*SATURDAY OCTOBER 17TH, 2026*

*LIVE JOYFULLY*

*Philippians 4:4 (KJV, CEV, TPT), 1Thessalonians 5:16-18 (CEV)*

*Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. *Always be glad because of the Lord! I will say it again: Be glad. *Be cheerful with joyous celebration in every season of life. Let joy overflow, for you are united with the Anointed One! *Always be joyful. and never stop praying. Whatever happens, keep thanking God because of Jesus Christ. This is what God wants you to do.*

God wants us to be joyful always. He wants us to always have the same joy He has. The joy of the Lord is not just the joy you have because of God; it is the same joy God has. When you have the same joy God has, the strength of God will be stirred up in you, and you will be unstoppable (Neh. 8:10). To have the same joy God has, you must have the same focus, mindset, and perspective God has. You must be conscious of what God is conscious of and see things the way God sees them. God is always rejoicing over you with singing (Zeph. 3:16-17). He is rejoicing over you because of what He knows about you and what He has already done for you through Christ.

Our joy is not based on what we are going through. Rather, it is based on what we know about God, His love, His presence, His power, His promises, and His plans for our lives. There is so much going for you in God. Jesus wants us to cheer up because He has overcome the world for us (John 16:33). Jesus has already won the victory for you. Worrying cannot add a cubit or anything positive to your life (Matt. 6:27). Instead, it will drain you of strength and life. Instead of being anxious, pray with faith and thanksgiving for your request, and trust God for His abundant grace (Phil. 4:6). All things are working together for your good (Rom. 8:28).

*THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15TH, 2026*

*LIVE BY THE LEADING AND EMPOWERMENT OF THE SPIRIT*

*Romans 8: 4, 13-14 (GNB) God did this so that the righteous demands of the Law might be fully satisfied in us who live according to the Spirit, and not according to human nature. *For if you live according to your human nature, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death your sinful actions, you will live. Those who are led by God's Spirit are God's children.*

The only way we can live like Christ and be all that God wants us to be is by the leading and empowerment of the Holy Spirit. When Mary was wondering how she was going to give birth to Christ, the angel told her, โ€œThe Holy Spirit will come down to you, and God's power will come over youโ€ฆโ€ (Luke 1:35, CEV). By the power of the Spirit, you shall live like Christ. God is at work in you by (His Spirit) making you willing and able to do His good will (Phil.2:13). You have no reason to be afraid or to fail in any area of your life. Instead, grow in your awareness of the Holy Spirit's presence and yield yourself to His leading and empowerment. He will always counsel you, help you, intercede for you, advocate for you, strengthen you, and be your standby (John 14:16, AMPC). He is leading and empowering you as He did to Jesus.

We do not overcome the lusts of the flesh by trying to overcome them in our own strength and wisdom. We overcome them by yielding to the leading and empowerment of the Spirit. It is as we yield to the leading of the Spirit that we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. As you yield to Him, He will develop and manifest more of the fruit (character and nature) of Christ in you (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control) Gal. 5:22-23. You will also manifest His gifts (1Cor. 12:7-11).

*Prayer:*

Father, I thank you for leading and empowering me by your Spirit. Please help me to be more conscious and yield to your Spirit.
