will drive the believer into frustration and make such one give up on God. But there is a way out!! You can overcome it in the place of prayer. Let's take note of the following;

THINGS TO NOTE
1. The Call to Believe (Mark 11:22-24):
James urges us to ask in faith, without doubting. Our faith should not waver based on circumstances or emotions. Belief is the key that unlocks the door of effective prayer. It aligns our hearts with God's will and positions us to receive His blessings. Just as a plant needs the sun's rays to grow, our prayers need the nourishment of unwavering faith to flourish.

2. Trusting in God's Character (Psalm 66:6-7):
Overcoming doubt requires us to know the character of the One we pray to. God is faithful, loving, and all-powerful. When we doubt, we question His very nature. Remembering His past faithfulness can dispel the clouds of uncertainty.

3. The Power of Persistence (James 5:17):
Persistent prayer reveals the depth of our faith. Jesus told a parable of a persistent widow to illustrate the importance of persevering in prayer (Luke 18:1-8). When we encounter doubt, we must press on, trusting that God is at work behind the scenes.

4. Renewing the Mind (Rom 12:2):
Overcoming doubt involves renewing our minds with God's Word. Meditating on scriptures that speak of God's promises and faithfulness can counteract the seeds of doubt. Philippians 4:8 encourages us to think about whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy. Cultivating a positive thought life can help us overcome doubt.

CONCLUSION
Doubt is bound to come to the believer at certain times in life but God expects us to dispel these doubts and instead trust in the Integrity of His word irrespective of our fears and how we feel. The Apostles of Jesus Christ whom we celebrate to this day once lived in fear
and doubts and could barely record answers to their prayers but as they worked with the Lord, they were transformed to mighty men of faith so much so that they could die for what they believed in. As you walk with the Lord, I see you overcoming every obstacle of fear and Unbelief in Jesus name, Amen.

ASSIGNMENT
This month try to study the book "Battlefield of the mind" by Joyce Meyer. It will help fortify your mind against doubt and Unbelief.

Topic: LEARNING FROM JESUS' MODEL OF PRAYER
Text: Matthew 6:9 KJV

"After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name."

INTRODUCTION
Prayer is a very powerful tool given by God to the redeemed to gain access to the riches of his inheritance in Christ and all that has been provided on account of the finished work of Jesus at the cross. However, many still languish is penury, pain and suffering and are the exact replica of that which Christ delivered them from due to ignorance on how this powerful tool works.

That you mumble words and scream from your lungs in an emotional outburst doesn't make your prayer accurate or birth the right results (James 4:3). The disciples of Jesus were wise enough to know this, and hence, they approached Him and requested that He teaches them how to pray. Christ, in response to this request, revealed the model in which the believer should follow in his prayer enterprise.

MESSAGE PROPER
In Matthew 6:9, Jesus provided us with a profound lesson on prayer through a simple yet powerful introduction to the Lord's Prayer. These few words hold the key to unlocking a deeper understanding of how we can communicate with God, experience a life transforming relationship with Him & command results in every sphere of life.

One of the first thing we notice is that we should begin by addressing God by "Our Father". This reshapes our perception of who God is as we are made to understand that we are to approach the Almighty God as our Father and develop intimacy with Him for He desires such. It reminds us that prayer is not a formal ritual but a heartfelt conversation with a loving parent. This address dismantles any barriers that might hinder our approach to God, inviting us to come as we are, just like children to their father.

Secondly, "Hallowed be your name." With this phrase, Jesus teaches us to acknowledge the sacredness and holiness of God's name. In our fast-paced lives, we often rush into prayer with a list of requests, forgetting the awe-inspiring nature of the One we're addressing. Jesus reminds us to pause, reflect, and give proper respect to the God who deserves all honor. There are some vital lessons we are learn from Jesus'Model of Prayer. They include;

THINGS TO NOTE
1. Approach with Humility - 1Peter 5:5: The way Jesus starts this prayer emphasizes humility. Humility opens the door for a genuine connection with God, allowing us to surrender our ego and pride.

2. Prioritize God's Glory - Matthew 6:9: The phrase "hallowed be your name" teaches us to prioritize God's glory above all else. This concept challenges us to align our desires with His will.

3. Relationship Over Ritual - Matthew 6:7-8: By referring to God as our Father, Jesus emphasizes the relational aspect of prayer. It's not about reciting empty words or following rituals but about engaging in a conversation with a loving parent who cares deeply about us.

CONCLUSION
As we reflect on Jesus' model of prayer, let's embrace the lessons hidden within these simple words. Our prayers should echo the humility, reverence, and relationship-building that Jesus exemplified. Instead of rushing into a laundry list of requests, let's start by acknowledging God's holiness, aligning our desires with His will, and seeking His glory above all else. And as we put His Kingdom first, we will be amazed by what God will do in and through our lives.
Ebeneezer.

Topic: ACCESSING OUR DESIRES THROUGH PRAYER
Text: Mark 11:24

"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."

INTRODUCTION
We all have genuine desires. We all have needs that are highlighted in the word of God and therefore fall under the will of God for our lives. But we don’t always see those needs being met in the lives of believers. While there may be many reasons for this, one vital cause of lack in one form or the other in the life of the believer is the lack of faith, or unbelief. We may know what the word says, but it is another thing entirely to believe God wills them for us at the moment of our needs.

MESSAGE PROPER
God has laid out all his desires for us in His word. The Bible contains God’s master plan for His people, including our wellbeing. Our main concern in order to have our desires met is transitioning from reading the logos of the word of God to reading the rhema word of God. In your place of prayer, always ask the Lord to open your eyes to see wondrous things in God’s word. You can see with your physical eyes as well as your spiritual eyes. When you reach this state, your faith can move mountains and it becomes very easy to see your desires met in prayer.

THINGS TO NOTE
1. God has given us authority through His word: Prayer goes beyond petitions. There are different kinds of prayer. There is the kind of prayer that requires you to pray from heaven to earth. In other words, you take your place as a son of God and issue decrees over things in your life that do not line up with the will of God concerning you as written in His word. After the children of Israel had left Egypt, they were stuck before the red sea. Moses complained to God but God gave him a reply, “what do you have in your hand?” In the book of John 17:14, Jesus said, “I have given them your word”. You have the word of God as a rod to divide “red seas” in your life.

CONCLUSION
While you pray, believe. Your faith is like currency in heaven that you use to cash in on the promises of God willed to you. Endeavor to avoid anti-covenant practices, things that you can engage in which limits your confidence before God and hinder your faith.

ASSIGNMENT
Highlight one area in your life where you need an intervention from God. Find the word of God that covers that desire and begin to meditate on it.

Topic: THE REALITY OF THE UNSEEN REALM
Text: Hebrews 11:3

"By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible."

INTRODUCTION
We live in a world that is filled with all kinds of spirits. Whether we believe it or not, this world is controlled by the spirit realm. Unfortunately, the devil has taken temporary control of this world as willed to him by Adam. 1 John 19. However, that the enemy has control doesn’t mean he has to have control over you. As a born again believer, you have been redeemed from the enemy and are free to live the life God wants you to live. You even have authority over the enemy to subdue him and free others held captive to his oppression. But for you to effectively walk in this mandate, you have to be conscious of the unseen realm as that is where the battle takes place.

MESSAGE PROPER
Our text today makes a striking inference. It says, “…what is seen was not made out of what was visible.” It implies that what is seen was made out of the invisible, so the invisible or unseen realm created the visible or seen world. Think about it, it means many of the realities people experience in our world today are as a result of their direct or indirect interactions with the invisible world.

Many negative experiences such as accidents, depression, suicidal tendencies, poverty, negative thoughts, bad governments etc can be associated with the operations of evil spirits in the unseen realm or evil people who are sensitive enough to interact with wicked spirits.

In the same way, many positive occurrences in the lives of God’s people are as a result of their operations in the realm of the spirit. You can work in unusual levels of favor, wealth, divine protection, insight, and the like if only you can effectively partner with God to lay claim to all He has made available for you in His Son Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:3 says, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms (unseen realm) with every spiritual (unseen) blessing in Christ.” All you would ever need in this life is made available in Christ Jesus, you only need the wisdom to transfer them from the invisible world to the visible.

THINGS TO NOTE
Tools designed to work for us in the unseen realm are;
1. The Blood of Jesus: The blood carries so much weight in the spirit and it represents the price paid by the Lord Jesus for our redemption from the fall and everything the enemy would ever attempt to throw at us.

2. The Word of God: The word of God represents a sword in the spirit (Ephesians 6:17). With it we fight in the unseen realm and obtain victory in Christ Jesus.

3. The Ministry of Angels: Every believer has an angel or angels assigned to him. Their job is to protect you and execute the will of God concerning you. These angels are so sensitive to the word of God. A man of the word and prayer would see their activities in his life more often.

CONCLUSION
A man that wins in the spirit would win in the physical. An unbeliever who know his god, would do exploits and rule over the believer who is ignorant of the tools available for him to utilize the backing of heaven. Learn the ways of God and you would experience the adventure and blessings attached to a life in the spirit.

ASSIGNMENT
Meditate on what the word says about the Blood of Jesus, the word of God, the Ministry of Angels and your authority in Christ Jesus.

QUOTE FOR THE DAY
The devil is not scared of your power, he is only scared of the amount of wisdom you command
Apostle Francis E.A Onyebuchi
