We sympathize with all the family's affected by the flood currently ravaging homes in Nigeria, especially ONELGA Rivers State where our esteem members are situated.
We urge everyone affected by the flood to be strong in spirit. We understand the effect of the natural disaster to livelihood, the disruption to our daily lives, displacements and hike in cost of farm produce. The flood is a temporary natural disaster which will not see our end. We share in your inconveniences at this time and pray for fast and quick recovery.
We want to specially, thank Total Elf Oil company for the help they are rendering to those in the IDP camps especially at Egi areas including stationing an ambulance that takes anyone in need of medical help to specific hospitals in Omoku.
We also thank the efforts of the ONELGA Flood Committee in taking care of these internally displaced persons.
We thank all the individuals going out of their way to donate food and other items to the displaced persons, while urging all well meaning organizations, NGOs, government (local, state, and federal) to key into this and come to the rescue of those areas affected.
We shall be reaching out in any way we can.
