*SAINT JOSEPH HUSBAND OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY*

_Saint Joseph, husband of Mary and foster father of Jesus, was a humble carpenter from a royal lineage, known for his compassion and obedience to God. He protected his family, fleeing_ _to Egypt and settling in Nazareth._ _Joseph loved Jesus deeply and respected_ _God's commands. He likely died before Jesus' public ministry. Born around 90 BC in Bethlehem, he's patron saint of_ _families, workers, and more. His feast days: March 19 as husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary and May 1, as Joseph the worker. Often depicted as an older man with_ _carpenter's tools sometimes appearing frail and a marginal figure next to Mary and Jesus. Despite missing details,_ _Scripture portrays him as "a righteous man_ " ( _Matthew_ _1:18 )._

REFLECTION
Saint Joseph took care of Jesus even though he wasn't his real father. Many kids need families. Can we help by becoming a foster parent to the needy like Joseph?
