LIMELIGHT DAILY DEVOTIONAL
SUNDAY, 3RD MAY 2026.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: I LAY IT TO HEART, TO GIVE YOU ALL THE GLORY.
SCRIPTURAL FOCUS: Mal. 2:2 "If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart."
PREAMBLE
Until the heart hears the voice of sincere reasoning, the seed of gratitude and thanksgiving can not germinate, let alone bear fruit. Every heart that is ungrateful has taken both the blessing and the glory that is due to God, the doer of all good things. Many claim to forget to show appreciation but keep a record of evil done against them for decades. The truth is, no one forgets anything like where help came from. We only hid behind excuses to deny our helpers' gratitude and appreciation. Acts 12:23 "And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost." The Angel of the Lord stroked Herod simply because he gave not God the Glory. No one can dulge appreciation and successfully dulge the consequences - curse.
Hear this, until you lay it to heart, you will never see the need to give God all the glory. Thanksgiving flows from our hearts when we sincerely see the hand of God in the affairs of our lives. Many believe it is their smartness. Some see their success as one of those normal happenstances. Beloved, we in Limelight Church Global know better and behave differently. We lay it to heart. Our memory is always fresh. We know how we came to this church, and we know God has done so much for us. Years ago, a man came to church with a cow for child dedication and insisted he must be allowed to bring the cow into the church, in Fulfilment of his vow to God, should his wife give birth to a female child after seven boys. What many despise, someone else appreciates and displays affection publicly without shame. Receive wisdom to lay it to heart in Jesus' Name.
SPIRITUAL COUNSEL: Magnify Every little act of kindness you receive and give God glory for everything.
LESSONS TO LEARN;
1. Gratitude is a choice to make, not a gift to covet.
2. You can not enjoy the blessing and the glory together.
3. God Does not forgive Ingratitude, think about herod.
4. Nothing is too much to show gratitude. Learn it.
5. The consequence of stealing God's glory is too heavy to bear.

PRAYER: Father, in the name of Jesus, I choose to lay it to heart, to thank you, and to give you all the glory, I repent of every act of Ingratitude, I will show gratitude from now on in Jesus Name.
