FREE MEDICAL TREATMENT AND CHECKUP St. Mary's Anglican Church Ukpo SATURDAY 25TH JULY 2026

As part of the 2026 CMS Anniversary Celebration, this medical outreach is an initiative designed to extend the love and compassion of Christ to the people of Ukpo and its surrounding communities. Through this program, individuals who are sick, living with various health conditions, or showing symptoms of illness will have the opportunity to receive medical screening, consultation, and treatment for selected conditions.

This outreach reflects one of the enduring legacies of the Church Missionary Society (CMS). Alongside the Gospel, the CMS missionaries introduced modern healthcare to Nigeria. Many of the early missionaries paid the ultimate price for their commitment, with several losing their lives to diseases such as malaria. Their sacrifices inspired further medical research and the development of effective treatments, including medicines that made missionary work possible across the country and greatly improved healthcare for countless people.

Today, we remember and honor those sacrifices by continuing their mission of bringing both hope and healing to our communities. This medical outreach is our way of preserving that legacy sharing God's love through practical care and making quality healthcare more accessible to those in need.
