Leviticus 23:15-22đź“–
Count seven full weeks from the day after the Sabbath on which you bring your sheaf of grain to present to the Elohim.
On the fiftieth day, the day after the seventh Sabbath, present to the Elohim another new offering of grain.
Each family is to bring two loaves of bread and present them to the Lord as a special gift. Each loaf shall be made of four pounds of flour baked with yeast and shall be presented to the Elohim as an offering of the first grain to be harvested.
And with the bread the community is to present seven one-year-old lambs, one bull, and two rams, none of which may have any defects. They shall be offered as a burnt offering to the Elohim, along with a grain offering and a wine offering. The odor of this offering is pleasing to the Elohim.
Also offer one male goat as a sin offering and two one-year-old male lambs as a fellowship offering.
The priest shall present the bread with the two lambs as a special gift to the Elohim for the priests. These offerings are holy. On that day do none of your daily work, but gather for worship. Your descendants are to observe this regulation for all time to come, no matter where they live.
When you harvest your fields, do not cut the grain at the edges of the fields, and do not go back to cut the heads of grain that were left; leave them for poor people and foreigners. The Elohim is your Yahweh.

The Divine Feast of Weeks, Harvest, Firstfruits, and Pentecost

Shavuot (Hebrew) is one of the three major pilgrimage festivals commanded by God the Creator in the Holy Scriptures. It is among the most profound and spiritually significant appointed times in biblical revelation, carrying deep prophetic, agricultural, covenantal, and spiritual meanings for believers across generations.

It is known by several names:

Shavuot — (Hebrew)
Feast of Weeks — (English)
Pentecost — Greek name meaning “Fiftieth”
Feast of Harvest
Day of Firstfruits
Holy Convocation
High Day Sabbath

It occurs 50 days after Passover and marks:

* The wheat harvest in Israel

* The giving and receiving of the Torah (613 codified laws) at Mount Sinai on the sixth of Sivan

The observance of Shavuot is not a human invention or later religious tradition. It is a direct command from God as recorded in Scripture.

In Exodus:
“And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest…”
— Exodus 34:22

In Leviticus:
The clearest instruction concerning this feast is found here:

“And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath… seven sabbaths shall be complete: Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days…”
— Leviticus 23:15–16

Get Ready, Shabbat Day Is Here.

The Sabbath Begins and Ends

The Sabbath begins at sunset on Friday evening and ends at nightfall on Saturday.
It follows the biblical pattern that “the evening and the morning” make a day.

The origin of the Sabbath comes from creation in the Book of Genesis.
God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh day.

The Sabbath (called Shabbat in Hebrew) is one of the most important observances in Judaism. It is a holy day of rest, worship, peace, and spiritual renewal
