METHODIST CHURCH NIGERIA, WOJI CIRCUIT HOLDS CAROL OF NINE LESSONS AND CONFIRMATION SERVICE

On Sunday, 21st December 2025, the Methodist Church Nigeria, Woji Circuit, held her annual Carol of Nine Lessons alongside a Confirmation Service in a colourful and spirit-filled worship experience.
The service was graciously attended by His Lordship, the Rt. Rev. Ekpenyong Ekpenyong, Bishop of Dline Diocese, accompanied by other diocesan officials, ministers, church leaders, and members of the circuit. Their presence added great spiritual significance and honour to the occasion.

The Carol of Nine Lessons featured the traditional reading of biblical lessons that chronicle the story of salvation, interspersed with melodious carol renditions. These readings and songs were presented by various church arms and unit leaders, creating an atmosphere of worship, reflection, and celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

A major highlight of the service was the Confirmation Rite, during which eligible members publicly affirmed their faith and were formally received as full members of the Methodist Church. The confirmees were warmly welcomed into the Methodist family amid prayers and words of encouragement.

In his sermon, His Lordship, Rt. Rev. Ekpenyong Ekpenyong, admonished the newly confirmed members to allow God to use them as instruments for His glory. He further assured the congregation of God’s abiding presence, emphasizing that God is with us in all seasons of life.

The confirmees expressed visible joy and excitement as they embraced their new status as full members of the church, marking a significant milestone in their Christian journey.
The service ended on a joyful note, leaving members spiritually refreshed and grateful for a successful celebration.

Church Nigeria, The Redeemed Chapel, Rumukalagbor

The atmosphere was filled with joy, gratitude, and celebration as Methodist Church Nigeria, The Redeemed Chapel, Rumukalagbor, held its Annual Thanksgiving/Love Feast Service on Sunday. Worshippers turned out in large numbers, radiating excitement as they gathered to give thanks to God for His protection and provision throughout the year.

The event featured a variety of activities, including praise sessions, testimonies, and communal sharing. One of the major highlights of the day was the fundraising segment, during which members generously contributed toward the church’s ongoing building project—a gesture that reflected both unity and commitment to the growth of the ministry.

Speaking with our reporter, the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Barr. Godman Nwarinee, explained that the Love Feast holds deep significance for the congregation. According to him, the church does not usually organize a traditional harvest celebration. Instead, this annual Thanksgiving/Love Feast serves as a special moment for members to return thanks to God while also supporting essential church projects.

Barr. Nwarinee further revealed that refreshments for the event are always a collective effort. Members prepare meals from their homes and bring them to the church, where the dishes are shared and enjoyed by everyone in a communal spirit of love and fellowship.

The celebration continued with joy, laughter, and togetherness as members exchanged goodwill and reflected on God’s faithfulness throughout the year.
