📖 As a dog returneth to his vomit,so a fool returneth to his folly (prov 26:11)

*SODOM*:it was a very fertile, flourishing and we'll watered Land and could be compared to the garden of Eden (gen13:10).s***m was known for its inhospitality and immorality (homosexual acts- gen 19:5)and that earned their obliteration.
📌 Luke 17:32 "remember lot's wife" These 3 words spoken by Jesus tells us not to look back at the old life we had but rather press forward.
It is a reminder to every believer that although we are saved,we are still on the road to final and full salvation, therefore, do not look back at s***m and then go back to the bo***ge of sin you once left.
*Dangers of looking back*‼️‼️‼️
1) it keeps one in the dark and in a position of weakness- Gal4:9
2) it makes one lose focus, swerving left and right and lose direction (backslide)and if not carefully handled can lead to a total crash.
3)it keeps one in danger's path- luke 17:26-32
4)it makes one unfit for God's kingdom- like 9:62

📌Consequences of Abusing God's Grace📌

God never intended Grace to be a lisence for sin, rather, the means where by which we overcame sin. It was prophesied in the book of Matthew 1:21 that Jesus (being grace himself) shall save us from sin. It manifested in the death and resurrection of Jesus who took our sins upon Himself and made us free. He took disgrace and gave us Grace.

Abusing grace seems to have become a norm in the Christian society today, that's why we keep struggling with sin. We allowed ourselves to become dead in sin instead of being dead to sin (Rom 6:11-14).

The five foolish virgins abused the grace of God and they were shut out on the day of reckoning. See Matthew 25:10-12.
All their labour were in vain because they took God's grace for granted and didn't prepare. The door to eternal life was shut(verse 12).
♦️The man that was given one talent (Grace) to use and win souls took it for granted and was cast into outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth (eternal damnation) Matt 25:24-30. Even the little he had was taken from him.
♦️The people that were invited to a wedding ceremony by a king abused the privilege given to them. They never honoured the invitation, some even killed the king's servants that brought the message and they were destroyed with their belongings (Matt 22:1-7).

🙏🙏GRACE SHOULD MAKE US STRONGER NOT WEAKEN US. SO HELP US GOD🙏🙏

Results of God's Saving Grace (Titus 2:11-24)
📍The Grace of God helps us to turn from worldliness. Godliness is devotion to God in your heart(2 Pt 1:3)
We are under God's grace because of manifested love of God on the cross of Christ. Jesus' forgiveness of the pr******te who washed His feet with her tears in Luke 7:36-50, Paul's shipwreck, imprisonment,yet he praised God in all that (Acts 27:22-25,44; 16:24,25)

N/B:📌 You need God's grace to survive spiritually in this evil age.

📍This saving grace also teaches you to look forward to the appearance of Jesus-Titus 2:13
Do you look forward to the return of Christ?

📍 His saving grace moves you to do good works Titus 2:14

CONCLUSION: God's grace is active. The Grace of God that results in salvation should have a profound effect upon your life.
-If you are adding"sin to sin" (Isa 30:1), stop it! "Sin no more" (John 5:14; 8:11) and accept His saving grace Today!

♦️What is saving grace? This is the favour from God expressed upon those whom He has chosen for salvation. This expression of Grace results in salvation; hence,we have such verses as Eph 1:11.

♦️Our salvation is grace given: we now have access to all richies of God. God took our place on the cross, paying the price for our sins-saving grace🙇‍♀️

♦️Our salvation is faith accessed: By His grace, God initiated all that was necessary to produce our salvation. It is now up to us to respond to His invitation to benefit from that provision. How?🤔

And I set my face into the Lord God,to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting and sackcloth,and ashes.

♦️The act of saying a prayer or statement on behalf of another person or group of persons is INTERCESSION.
♦️ Daniel's prayer in Daniel 9 is an Intercessory prayer, as he prays earnestly for the restoration of Jerusalem and the entire nation.
♦️ The Bible records the intercession of Christ and the Holy Spirit, and of numerous Godly men and women under new and old covenants. (Rom. 8:34; Heb. 7:25)

Mary Magdalene may have been possessed and delivered of seven demons,but her witness is clear, and her devotion is unmistakable.
Easter is a declaration of the Glory of the Cross and the power of resurrection. It is the wonder of Christ and what He did to change our single, individual, eternal life. And that is the pulse of the powerful witness Mary gives of the Saviour who died and rose again that we could have forgiveness and life.
May we, like Mary Magdalene, go forth to be living witnesses to the living Lord Jesus Christ who killed death so we could live life.

Facts about Mary Magdalene🔖
♦️She was of Magdala; Magdala was believed to have been a place with number of villages, any of which Mary might have called home.
♦️She had been demonized; by no fewer than seven demons
♦️She had been rescued by Jesus. And that was how her life was changed.
And how did she respond to what Jesus did for her? She remained a devoted follower of Christ.
Lesson: he who was forgiven much should love much.
She stood by the cross (John 19:25)
She sat by the grave (Mark 15:47)

Sermon: The Power Of Prayer🙏
Bible Reference: Luke 23:42-43

♦️The prayer in the above scripture is a simple prayer of Repentance. It is one of the most remarkable conversions recorded in the Bible.

♦️This prayer changed his eternity forever. He was heading to hell up till that moment but, Jesus' response to his prayer altered his destiny vs 43.

♦️There is power behind asking and receiving. Paul and Silas had suffered the humiliation of imprisonment, their feet fastened in stocks and the backs lacerated. Yet in the middle of this suffering, they prayed and sang hymns of praise to God.
From their missionary experience we learn;

*That the believers joy is within, not conditioned by outward circumstances; persecution cannot destroy our peace and joy.

*Those who pray and fast prepare their spiritual womb to receive the seed of God which they incubate...

*Prayer turned a man heading to hell into Paradise. (Luke 23:42-43)
Therefore, Push Until Something Happens.

Praise as a weapon of spiritual warfare - Acts 16:25-26

What praises can do:
♦️Praises ushers us to God's presence Psalm 100:4
♦️God inhabits the praises of His people Psalm 22:3
♦️When people praise the Lord, the Earth would yield her increase and God shall bless His people Psalm 67:1-7
♦️If you have already been captured by the enemy, put in prison and bound, the only way to get our is PRAISE Acts 16:25-34
♦️When you are in any impossible situation, deploy the weapon of Praise. Praise never failed our Bible heroes past. It will not fail you either, in the mighty name of Jesus.
♦️Praise was King David's principal weapon; no wonder he said his heart is fixed on praising the Lord all the time Psalm 34:1
♦️Ensure that you live righteously as God never accepts the praises of sinners.

Conclusion:
With praise as your weapon of warfare, there is no enemy too great for you to conquer.

Text: Psalm 150:1-6
PSALM 150 is very instructive. Lists of musical instruments we can use to praise God; trumpet, psaltery, harp, and so on. The psalmist also qualified the cymbals with which we should praise our God. Thus, we can infer that our praises should be as loud as possible to Almighty God.

♦️The story of King Jehoshaphat and his encounter with three allied forces whi had come to attack him also shows the importance of having good choristers.

♦️When our praises goes up, He sends down victory to the church. Thus, we would not need to fight at all as He would always fight in our behalf. (2 Chronicles 20:17)

♦️Let the Body of Christ pay attention to equipping our choir. Even trees clap for our God. See Isaiah 55:12
