It is with great pain and sorrow I learnt the sudden demolition of a church in Maiduguri Borno State. This wasn't just the case but it got to the extend where lives were lost and others injured.
Though it isn't a shock to me and members of KHMI because for the past 4 months I have been talking to us about how sensitive the month of August will be, how the devil is busy trying to source out ways to bring chaos, lost of lives not just in this city but the entire nation Nigeria.
I hereby condemn such act and call on the government to take reasonable action against the perpetrators and ensure with immediate measures be taken not to have a repetition of such barbaric and inhuman action.
I also advice the christians to stay calm & becareful on how we respond to such acts must especially on social media, nothing can by any means stop the propagation of the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Do not forget even without the building the church of God still stands.
We pray for peace in our dear city Maiduguri and the whole nation of Nigeria at large.
