A young boy named Precious sadly passed away this afternoon near Gana Mixed Junction along Ugberikoko Road in Sapele.

According to reports, Precious had been ill for some time. His elder sister, Ese Joy, who lives nearby in the same area, was informed of his condition but reportedly did not respond. Earlier this morning, concerned individuals approached her again while Precious was still alive, pleading with her to take him to the hospital, but she allegedly ignored their appeals.

Further information gathered revealed that Precious had been abandoned by his family and had been living on the streets for a while. He survived by begging for food and was reportedly sleeping in an uncompleted building.

Unfortunately, he passed away this afternoon and, as of the time of this report, his body remains at the scene opposite Gana Mixed Junction on Ugberikoko Road.
