PREPARATION FOR CHRISTMAS: Matthew 1:18-21
Preparation means things done to get ready for something. Every year we celebrate Christmas which reminds us the day Jesus was born. The purpose of His birth is to save us from our sin.
Before His birth, God prepared a virgin called Mary who is to be the mother of the Savior of world. When God was about to deliver Israelites from Egypt during the reign of Pharaoh. (Exodus 11:1-5; 12: 1-14) take a lamb with out blimish and they have keep it by them, they had to kill the lamb and obtain the blood, and put on the litter and two side of the post of the door. And God said when I see the blood, I will pass over you. All the above were their preparation. How are you preparing for the Christmas? 🎄 I know that when Christmas is approaching we start buying gifts, preparing for party, etc. Most time, we don't have time to prepare for things that concern salvation of our souls, spiritual well-being of our souls, even our relationship with God is zero. How are you preparing for Christmas? If you don't have any idea. I want to let know that you're a stranger on earth. You don't know when God has in His power to call you out from this planet earth.
Your preparation should be how you should give your life to Jesus at this Christmas. Let your gifts at this Christmas to Jesus, (1.) Your heart, let Him come in Matthew 5:8; 15:8;
