CONDOLENCE MESSAGE

Innā Lillāhi wa Innā Ilayhi Rājiʿūn

Barely have we begun to come to terms with the painful loss of our revered elder, Alhaji Muritala Olobi, when another heartbreaking news struck our community. It is with profound shock, heavy hearts and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah (SWT) that the Saki Muslim Community received the news of the passing of our beloved mother, Alhaja Adewale Riskat Omotayo, the beloved wife of Alhaji Kazali Adewale. This painful loss has deepened our grief and reminded us once again that every soul shall return to its Creator at the appointed time.

Alhaja Riskat Omotayo was a virtuous Muslimah whose life reflected faith, dignity and devotion. Her kindness, humility and service to Islam and humanity will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to those who knew her. Her demise is a great loss to her family, the Saki Muslim Community and the entire Muslim Ummah.

We pray that Almighty Allah (SWT), in His boundless mercy, forgives all her shortcomings, illuminates her grave and grants her the highest abode in Al-Jannatul Firdaus. We also pray that Allah grants her husband, children, the entire family and all those she left behind the strength, patience and faith to bear this painful and irreplaceable loss.

May Allah spare our community from repeated grief, comfort our hearts and keep us steadfast upon His path. Innā Lillāhi wa Innā Ilayhi Rājiʿūn.

A CRY FOR HELP: SAVE A YOUNG, PROMISING LIFE IN OUR COMMUNITY

Salam alaikum,

We bring before you the case of young Waliyullah Lukman from our community in Saki. He has been in pain for a long time, battling a serious bone condition that has left him weak and almost immobile. His parents have moved him from one hospital to another, and he has now been referred to Igbobi Orthopaedic Hospital for further care. They have spent all they have. At this point, they have nothing left, yet the child still needs urgent treatment.

This is a moment for us to stand together as one Ummah. The Prophet, peace be upon him, taught us to care for the weak and support those in distress. Waliyullah is in constant discomfort, and his family is overwhelmed. What they need now is our support, our kindness, and our quick response. No amount is too small. What you give can ease pain, restore hope, and help save a young life.

We appeal to you with sincerity. Please give what you can and encourage others to do the same. Let us not delay. Let us be the reason this child receives the care he needs. Kindly send your support to his father's account details below:

May Allah reward you, ease your affairs, and place barakah in all that you give.

My dear brothers and sisters,
As we mark Eid al-Fitr, I greet you with a heart full of gratitude and love. This day reminds us of sacrifice, patience, and the mercy of Allah. May He accept our fasting, forgive our shortcomings, and fill our homes with peace and joy.

Let us hold on to the unity and kindness we shared during Ramadan, and continue to care for one another as one family. I pray that this celebration brings ease, good health, and lasting happiness to every home in our community.

Eid Mubarak to you all.

MUSLIM COMMUNITY, SAKI

1st Ramadan, 1447/18th February, 2026

*Ramadan Kareem to all Muslims in Saki and beyond! 🌙*

As we commence this blessed month of Ramadan 1447AH, I extend my warmest greetings to all. This is a time for spiritual growth, self-reflection and unity. In this month of blessings, let us focus on strengthening our bond with Allah and with each other. Let our mosques be filled with worshippers; our hearts be filled with love and our communities be filled with peace.

My dear brothers and sisters, Ramadan is a time for forgiveness and reconciliation. Let us put aside our differences and unite in our pursuit of Allah's pleasure. Let us support each other, visit the sick, feed the hungry, and care for the vulnerable. May our efforts be accepted by Allah, and may we emerge from this month as better Muslims, better citizens, and better human beings.

As we observe the obligatory fasting in this sacred month, I pray that Allah blesses Saki with peace, prosperity, and progress.

Let us fast, pray and give charity. May Allah accept our fasting, prayers, and good deeds as acts of sincere ibaadat. May He grant us His mercy and forgiveness.
Ramadan Kareem!
