The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Year A
"Trinity depicts a God that is Holy, One and Undivided in Unity, though Three in One they are in the Godhead. The human mind cannot fully grab or demystify the Trinity, as they are Equal in Majesty, Power and Dignity. Yet, today we celebrate God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as a Church.
Scripturally, allusions are made about the Trinity in the Creation Story (Gen. 1:26), the Annunciation (Luke 1:35), the Baptism of Jesus (Matt. 17:5ff), and the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19 to 20).
The Trinity teaches us valuable lessons. Unity: though diverse, our purpose should be united as a church. Love: our relationship should be that of love between us all. Simplicity: no matter how complicated our relationship is, there should be simple activities that bring us together and make people see us as one.
Strength in Diversity: just as we see strength in the family of father, mother and children, the Trinity is its model, with everyone knowing their duty and strengthening the other. God the Father is the Creator, God the Son the Redeemer, and God the Holy Spirit the Sanctifier.
A full exhaustion of the Mystery of the Trinity means God ceases to be God. We are called instead to live our lives replicating the relationship in the Trinity in our own relationships."
As we celebrate the Most Holy Trinity, we are reminded that faith is not merely about understanding every mystery of God but about living the values God reveals to us. May our families, communities, and parish reflect the unity, love, and harmony that exist within the Trinity, becoming visible signs of God's presence in the world.
