RCCN Pastors and Wives Retreat 2026: A Season of Ministerial Renewal and Family Enrichment.
The Reformed Church of Christ for Nations (RCCN) Headquarters, Takum, is currently hosting the Pastors and Wives Retreat 2026, an exclusive leadership and capacity-building programme designed to strengthen the spiritual, ministerial, administrative, and family life of pastors and their wives.
The retreat commenced on 3rd August 2026 at the Veenstra Reformed Theology Seminary, Lupwe.
The retreat features a series of carefully structured courses facilitated by seasoned RCCN ministers and leaders. The courses are designed to equip participants with deeper knowledge and practical understanding relevant to effective Christian ministry.
The courses and facilitators include:
Bible Study: Rev. Bulus Yerima
Pastoral Ethics: Rev. Dr. Ande Musa
Reformed Church Order: Rev. Dr. Victor Audu
Reformed Church Administration: Rev. Joseph E. Kukwen
Homiletics: The Art and Science of Biblical Preaching: Rev. Rimamshong Yerima
Through these sessions, participants are being challenged to deepen their understanding of Scripture, uphold sound pastoral ethics, strengthen their knowledge of Reformed Church order and administration, and develop greater competence in biblical preaching.
A significant aspect of the retreat is its deliberate attention to the welfare and development of pastors' families.
Mrs. Hauwa Bulus Yerima, wife of the current RCCN President, Rev. Bulus Yerima, facilitated an interactive session with pastors' wives, focusing on the importance of honouring their husbands, strengthening the home, and becoming positive examples to other families.
The session provided an avenue for meaningful interaction, encouragement, and reflection on the unique responsibilities of pastors' wives in supporting their husbands and contributing to the stability and effectiveness of the Christian family.
In interviews, participating pastors and their wives expressed appreciation to the RCCN Headquarters leadership for initiating the retreat.
They described the programme as timely, impactful, and enriching, highlighting the value of the training in promoting growth in ministerial ethics, church administration, preaching, spiritual development, and family relationships.
Participants also expressed their desire for the retreat to be sustained as a regular platform for continuous ministerial development and leadership renewal within RCCN.
The ongoing Pastors and Wives Retreat 2026 reflects RCCN's commitment to developing spiritually grounded, ethically responsible, and professionally equipped ministers while strengthening the families behind the ministry.
As the programme continues, participants remain engaged in learning, interaction, fellowship, and reflection, with the broader objective of building stronger ministers, stronger families, and a stronger church.
God bless the Reformed Church of Christ for Nations.
