Today's Service was another perfect avenue to learn about Finances in the Kingdom way.
What do you prioritize most, your relationship with God or your needs and possessions?
What are the things you cling to for security?
Mark 10:27 reminds us that with God, all things are possible.
Here are key takeaways from today's service:
1. Kingdom is the King's domain.
There is abundance in this kingdom because our Father owns everything. Galatians 4:1-3, 7. We are heirs, but until we grow into spiritual maturity, we must learn to steward what is entrusted to us. Wealth is entrusted, not just given. God is looking for a breed with no greed.
2. Expose money worship.
Money worship sounds like:
If I don't have money, I am nobody
Once I have enough money, I will be happy
I cannot obey God if it will cost me
Money is a tool, not God. God must remain the owner of what we have. 1 Corinthians 4:7, Deuteronomy 8:18, Romans 11:36. Generosity breaks the power of greed and the stronghold of mammon. The more you give, the more you are free to give. Financial success without spiritual success is not true success.
3. What should we be saying to money?
We must speak from a place of stewardship, not slavery. Money serves us, we do not serve money.
4. How to know if you are a breed with no greed:
Can you possess money without money possessing you? 1 Timothy 6:10
Can you give without feeling like you are losing? Acts 20:35. Stewardship produces generosity
Can you say no to money? Can you refuse compromise when money is involved?
Can you enjoy money without worshipping it?
Are you willing to wait for money without worshipping it? 1 Timothy 6:17. A healthy relationship with wealth requires patience, discipline and process
Do you know where your money is going?
Can you be content before you get wealthy? Philippians 4:19, 1 Timothy 6:6. You can desire more and still declare that God is good
Does your pursuit of money weaken or strengthen your relationship with God and people? Matthew 6:24
In conclusion, God wants to raise a generation that handles kingdom resources with clean hands and a pure heart. A breed with no greed.
